As Uncle Zhou spoke, he walked out. At the door, he glanced back and saw Nanny Rong pouring something into the tea; if he remembered correctly, it was—chili pepper.

Uncle Zhou shivered and hurriedly left.

Nanny Rong brought the tea to the table, "Young Madam is upstairs. I'll go inform her you're here. Please have some tea first."

"Young Madam, Second Miss Shaw is here." Nanny Rong knocked on the door and pushed it open, not directly referring to Jovana Shaw as Aurelia's sister, as she heard about past events from Uncle Zhou.

Aurelia Shaw looked up, "What's she here for?"

"Said she brought some soup for Mr. Nightshade."

Aurelia almost burst out laughing. Jovana hadn't come for several days, she thought she had suddenly wised up, but who would have thought she was still a fool. How was she played around by her in a past life?

Aurelia put the book aside, stood up, "Let's go down and have a look, just as I'm a bit hungry too."

Nanny Rong was worried Aurelia would be kind-hearted and unable to see through Jovana's intentions. Seeing her reaction like this, she felt at ease.

Jovana fanned her mouth, jumping up and down from the spiciness.

Seeing Aurelia coming over, and then noticing Nanny Rong behind her, something dawned on her. Her expression changed suddenly, losing all her previous innocent and cute appearance. Aurelia smiled indifferently, not taking her seriously at all, "Accusing me of scheming against you, do you have any evidence? Don't just rely on this spilled cup of water. My servant kindly poured you some water, you didn't drink it and spilled it instead. I bought this set of cups for a million at the auction. Now you've broken one, I can't use the entire set anymore. I haven't even asked you to compensate for my cup, and you're accusing my servant of plotting against you."

Aurelia snorted coldly.

This is her home, what she says goes, did Jovana really think she was a young lady who could throw her weight around wherever she went?

She ought to consider the occasion before acting like a spoiled young lady.

Not to mention that all the servants in this house have been replaced, who knows who they'd side with, and those who know the rules wouldn't think of siding with an outsider like her.

Hugging the soup she claimed to bring for Mason Nightshade, sitting in the living room waiting, was she afraid no one would know she's a seductress?
