"Of course he can!" Amanda declared confidently, "If he dares to abandon me for a sister-in-law, I’ll sever our familial ties!"

After saying this, Amanda habitually glanced around, then exhaled.

Aurelia, seeing her being so cautious, asked puzzled, "What are you looking at?"

Amanda complained, "I accidentally told my brother those exact words the other day. He immediately bought a ticket to fly back. If he heard me say that, he’d definitely scold me again."

"Having a brother who loves you so much, you should feel happy. If I hear you keep talking like this, I’ll start suspecting you’re deliberately ’showing off your affection,’" Aurelia teased.
