CHAPTER 400: CHAPTER 398: WHEN THE AMOUNT IS TOO LARGE, IT DOESN’T MATTER ANYMORE_1
July 20th, early morning.
As the time arrived, a security guard with a physique like a bodybuilding champion pressed the remote for the sliding gate.
With a CLATTER, the school gates began to retract, and the students waiting outside slowly entered the campus, resembling a flock of sheep herded into a pen by sheepdogs.
There stood Furusawa Kyoichiro, a Discipline Committee armband on his right arm, his commitment to upholding school rules undiminished by the ongoing exams.
His gaze was sharp, always scanning each student for any violations of school regulations so that he could correct them.
Most students were obedient, but a very few displayed a brazenly defiant attitude, like dead pigs unafraid of boiling water.
For instance, the four Hot Girls from his class.
"Hey! Stop right there! I’ve told you many times: students are not to dye their hair, get piercings, or wear earrings and such! And your skirts must cover your knees!"
"You say this every day, Kyoichiro. You haven’t fallen for me, have you?"
Tama Chan lifted her tea-colored, shoulder-length wavy hair and raised her shampoo-scented fingertips to Furusawa Kyoichiro’s chin, stroking it gently.
Such tactics, treating boys as if they were puppies to be tamed, never worked on Furusawa Kyoichiro.
"What a joke. Do you think you’re still in elementary school?"
Furusawa Kyoichiro immediately swatted Tama Chan’s hand away and said loudly, "All of you must dye your hair back to black during the summer break! Take off your earrings, and for the next semester, your skirts better be at the regulation length!"
"If you want them pulled down so badly, do it yourself."
Tama Chan blinked, a teasing smile on her face.
Furusawa Kyoichiro didn’t have the guts to touch her.
"Haha."
Ayatsuki Ayaka smiled and said, "Don’t be so rigid. Always bringing up these annoying things just ruins the mood."
"Annoying is the point. If you don’t change, I’ll nag you every day."
"Too bad. A Hot Girl doesn’t stop pursuing fashion just because of a little scolding."
Ayatsuki Ayaka responded, grabbing her school bag and heading towards the classroom building.
Furusawa Kyoichiro adjusted his glasses and didn’t forcefully stop the four from entering. He believed his persistence would eventually lead them to change their ways.
The best example was Aozawa, who had finally mended his ways after a year and a half of Furusawa’s persuasion.
He watched Aozawa step onto campus, school bag in hand. A satisfied expression on his face, Furusawa said, "Aozawa, you’ve finally realized that sprinting into school isn’t good."
Aozawa paused, turning his head to see the touched look on the Discipline Committee member’s face. He scratched his head and, without objecting, said, "Yeah."
The truth was, with his current physical fitness, the distance from his home to school was too short to be considered proper exercise. It was no different from a stroll. If he wanted a real workout, he had to sprint at full speed. The problem was his current strength. Even if he didn’t collide with anyone, the wind he generated when running at full speed could affect other people’s walking. It also looked quite frightening. After much consideration, he had to give up the idea of running and focus his training on technique. His strength would have to be trained in secret. It was simply that he was too physically powerful.
"Keep it up, stay consistent!"
"Hi."
Aozawa waved casually.
...
After finishing his daily Sword Dao training, Aozawa left the changing room.
Ayatsuki Ayaka ran up to him and blinked. "Aozawa, have you gotten stronger recently? I feel like the sound of your sword swings goes WHOOSH-WHOOSH now, much louder than before."
"Yeah, through my relentless training, my strength is gradually increasing," Aozawa replied, taking the thermos from her hand. He smiled, "Iroha, you could probably use my outstretched arm as a pull-up bar now."
"Really?"
Ayatsuki Ayaka was curious.
Aozawa stretched out his left arm. "You can try."
She reached out and grabbed Aozawa’s arm, which felt less like a human arm and more like a statue’s arm cast from molten steel.
She tried to bend her legs and hook them up.
Her entire body actually hung in the air.
"That’s amazing!"
"It’s nothing much."
Aozawa continued to walk forward, his expression calm.
Now he had the physical foundation to implement the class president’s brilliant plan.
When Ayatsuki Ayaka reached the door, she let go and landed on the ground, her eyes shining brightly. "That’s amazing, Aozawa! How did you get so strong?"
"Remember, Iroha, as long as you keep training, muscles will never betray you," Aozawa replied without changing his expression.
Ayatsuki Ayaka didn’t quite understand the specifics, but she still thought what Aozawa said was impressive.
She nodded and, with a smile, switched to another important topic. "Do you want to go to Tokyo Disneyland this afternoon?"
"If you’re going, I’ll go," Aozawa replied with a smile.
Ayatsuki Ayaka also smiled. "Then after we get into Disneyland, let’s split up from the others! We absolutely have to ride the roller coaster!"
At the mention of "roller coaster," her face flushed visibly, as if delicious strawberry jam had been smeared on her cheeks.
Aozawa couldn’t help but take a playful bite. "Sure, no problem."
Nibbling on Iroha’s cheek made his voice sound a bit muffled.
Ayatsuki Ayaka gave him a light pat on the shoulder, pouting. "Aozawa, don’t surprise me like that."
"Sorry, Iroha, you’re just too cute. I couldn’t resist wanting a taste."
"What do you mean, ’a taste’? You’re so H."
Ayatsuki Ayaka gave his shoulder a light pat, her heart pounding like a frightened deer, realizing who the *truly* H one was.
Aozawa smiled and continued chatting with her all the way to the classroom building, where they parted at the classroom door.
Peter had returned.
The back of the classroom became lively again, especially since he planned to take everyone to Tokyo Disneyland in the afternoon. The group discussed it enthusiastically.
Aozawa walked to his seat, pulled out his chair, and sat down. "Everyone’s pretty excited."
"Summer vacation is about to start, who wouldn’t be excited?" Phoenix Academy Maggie replied casually, then turned to him with her arms crossed. "Aozawa, have you heard about what’s happening on the coast of Wales, UK? They say a monstrous creature from another world appeared there. It was colossal, and it’s scared all the major powers into action."
"Oh, is that so."
Aozawa hadn’t expected that the Second-stage Terror Emperor he’d casually conjured would cause such a stir. He pondered for a moment. Given the Second-stage Terror Emperor’s height and ferocious appearance, even a few seconds would be enough to attract serious international attention.
Phoenix Academy Maggie squinted. "Do you believe that giant creatures over a thousand meters tall exist in this world?"
"Of course not," Aozawa shrugged.
Phoenix Academy Maggie raised her hand and punched his shoulder, clearly annoyed. "My mother has decided to invest fifty billion Yen in the Noah’s Ark project. The combined government budget for this project is astronomical, reportedly trillions of US dollars."
"That’s really shocking."
Aozawa said this, but his expression remained calm. It wasn’t because he had seen through the nature of money, but rather because he couldn’t truly fathom the concept of trillions of US dollars. Numbers beyond his imagination were, in his mind, just a one followed by a long string of zeros. And if they’re all zeros, what difference does a few more or less make?
Phoenix Academy Maggie, seeing his nonchalant reaction, became even more irritated and punched him a couple more times.
...
From an outsider’s perspective, the two of them seemed to be flirting.
Tama Chan withdrew her gaze and said with a smile, "So early in the morning, and you two are already acting so sweet."
Ayatsuki Ayaka retorted, "What’s so sweet about that? Aozawa just kissed my cheek. *That* was sweet."
"Oh, really? Let me see, where’s the sweetness?" Takahashi Saeko’s hands moved as if to zoom in on her face, searching for a lip print.
Ayatsuki Ayaka slapped her hand away, annoyed. "My face isn’t a picture; you can’t double-tap to zoom in."
"Hehe." Takahashi Saeko chuckled, not teasing her further. She said seriously, "Did you remember the skills I taught you?"
"Eh, did you teach her a new technique?" Miyahara Kaoru looked surprised. Turning to Ayatsuki Ayaka, she asked, "Iroha, what else did you learn?"
"No, no, nothing!" Ayatsuki Ayaka hurriedly shook her head, trying to gloss over the topic.
But this ’nothing to see here’ attitude, a classic case of protesting too much, only piqued Tama Chan’s and Miyahara Kaoru’s curiosity even more.
"That expression doesn’t look like ’nothing.’" Tama Chan stroked her chin, guessing, "Don’t tell me Saeko was teaching you bedroom techniques?"
"Definitely not!" Ayatsuki Ayaka denied quickly, glaring at her.
Tama Chan also thought her guess was a bit far-fetched. Given Iroha’s innocence, she probably wouldn’t jump to that level.
"Is it oral skills?" She opened her mouth wide, her tongue darting agilely. Then she quickly closed it, dismissing the idea. "That can’t be it either. For that, she should be consulting me. Oh, I get it!"
Ayatsuki Ayaka’s cheeks turned even redder. She slapped Tama Chan’s hand. "Maru, don’t be so vulgar!"
"’Says the one learning hand techniques, and you have the nerve to call me crude,’" Tama Chan retorted, having a good idea of what Iroha had been learning from Takahashi Saeko. In terms of oral skills, she considered herself unmatched. However, when it came to hand skills, Takahashi Saeko was undoubtedly exceptionally deft. "So you’re actually learning *that*, huh? Tsk tsk, Iroha, you’re making progress. I’m impressed."
"I didn’t learn it voluntarily! Saeko said I needed something new and exciting to make a deeper impression on Aozawa." The softer Ayatsuki Ayaka spoke, the more her voice trailed off, and the blush spread from her cheeks to her earlobes.
She looks so adorable! Tama Chan thought, sighing inwardly. She resisted the urge to tease her further and asked, "So, which ride at Tokyo Disneyland are you planning to try it on?"
"Maru, don’t say it so loud!" Ayatsuki Ayaka jumped, looking around nervously, afraid their classmates might overhear.
Luckily, everyone was busy chatting and didn’t pay much attention to their conversation. She let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Takahashi Saeko smiled mischievously. "In Space Mountain. It’s pitch black, perfect for making your move."
"Oh, Saeko, good choice! I had some fun with someone in Space Mountain too; it was over in a minute." Tama Chan said, a hint of nostalgia in her voice as she reminisced about her own Space Mountain experience. "Indeed, doing that kind of thing in such a public place really leaves a lasting impression. Iroha, let me test out your hand skills!"
"Maru, stop teasing me!" Ayatsuki Ayaka retorted, her cheeks puffed out, which made her three friends laugh.
