Three Years After They Abandoned Me by Rosalind Silver

Stemanded, “Someone, take her away.”
Anna hade alone today, and while she had brought reporters with her, they were already gone. She was no match for the security guards.
Feeling faint, Anna attempted to copse, catching a few of the guards off guard.
Ste spoke up, “Don’t mind her; her fainting is just an act.”
In fact, Ste had been investigating Anna’s health records over the past few days. Initially, they showed a variety of health issues, but gradually, things started to look suspicious.
Even if she had taken nutrients from her in the womb, with proper care, she could have recoveredpletely. There was no way Anna should be fainting at the drop of a hat.
It waster revealed that Anna had colluded with a doctor long ago. Every time she visited, the doctor would help her out.
Ste was shocked to discover that Anna had bribed that doctor when she was just five years old, handing over money given to her by Fiona
and Andrew.
By the time Anna was eighteen, she had even slept with that doctor, who had been helping her all these years.
Ste was stunned, almost speechless. She thought, “No wonder Anna had been scheming to kidnap me at such a young age; her mind must be too dark to imagine.”
Seeing that this tactic wasn’t working, Anna was thinking of other ways when Ste led her to the underground parking garage of the Hayes
Group.
N rushed in from outside, handing something to Ste.
Several security guards pinned Anna in ce, keeping her pressed to the floor. Looking at the object in Ste’s hand, Anna asked, “What are you nning to do?”
“How effective is it?” Ste asked N.
N replied, “I’ve heard it’s pretty potent, but if she doesn’t get released, it could cause her to explode.”
Ste pretended to be frightened. “That sounds terrifying! But also quite interesting.”
Anna asked, “What are you going to do?”
“Hold her down,” Ste ordered the guards.
Ste walked over to Anna and lifted her head. Anna tried to bite her, but Ste dodged just in time.
Ste pped her across the face. “Anna, did iyou /ijust try to bite me?”
Anna red at Ste. “If you dare do anything to me, Monroe won’t let you get away with it.”
Ste replied, “The one Monroe won’t let off the hook is you.”
Anna’s eyes flickered with uncertainty, “Does Ste know?”

Ste signaled to the guards. One of them held Anna’s mouth open while Ste poured the substance into her mouth, forcing bher /bto swallow ollibit/bb. /b/li/ol
Anna tried to spit it out, but since it was powdery, she couldn’t. “What did
you
make me take?”
Ste sneered. “Whatever you gave me before, that’s exactly what I gave you.”
“Ste, I’m your sister,” Anna shouted.
“And I’m your elder sister,” Ste shot back.
ring at her, Ste continued, “Before doing all those things, did you ever think about me being your real sister? You just wanted to steal our parents‘ love, our brother’s love, and everyone’s love. You wished I were dead. Too bad for you, I’m not.
“Even if I had died, I wouldn’t havee back to take revenge on you. Anna, remember, this is just the beginning”
Ste had a meeting to attend and didn’t have time to keep talking to Anna. She addressed the guards, “Throw her out.”
The guards hesitated, thinking, ‘If we throw her out and the drug takes effect, she could be in real danger. But considering Ms. Hayes almostb… /bMs. Hayes had said to leave it up to fate.‘ They proceeded to throw Anna out.
Ste and N entered thepany. N gave a signal to one of the security guards, who understood and followed Anna.
Anna desperately needed to find Monroe. She quickly grabbed her phone and called him.
Anna eximed, “Monroe, listen to me. Ste has gone too far. I went to reconcile with her today, but she drugged me.
“She imed I was the one who drugged her while she was on a business trip. I would never do something like that. I feel really unwell bright /bnow. You need toe over, or I might end up with some other guy…”
“Wait for me. I’m on my way,” Monroe replied, asking for her address and rushing out, skipping his meeting.
His assistant wanted to call out to him, but Monroe was moving too fast. The assistant watched him leave, feeling helpless and thinking, ‘How many times has this happened this month?
‘People are getting fed up. They’reining to Arthur, saying that Monroe only cares about women and not thepany. At this rate, bthe /bpany is doomed.
‘Initially, Arthur didn’t say anything, but recently he came to me, asking me to keep an eye on Monroe. If this continues, I’m afraid Monroe…‘
Ste had been in a meeting and hadpletely forgotten about Anna.
By the time she finished, it was already noon. N approached her and whispered, “Ms. Hayes, I have news about Anna.”
That was when Ste remembered. “What happened to her?”
N replied, “When the drug took effect, she randomly grabbed a guy on the street and tried to… well, you know.
“He was so scared he called the police, but just then, Lionel happened to pass by. By the time Monroe arrivedb, /bLion d already been bin /bbthe /bcar with Anna several times.”
Ste chuckled but felt a bit sentimental. “How did it have to be Lionel? What a lucky break for them. What about Monroe?”
N said, “Monroe is very upset, but he has epted the reality. He knows it was you who drugged bAnna/bb, /bbso he /bbmight /bbhold /bbyou /bbresponsible /b
“As for Lionel, he just beat up the guy and then left with Anna. What he does nextb, /bI’m not sureb./bb” /b

Ste responded, “bIt’s /bfine. I had already anticipated this oue before i did it.”
Feeling hungry, Ste decided to take N out for a meal. By coincidence, she saw Andrew having dinner with a woman,
Andrew was sitting with his back to them, so he didn’t notice Ste. But Ste recognized the woman–Andrew’s old me. Rumor had it bthat /bwhen Andrew first married Fiona, this woman hade back into his life, but Fioria won in the end.
Since then, no woman had managed to get close to Andrew; he had remained quite restrained. It seemed that after Fiona’s actions, Andreur was no longer content.
Ste and N chose a table away from Andrew’s line of sight and sat down to eat.
After their meal, Ste spotted Monroe.
N was worried about Ste and wanted to stay close. Ste asked iher /ito stand aside but ishe /ikept an eye on her.
Monroe’s eyes were filled with such anger that it felt as if it would drown Ste. He stared at her for a long time before saying, “Ste, no one should act like you do.
“Even if you have experienced darkness, taking revenge on innocent people–isn’t that going too far?”
