"Who allowed her to go out with a concussion?" Shen Jue’s voice turned cold. "Is your teacher an idiot? Knowing Rong Qingqing is injured and still asking her out?"

"It’s not for now." Shen Qiao shook his head, explaining, "Teacher Lin’s invitation was for Sister Qingqing after she recovered, at some book café I’ve never heard of; probably never been there either."

Shen Qiao got a headache just thinking about books; how could he possibly go to a book café?

"Sometimes a verbal agreement from an adult doesn’t mean they’ll definitely go," Shen Jue said. "It’s just to save face, not convenient to refuse at the time."

"Really?" Shen Qiao’s eyes widened. "You grown-ups have such complicated interactions. If you don’t want to meet, why feel embarrassed to refuse?"

Shen Qiao shook his head. "I think my Sister Qingqing will go."

After saying that, Shen Qiao snorted and turned to leave Shen Jue’s room.

Liao Yamei followed her husband and Mr. Shen out of the villa.

After being slapped by her husband, Liao Yamei followed quietly and didn’t dare to make a sound.

Shen Gaizhuo observed Mr. Shen’s expression for a long time before tentatively saying, "Dad, do you feel that Qingqing’s personality has changed a lot?"
