CHAPTER 357: CHAPTER 357: COME DOWN TO THE LIVING ROOM

It was Black Shen Jue who spotted a couple by the rock.

After tutoring Shen Qiao with today’s lessons, Rong Qingqing had already finished by eleven. They took a bath, and both lay chatting in bed.

Shen Qiao held Rong Qingqing’s arm with a mischievous look, urging Rong Qingqing, "Sister Qingqing, my brother killed your precious fish, you can’t forgive him easily."

Shen Qiao knew Rong Qingqing and Shen Jue were having their engagement party next Saturday, and she thought Rong Qingqing allowed it, instantly feeling upset.

This meant Rong Qingqing had to get up at five-thirty to pack and put on makeup.

Shen Qiao murmured an "oh," snuggling against Rong Qingqing with a satisfied look.

She wished her brother would upset Sister Qingqing every day, so Sister Qingqing would sleep with her every night, which made her very happy.

The two lay down, turned off the lights, and Rong Qingqing soon fell asleep unknowingly.

Until the phone ringtone woke her up, Rong Qingqing was annoyed from sleep.

She picked up her phone to see Shen Jue was calling; Rong Qingqing glanced at the sleeping Shen Qiao and went outside to answer.

"Come down to the living room," Shen Jue said.

Rong Qingqing muttered an "oh," then entered the elevator and pressed for the first floor.

She wondered why Shen Jue was calling her downstairs so late.

Anyways, she only went downstairs to fulfill her goodnight task, otherwise she’d go straight back to sleep.

The phone showed it was already one in the morning.

Nanny Zhao and the rest of the staff were already resting.

The living room lights were still on, with Shen Jue and Lin Bufan by the fish tank.

"Why did you call me?" Rong Qingqing asked from a few steps away.

"To see the fish," Shen Jue replied.

"Don’t tell me my fairy Qingqing fish miraculously met a divine doctor and was saved?" Rong Qingqing sneered, "I won’t believe such nonsense."

Lin Bufan’s eyes widened, nervously rubbing the tip of his nose.

Shen Jue glanced at him, his eyes saying plainly, you’re looking like a fool.

Rong Qingqing, annoyed, walked in towards them, glancing at the fish tank as directed by Shen Jue.

One look.

Face full of surprise.

"So many!"

Rong Qingqing was overjoyed, "How can there be so many?"

"Boss personally..." Lin Bufan quickly tried to credit his boss.

But before he could finish, one cold look from Shen Jue shut him up.

Shen Jue then grabbed Rong Qingqing’s hand, speaking in a very calm tone, "I personally went to the creek and caught them. You lost one, I repay with ten. Let’s reconcile."

Rong Qingqing’s hand was held, trying to maintain composure.

Upon hearing Shen Jue say he caught them himself, Rong Qingqing immediately touched Shen Jue’s pants leg, "You went in the water too?"

Once touched, Shen Jue’s pant legs were indeed wet and still dripping water.

"I said I caught them myself, not lying." Shen Jue looked dissatisfied, "Do I look like someone who exaggerates?"

"That’s not the point." Rong Qingqing’s face turned cold, "It rained in Qing City the day before yesterday, right? After the rain, creek water rises, and you went in while being in a wheelchair. Do you know how dangerous that was?"
