Today, I'm Going to Spend the Billionaire's Hundred Million Again
Chapter 42: Feeling Guilty
CHAPTER 42: CHAPTER 42: FEELING GUILTY
Rong Qingqing came downstairs and saw the three members of the Shen Family still having breakfast. Rong Qingqing exclaimed, "Qiaoqiao isn’t going to class today?"
Shen Qiao gave Rong Qingqing a glare, "Are you still half-asleep? It’s Saturday today, I don’t have classes."
Rong Qingqing touched the tip of her nose. Alright, she forgot.
Rong Qingqing went over to Shen Qiao’s side, reaching out to rub Shen Qiao’s head, "Little girl always being fierce, not cute at all."
Before Shen Qiao could explode, Rong Qingqing sat down and turned to Nanny Zhao for breakfast.
"Give me a cup of soy milk, an egg, and five dumplings, that’ll be enough." After ordering, Rong Qingqing turned to look at Shen Jue next to her, smiling as she greeted Shen Jue, "Good morning!"
Shen Jue wasn’t in a good mood, but recalling the matter Rong Qingqing discussed with Zhang Tan last night, despite her ill temperament, she still had a bearable side. For Shen Qiao’s sake, Shen Jue responded, "Good morning."
Shen Jue’s response left Shen Qiao dumbfounded.
Upon seeing them in the morning, Shen Qiao knew Shen Jue was in a bad mood, thus didn’t dare to say anything. Unexpectedly, Rong Qingqing greeted Shen Jue and he actually responded.
Shen Qiao was envious instead, pondering and then tentatively following up, "Brother, good morning!"
Shen Jue lifted his gaze to look at Shen Qiao across from him, and responded with a sound, "Hmm."
Shen Qiao pouted, "Why was her response three words and mine only one!"
Rong Qingqing laughed mischievously, probably because Shen Jue knew if he didn’t respond, she would keep staring until the end, hence he replied in impatience.
Nanny Zhao’s culinary skills were quite impressive. Her breakfast could certainly compare to what Rong Qingqing had the previous morning.
The pan-fried dumplings were crispy, delicious enough for Rong Qingqing to turn and say to Nanny Zhao, "Nanny Zhao, I want to have pan-fried dumplings again tomorrow, will you make them?"
Nanny Zhao was delighted that someone appreciated her cooking, "If Miss Qingqing wants to eat, I’ll make them for you."
"Nanny Zhao is so kind! Thank you, Nanny Zhao!" Rong Qingqing’s mood for the day was lifted by breakfast, "By the way, I need to go out for a bit later."
"Let Seventh Uncle take you, or you can ask the butler for car keys, either way," Guo Lan replied.
Rong Qingqing thought for a moment and chose to let Seventh Uncle take her.
She wanted to buy a car and planned to check out Rong Qingqing’s apartment.
Guo Lan instructed Nanny Zhao to inform Seventh Uncle, and then brought up something she intended to discuss with Rong Qingqing from the previous day.
"Qingqing, the wardrobe in your current room is quite small and can’t hold too much stuff. Would you consider moving to the room next to Qiaoqiao? The wardrobe design in Qiaoqiao’s room is larger." Afraid Rong Qingqing might overthink, Guo Lan quickly explained, "I’m just asking your opinion, whether you move or not is entirely up to you."
Upon hearing this, Shen Qiao quickly refused, "I don’t want to live on the same floor with her. Rong Qingqing is the most troublesome person!"
However, after saying that, Shen Qiao realized if Rong Qingqing didn’t bother her, she’d bother her brother. So Shen Qiao thought it would be better if Rong Qingqing bothered her instead of her brother, and quickly changed her tune, "Let Sister Qingqing live next to me. We’re both girls, it’s more convenient."
Now it was Rong Qingqing’s turn to refuse.
"I’m fine with my current room. I don’t have much stuff, no need to move. Living next to Shen Jue doesn’t feel inconvenient at all." Rong Qingqing smiled and turned to look at Shen Jue, "After all, I’m his fiancée now."
The last sentence made the words about a single man and woman stuck in Shen Qiao’s throat, her expression turning as unpleasant as if she had eaten something foul.
"Hmph!" Shen Qiao grumbled, "Probably convenient for you to bully my brother!"
Rong Qingqing felt a pang of guilt.
That was indeed true.
