"You have a beautiful appearance, incredible talent, an enviable family background, and... a fiancé."

When she said the three words "fiancé," Riley Thompson paused slightly, quickly blinking a few times, seeming to want to hide the emotions rising in her gaze.

But for some reason, Charlotte always felt Riley’s words held deep meaning.

Upon hearing this, Charlotte understood. Riley was explaining the reason for yesterday night’s events and why she didn’t come forward to clarify.

However, Charlotte hadn’t expected Riley to reveal so much, which left the excuse she was about to make stuck in her throat.

"Miss Riley, why did you enter the entertainment industry? Is it to become famous or to be an actress?"

Just then, Annie Anne’s voice interrupted Riley.

As Charlotte looked up, Annie Anne had already walked over from behind Riley.
