"I never thought I’d run into Leon Battleson in the restaurant today."

Charlotte Thompson looked up at Justin Battleson in front of her, telling him everything that had happened today.

But after hearing Charlotte’s explanation, Justin’s expression didn’t soften much, and he even cast a slightly scrutinizing gaze upon her.

This look from Justin made Charlotte a bit uneasy, and even her voice sounded somewhat aggrieved.

"Don’t you trust me?"

"Then why did he touch you?" Justin’s voice was somewhat muffled.

"He suddenly grabbed my hand, and I couldn’t break free." Charlotte explained softly.

"I didn’t want him to touch me either, I’m sorry. From now on, if I meet him again, I’ll stay far away from him, alright? I won’t have any contact with him."

Upon hearing Charlotte’s words, Justin finally loosened his arms and reached out to tidy her slightly messy hair.

"I know, I know. It’s just that I somewhat lost control of my temper."

Now for Justin, Leon Battleson was like a thorn in his heart, and now it also involved Charlotte, making it impossible for Justin to remain at ease.

"Yeah, you did hurt me earlier." Charlotte softened her gaze and pitifully held out her hand to Justin, showing him the marks on her arm.

"What happened?"

Holding Charlotte’s fingertips, a hint of guilt appeared on Justin’s face, but he really hadn’t noticed the marks on her hand.

Justin’s question naturally reminded Charlotte of what happened today, and she couldn’t help but sigh, briefly explaining to Justin about the situation with Annie Anne.

As she spoke, Charlotte angrily clenched her fist.

Then, as if remembering something, Charlotte turned to Justin and said, "By the way, have you ever investigated Riley Thompson’s background?"

Recalling Riley’s expression at that moment, Charlotte furrowed her brows.

"So out of curiosity, I asked Riley if she knew Leon. Riley answered me without hesitation, saying they didn’t know each other, but the feeling was so odd, as if she was eager to clear up something..."

"Are you suspecting that Riley and Leon might actually know each other?"

Hearing Charlotte’s words, Justin asked aloud.
