Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild
Chapter 1515: He Fell
CHAPTER 1515: CHAPTER 1515: HE FELL
Charlotte Thompson no longer wanted to stay here.
Just as she was about to speak up and find an excuse to leave, the man in front of her continued to speak:
"Sorry, I shouldn’t have brought up these matters with Miss Thompson."
Leon Battleson shook his head a bit helplessly. Whether it was Charlotte’s illusion or not, she felt as if Leon Battleson’s face had grown paler.
"Mr. Battleson, I think matters of collaboration between brands should be discussed at a later time by your company sending someone to Riley Group. I have other matters and need to leave first."
With that, Charlotte stood up from her seat. No matter what, she felt it was better to leave first.
Faced with Charlotte’s reaction, Leon Battleson only slightly lifted his eyes.
Then he quietly responded with a sound and stood up from his chair, clearly intending to escort Charlotte out of the restaurant.
But as Leon Battleson took just one step forward, his once tall stature suddenly began to sway slightly.
When Charlotte turned her head, she found Leon Battleson’s body unexpectedly collapsing weakly to the side.
This action startled Charlotte, and she gasped, but instinctively reached out to catch Leon, pulling their distance suddenly closer due to his movement.
Charlotte noticed the strong scent of blood from Leon Battleson’s body, which seemed to have intensified because of the recent actions.
Following the line of Leon’s neck, Charlotte’s gaze fell on his collar, catching a glimpse of a patch of fair skin with what seemed to be scars faintly visible.
Initially, Charlotte intended to push Leon away directly but hesitated for a moment.
Fortunately, at this moment, Leon slowly regained his senses. He opened his eyes sluggishly, and upon realizing he was half-leaning on Charlotte, his expression instantly became flustered.
He propped his arm on the edge of the table, trying to rise in a panic, but inadvertently pulled on the wound on his arm that Charlotte had seen, causing his brow to furrow in pain.
At this moment, Leon Battleson appeared particularly fragile and pitiable. The sharpness he usually displayed had entirely disappeared, with his entire aura exuding a sense of despondency.
As though he were a crystal doll, likely to shatter with a slight touch.
At this time, Charlotte’s tightly furrowed brows did not relax in the slightest, but a hint of profound implication emerged in her eyes.
"Sorry, I’m a bit..."
Leon licked his somewhat pale lips, striving to maintain his posture, and then curved his lips into a smile at Charlotte.
However, before he could finish speaking, Charlotte turned her head to call over the restaurant’s server.
Charlotte initially hesitated but then asked if the restaurant had anything to dress the wound.
Soon, the server brought over a not-too-large medical kit, seemingly prepared by the restaurant for emergencies.
"You should take care of the wound on your arm."
Charlotte glanced at the contents of the medical kit, then focused on Leon’s arm, noticing the black suit faintly stained with a trace of blood.
No wonder Leon Battleson’s complexion was worsening; it was likely due to the continuously bleeding wound.
