Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now
Chapter 1271
?Chapter 1271:
“This isn’t bad at all,” Hadley said as she walked through the rooms, nodding with approval.
“It is,” Elissa replied, arranging some of her things. “There’s a supermarket just down the road, and the subway’s close enough to get around easily. It makesmuting and visiting the Flynns really convenient.”
“Sounds like a good setup,” Hadley added, helping her arrange a few things around the living room.
Then she asked, “Any progress with the divorce?”
The question made Elissa’s expression tighten. “Robin’s been away. I’ll have to wait until he’s back in town.”
“He hasn’t signed yet?” Hadley’s eyes widened as she tried to mentally track the time. “It’s been a while. Is he avoiding it on purpose?”
Elissa let out a dryugh. “Whatever he wants doesn’t matter. When he gets back, if he tries to drag it out again, I’ll settle it through the courts.”
“As long as you’re sure about what you want. If you’ve made up your mind, there’s no reason it can’t be finalized.”
“I’m sure.”
Early in the morning, Elvin came to pick up Hadley for themercial shoot.
Since she hadn’t hired an assistant yet, Elvin, who also served as her manager, had to oversee everything himself.
However, because Elvin was also working as an assistant director on another production, he couldn’t remain on-site. After dropping her off and coordinating with both the brand team and the photographer, he had to leave.
“Hadley, I have to go. I’ve arranged everything. If there’s anything, just call me,” Elvin said.
Hadley smiled and nodded. “Got it. Don’t worry.”
Elvin let out a quiet sigh. “I should have found you an assistant already. That one’s on me.”
He hadn’t expected her to book an endorsement deal this quickly and was realizing that he couldn’t juggle all the work alone.

Hadley hadn’t expected things to move so fast either, but she didn’t think she needed extra help yet. “It’s not urgent.”
“How can you say that?” Elvinughed, shaking his head. “You’ll need a makeup artist, a stylist, and an assistant before long. I’ll keep looking for the right people, but if you know someone who could work out, let me know.”
“Sure, I will.”
“Okay then, I’m off.”
“Drive safe.”
Just then, a crew member walked up. “Miss Pearson, pleasee this way. We’ll start with wardrobe.”
“Alright,” Hadley answered, following them without dy.
The team reminded her to stay on pace, and she kept up with the schedule.
After she changed into the first outfit, the photographer and brand representatives exchanged satisfied looks.
“Miss Pearson, let’s review today’s n.”
“No problem.”
After wrapping themercial scenes, they took a short break. Later that day, they still needed toplete the billboard photos.
