Thrusted into a world ruled by women
Chapter 62: Disobeying orders
CHAPTER 62: DISOBEYING ORDERS
Jin ran to his room and opened the laptop. Once the screen woke up, he saw that all of the files had been deleted. He even removed ways to access the laptop remotely, so there was most likely some hardware installed on it that allowed the cult to remotely delete files.
"Dammit. I was planning on turning this in to the Aegis Corps." Jin tossed the laptop away, but Angela caught it.
"You can still give it to them. Besides, knowing you, I bet you have copies of these files saved."
"I do, and this situation isn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but having the laptop would have been great because I could have accessed their network if I had more time to fiddle with it. Now, I can’t do that."
"I’d still turn in the laptop," Angela suggested.
"Yeah. You’re right." Jin took the laptop from her and placed it in a bag.
"So, what now?" She asked
"First, we find out what’s going on with the rally. We need to gather as much information as we can to send back to the Aegis Corps, especially information about Project Omega. Honestly, that’s the priority right now. If we can get that information, we’ll be prepared for what they can throw at us."
Angela nodded, agreeing with Jin’s outlook. As a person with powers, she had to admit that she was scared to think about living in a world where they could be stripped from her. The thought of losing her powers was a frightening one, and she would do anything she could to prevent that from happening.
"Wanna fuck?" She asked, moving on from the topic.
"What?"
"I’m bored and horny. And you’re looking real sexy tight now."
"Fine. But we’re not fucking until sunset."
They indeed fucked until sunset.

"And why didn’t you come to us about this information first?" Mrs Horton asked after being handed the laptop that Jin stole from the camp, alongside the files Jin downloaded.
"Because I wanted to skim through it first."
Mrs Horton raised an eyebrow, not liking the answer Jin gave. What he did was in defiance of the Aegis Corps and went against their policy. If he had done this outside of a mission, then it would have been okay, but he didn’t, and that was the problem.
"You could get written for doing this, you know."
"Really?" Jin’s neutral expression changed to one of excitement. If he kept breaking the rules, then he would be kicked out of the Corps, so hearing that he could be written up made him happy.
"Honestly, I don’t understand how someone like you would want to be kicked out of the Aegis Corps. People work extremely hard to make it in, and most fail. Are you breaking the rules on purpose, Jin?"
Jin answered honestly. He had no reason to lie. "No, I’m not breaking the rules intentionally, but I genuinely don’t care if I do. After all, it’s not like I’m going behind your backs to plot against you or something. I’m trying to stop the Sons of Adam as well. But hey, if I get kicked out because of that, then I’m not complaining."
Even Mrs Lockman couldn’t help but shake her head at Jin’s shamelessness. People would feel like the world ended if they got kicked out of the Corps, and Jin was welcoming that option.
"What an insane guy." Mrs Lockman said out loud by accident.
"Miss Lockman, while it is okay to have opinions of others, please try to keep them to yourself."
"M-My apologies! I didn’t mean to say that out loud!"
"But you’re right. You’re one insane bastard, Jin!" Mrs Horton said while slamming her hands on her desk.
"I’m pretty sure she said ’insane guy’, not bastard."
"Anyway, Jin, come to us with this information first, okay? I don’t want to punish you." Mrs Horton was being serious this time. She let the other times slide because trouble came to him, but she wouldn’t be nice all the time.
"Allow me to investigate this matter, and I will." Jin’s mind hadn’t changed, and he still wanted to be assigned to the team that was investigating the Sons of Adam. He didn’t care if he was ’important’ or ’valuable’, he simply wanted the thorn in his side gone, and to do that, he needed to pull it himself.
"This again. Sherry, did Jin’s file mention him being hard of hearing? Because if I remember correctly, I said NO the previous times he asked me to assign him to the Sons of Adam case."
"No, Mrs Horton, I do not recall his file stating that Jin is suffering from a hearing condition."
"Is that so? Then why does this bastard keep asking me that question?! Huh? Jin?"
"Excuse me, but can you repeat what you said? I didn’t hear you." Since she was making jokes about him, Jin just went along with it.
"Funny. But no, Jin. I’m not assigning you to this. And if I learn that you disobeyed my orders again, I’ll be suspending...fuck that wont work on you since you would actually like that. Aha! I’ll give you more missions! How about that?!"
Jin didn’t respond and looked into the principal’s eyes. He was trying to see if there was any hidden meaning behind them, but there wasn’t. She was being as serious as she could be in this situation.
"Whatever." Jin left the room without even being dismissed.
"He’s totally going to go behind our backs and continue looking into this matter." Miss Lockman said after Jin left.
Mrs Horton leaned back in her chair and sighed. "I know. Jin is very talented and smart. Honestly, he should have been arrested long ago, but the guy is such a gem that it’s better to use his talents than throw them away. Besides, he is also not trying to do anything bad and is helping us out. I just hope that his adventures don’t get him killed."
"And what will you do if he disobeys your commands again?"
"I’ll punish him, of course, but honestly, I wont stop him from looking into the Sons of Adam. He’s doing a lot better than our team is. Speaking of them, can I get them fired or something?" Mrs Horton didn’t like how the team meant to gather information about the sons of Adam was doing worse than Jin.
"No, Mrs Horton, you cannot."
"Dammit."
