Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild
Chapter 1587 Charlotte Thompson Has Some Hostility Toward You
CHAPTER 1587: CHAPTER 1587 CHARLOTTE THOMPSON HAS SOME HOSTILITY TOWARD YOU
Everything was explained clearly, Charlotte Thompson turned around, naturally not noticing Riley Thompson’s smirk as she stared at her back.
Then she turned around, meeting the gaze of a man hidden in the shadows.
And this man was the stage manager who had hastily pulled Charlotte aside earlier.
As Charlotte left, the crowd dispersed, and Riley’s gaze subtly shifted as she walked over to Summer Lilian.
"Summer Lilian, are you okay?"
Seeing Summer still glaring coldly in the direction where Charlotte had left, Riley spoke softly.
But the response was a somewhat discontented stare from Summer.
"Are you here to see me make a fool of myself?" Summer scoffed coldly.
She had no fondness for Riley at all, and now, what angered her more was the words Charlotte had said to her.
Charlotte actually insulted her in front of so many people!
Startled by Summer’s icy tone, Riley quickly shook her head to explain, "I didn’t mean that, I just think Miss Charlotte’s words were quite harsh, and I feel a bit sorry for you."
Riley spoke gently, as if trying to soothe Summer’s emotions.
"Actually, I feel Miss Charlotte seems to have some hostility towards you. Could it be because... you’re one of Mr. Battleson’s artists?"
Originally, Summer thought Riley’s chatter was really annoying and was about to reprimand her, but upon hearing Riley’s words, Summer’s eyes turned.
Riley’s words directly hit on what Summer had been thinking.
Noticing Summer’s change in expression, Riley smirked internally but outwardly added fuel to the fire.
"Last time, didn’t Mr. Battleson come to the set because you got injured? Could Charlotte be upset because of that..."
"None of your business!"
But before Riley finished speaking, Summer impatiently looked askance at her, "Instead of spending time talking here, you might as well go back and memorize your lines more, lest one day your role is snatched by a stunt double."
Having said that, Summer arrogantly tidied her hair and then turned to leave.
"Idiot."
Riley muttered through clenched teeth, already starting to doubt Summer’s intelligence, wondering if she could execute Riley’s subsequent plans.
On the other side, Charlotte first returned to the set, intending to inform the director about her situation.
Annie Anne had long finished filming, and she raised her head, about to speak to Charlotte, but noticed the stains on her clothes, which made her frown.
"Weren’t you supposed to fetch the keys? Is there still red wine in the makeup room?"
"No, there was a small incident," Charlotte shook her head and briefly recounted what had happened to Annie Anne.
Even though the words were coming from Charlotte, Annie Anne still felt it was a bit bizarre.
"How can there be such people? They can’t even recognize their own cast members?"
Reflecting on not having seen the stage manager who had pulled her earlier, Charlotte pondered, and then under Annie Anne’s urging, she went to the director’s place to inquire about the clothing issue.
Fortunately, it was a modern drama, and the wardrobe staff didn’t react strongly.
And since Charlotte wasn’t playing a significant role, she was informed that she could wear her own clothes on camera.
Thus, Charlotte returned to the makeup room to change, but as soon as she stood in the hallway, she heard voices coming from the makeup room...
