Chapter 383 Slapping the Face of the Stepsister 2
CHAPTER 383: CHAPTER 383 SLAPPING THE FACE OF THE STEPSISTER 2
She had lost her only bargaining chip, this son, and it was impossible for him to think of her anymore... No, Sophie Nye didn’t believe this fact. Mason Nightshade was born after ten months in her womb. Even if she hadn’t taken care of him a day in her life, the bond of mother and son still existed, and he still had affection for her.
Thinking of this, Sophie Nye breathed a sigh of relief, smiling as she looked towards Mason Nightshade. The latter’s eyes did not stop on her but instead gently asked Aurelia Shaw, "Are you full yet?" His eyes seemed to see only Aurelia.
"Yes."
"What’s the plan after this?"
"I need to go buy a gown," Aurelia replied flatly.
"I’ll go with you."
Aurelia neither agreed nor refused, and Mason took her silence as consent, his lips involuntarily curving upward as he followed behind her.
Sophie Ney watched the two of them leave, one after the other, waves of anger surging inside her. Their disregard for her was more painful than Mason’s earlier indifferent gaze. This feeling reminded her of the cold and indifferent look Godwin Nightshade had given her when he was alive.
Father and son are exactly the same!
Having been ignored by her husband for most of her life, was she now to be ignored by her son as well? Why must she suffer this!
——
Aurelia Shaw arrived at the large mall, skillfully making her way to the gown section, with her shadow closely following behind her.
"Miss Shaw, are you selecting a gown?" The saleswoman enthusiastically came over to introduce herself. This place was often frequented by big stars, so seeing Aurelia Shaw didn’t surprise her, although she was a fan of hers. Seeing her in person, she thought she was incredibly beautiful.
Noticing the "large popsicle" standing behind Aurelia, the saleswoman wiped away some cold sweat, feeling pressure, thinking how much colder Mason Nightshade seemed in person than online.
She eagerly showed Aurelia several gowns.
Aurelia scanned through them, glanced at herself in the mirror, and chose a gown suitable for a charity ball, then stepped into the changing room.
A few minutes later.
She walked out.
The woman’s silhouette was graceful, her off-shoulder khaki long gown accentuating her exquisite curves, her neck was fair and graceful, and the sparkling rhinestones on the dress shimmered like stars under the lights. Her cascading hair flowed behind her like a Queen’s majesty.
Only a crown was lacking.
Mason tried to contain his wildly beating heart, his gaze locking onto her with scorching intensity, not bothering to hide his thoughts or the strong emotional turmoil as he strode towards her.
The saleswoman adjusting Aurelia’s dress quickly tied up her hair. Noticing the man exuding a strong presence approaching, her hand shook, causing a few strands of hair to fall loose, and she hastily moved to the side.
Mason stood behind Aurelia, his tall, straight figure in a neat black suit exuding a noble, aloof aura. In the mirror, the two stood one in front of the other, with his gaze on her reflection, as soft as if water could drip from them.
"Husband, look, are they trying on wedding gowns? They look so perfect together! Let’s come to this shop to choose wedding gowns for our wedding, okay?" a passing young couple remarked.
The saleswoman quietly put away her secretly taken phone, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and thought, this is clearly a gown store, not a bridal shop! But... they really do look so well-matched! No wonder people would misunderstand.
Aurelia’s face flashed with discomfort but she forcibly maintained a calm demeanor, raising an eyebrow to look at the man behind her, who responded with a doting smile.
"I’ll take this one," she said, just as she was about to change, a woman’s voice with a British accent suddenly exclaimed, "Oh, this dress is so beautiful, I want this one!"
Aurelia’s corner of the eye lifted, her gaze turning to a woman with blue eyes and deep features.
