CHAPTER 1531: CHAPTER 1531: THE THOMPSON FAMILY’S INDUSTRY
"Ahem!"
Jonathan covered his mouth with his fist, coughed forcefully to alleviate the awkwardness on his face, then turned to Justin Battleson and said:
"If I ever find out that you dare to bully my sister or do something that wrongs her, I’ll never let you get away with it."
"I will never do such a thing."
Justin’s voice showed no ripple, yet his gaze was profoundly steadfast, fixated directly on Charlotte’s face, with no hint of wavering.
This made Charlotte involuntarily purse her lips and reach out to hook Justin’s fingers.
"Easier said than done." Jonathan snorted lightly toward Justin.
"Oh, come on, Seventh Brother, there’s really nothing going on. Sorry you had to come all the way here."
Charlotte quickly mediated between Jonathan and Justin upon sensing the tension between them.
Jonathan exhaled a breath, then stood up and gently ruffled Charlotte’s hair, speaking slowly:
"By the way, I actually have something to ask you about. What happened at the shopping mall today? Since you went to that mall, just tell Big Brother—that mall belongs to the Thompson Family. Why would you need to spend money there!"
Hearing Jonathan suddenly mention the mall incident, Charlotte was slightly taken aback, then awkwardly scratched her cheek.
"The situation was a bit complex at the time, but didn’t I contact Big Brother in advance?"
The mall Charlotte and Jonathan referred to was the same one Charlotte had visited that day.
Though the Thompson Family’s roots were not in Druarus, many of its businesses were established there, including the mall Charlotte visited, which was actually owned by the Thompson Family, with several brands belonging to the Thompson Family within it.
Initially, Charlotte hadn’t really thought about it. It only dawned on her later during her confrontation with Lily Cooper when she noticed the logo outside the store.
She discreetly contacted Henry Thompson to handle the follow-up matters, then conspicuously swiped her black card.
Charlotte never liked flaunting her wealth, nor did she want to waste money.
However, Charlotte didn’t realize that it was fortunate she only quietly flaunted her wealth with the black card. If others present knew the mall was owned by her family, it might have been even more shocking.
Still, Charlotte only told Jonathan about Lily’s provocations and naturally kept the unpleasant details to herself.
Upon hearing Charlotte’s explanation, Jonathan pondered briefly, then laughed coldly:
"A starlet, huh? Got it. I’ll inform Big Brother and Second Brother when I get home: our family’s brand stores will no longer serve them."
"Actually, there’s no need to be so drastic. It’s just a trivial matter; there’s no need to trouble you all." Charlotte listened to Jonathan, waving her hand dismissively.
"Someone bullied my sister, how could I let that slide?" Jonathan said, deliberately enunciating the word "bullied," while his gaze subtly shifted toward Justin.
Charlotte knew her Seventh Brother’s temper well, so she didn’t argue further, simply nodded at him.
"Alright, since you’re okay, I’ll be heading back. I’ll help you deal with the online stuff."
With that, Jonathan pulled out his phone and tapped on the screen a few times.
