Mason Nightshade exhaled deeply.

He wasn't sure whether he should feel fortunate or otherwise.

"Luckily, you don't remember."

He murmured softly, gazing at her peacefully sleeping face. As his own drowsiness crept in, he wrapped her, blankets and all, in his arms, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

At five o'clock, he woke up, worried about waking Aurelia, he tiptoed out of bed, glanced at her once, and turned to leave the room.

Mrs. Rong saw Mason Nightshade coming out of Aurelia's room and was momentarily surprised, then called out, "Young Master."

Mason nodded, instructing Mrs. Rong, "Her stomach isn't well. Make her some porridge when she wakes up, there's no need to make breakfast for me, I won't be having breakfast at home today."

"Yes." Mrs. Rong watched Mason descend the stairs, his figure appearing somewhat heavy and weary, and she sighed inwardly.

Young Master spent another night in the Young Madam's room?

Leaving at this time every day, afraid the Young Madam would find out. He came home after two in the morning, and by five he's off to work again, not even stopping for breakfast. A body of iron can't endure this forever.

Mrs. Rong glanced again at the bedroom door, sighed softly, wondering when the two of them would reconcile.

When Aurelia woke up in the morning, she smelled a hint of alcohol in the room. Although the scent was faint and easily overlooked by most, she still noticed it.

"Did anyone come into my room last night?" Aurelia asked.

Seeing she couldn't hide it from Aurelia, Mrs. Rong answered honestly, "The Young Master came back last night and went into your room."

As for staying in the room the whole night, Mrs. Rong didn't mention it; her instinct told her the Young Master didn't want the Young Madam to know. With their relationship on edge, she didn't want her loose words to worsen their situation.

"He came back?" Aurelia raised a brow, a flicker of surprise passed over her, "Where is he now?"

"The Young Master went to the company," Mrs. Rong said, "He instructed me to make porridge for you before he left, saying your stomach isn't well."

"He didn't eat?" Aurelia asked casually, walking downstairs as the aroma of porridge wafted toward her. She was indeed a bit hungry.

Mrs. Rong served her a bowl of porridge and answered her previous question, "The Young Master didn't eat. He returned after two in the morning, went to the company early this morning. I wonder if there are so many things at the company that he doesn't even have time to eat. Who knows if he'll have time to eat at noon."

Aurelia didn't speak, her eyes lowered as she quietly drank her porridge.

Seeing the Young Madam silent, Mrs. Rong also refrained from saying more.

But.

Watching them remain at such an impasse, she couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

"What time is it now?" Aurelia suddenly asked.

Mrs. Rong glanced at the clock on the wall and replied, "It's almost half past eight. Young Madam, do you have any plans later?"

Aurelia smiled profoundly, "It's almost nine, bring me my phone."

Mrs. Rong brought her Aurelia's phone and suddenly remembered something, "By the way, the Old Master called earlier, he asked you to call him back when you woke up."

Aurelia saw no messages on her phone, and upon hearing Mrs. Rong's words, she looked up, a bit surprised, "A call from Grandfather Nightshade?"

She returned a call to Kai Nightshade, and after just two rings, the call was answered, a hoarse authoritative voice sounded on the other end, "Aurelia?"

"Grandfather," Aurelia said softly.

"It's been a long time since you called me. Did you forget your grandfather after getting married?" Kai Nightshade's teasing voice came from the other end.
