?Chapter 1276:

Eric returned a faint nod, his demeanor cool and detached.

Upon turning to Hadley, the crew member’s tone softened with concern. “What happened? Your makeup… it’s going to need a touch-up.”

“Right…” Hadley replied, her voice trailing off as she cast a worried nce at A.

“I’m fine, really,” A reassured her with a rueful smile. “Go on. I can handle myself.”

With the crew member gently pressing her to move along, Hadley relented. “Call me if you need anything, okay?”

“Will do. Don’t fret,” A said, waving her off.

The crew member shed a polite smile at Eric. “Mr. Scott, please, excuse us.”

Hadley followed the crew member, leaving the scene behind as the air grew still, with only Eric and A remaining.

“Mr. Scott,” A said, biting her lip as she gingerly lifted her arm. “I’ll head out now.”

“Alright,” Eric replied, his gaze settling on her for a moment. “Wait. You and Hadley… are you close?”

“Hm?” A blinked, caught off guard, but then broke into a warm smile. “Yes, we coborated on a project once. We hit it off, and I really like her.”

“I see,” Eric said, nodding thoughtfully. “Thank you for stepping in to protect her earlier.”

Had it not been for A’s quick action, Hadley might have been the one nursing bruises.

“No trouble at all,” A said, shaking her head with a grin.

Eric paused, considering his next words. “You’re with East Entertainment Media, right? What’s on your te these days?”

“Not much,” A admitted with a light shrug. “Just wrapped up a small cameo role.”

“Got it,” Eric said, his tone measured. “What if I arranged for you to join Hadley’s current project? Would you be interested?”

A froze, her eyes widening at the unexpected offer.

A golden opportunity had justnded in herp.

“Absolutely!” she eximed, nodding vigorously. “Thank you, Mr. Scott!”

“Don’t mention it,” Eric replied, his voice calm but firm as he grew serious. “But I have one condition. I need you to look out for Hadley. If something like today’s incident urs again, I expect you to shield her as you did just now. Can you do that?”

“I would have absolutely loved to.”

A gave an enthusiastic nod, her face brightening with genuine excitement. “Being on set with Hadley was something I truly enjoyed and valued…”

She paused for a moment, her expression lighting up even more as if something pleasant had crossed her mind.

“Mr. Scott, you can be sure that I made sure Hadley was well taken care of while we worked together.”

    “Alright.”

Eric nodded in acknowledgment, a quiet but approving smile forming on his face.

He then said, “Hadley tends to keep things to herself and wouldn’t tell me if something was bothering her. Since you are friends, if anything happens, I hope you’ll let me know.”

It almost seemed as though he had intentionally relied on A to be his eyes and ears where Hadley was concerned.
