Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 428: I Didn't Intentionally Let the Young Master In
Mason Nightshade gripped the steering wheel tightly, foot on the accelerator, soon arriving at Cloud Pavilion Garden.
Getting out of the car, he saw the lights on the eighth floor, and his heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down, giving him a sense of stability. Since when did he, unable to see her, have his heart inexplicably race, fearing she might suddenly disappear again, to a place where he couldn't find or see or hear her?
Only by seeing her with his own eyes, going to where she exists, can he truly feel she's still by his side, and no longer would he be unable to find her, allowing his suffocating chest to take a breath.
Mason Nightshade went upstairs, taking the elevator to the eighth floor.
He pressed the doorbell.
-
Aurelia Shaw was dozing off on the sofa, the sound of the television blaring. She hugged a pillow, resting it on her belly, turning to lean on it, her brows lightly furrowed from pain, too sleepy to open her eyes.
Hearing the doorbell, she simply turned over and continued sleeping.
Ursa Miller came out of the room and went to open the door.
Seeing Mason Nightshade outside, Ursa was startled, instinctively looking towards Aurelia Shaw lying on the sofa.
Mason Nightshade brushed past her shoulder, already seeing her on the sofa, his brows furrowing heavily as he stepped inside, noticing she was only wearing a thin nightgown as she lay there. Anger rose in his heart as he took off his coat and draped it over her.
His eyes turned to Ursa in reprimand.
"How can you let her sleep here?"
"..." Ursa, feeling utterly innocent, noted that the Young Madam had clearly not been sleeping earlier. She had just returned to her room to tidy up, and the Young Madam fell asleep. Before she had the chance to cover the Young Madam with something, you, Young Master, arrived.
Mason Nightshade picked her up, striding into the bedroom.
In a daze, Aurelia Shaw opened her eyes and saw him, still thinking she was dreaming.
Mason Nightshade's eyes reflected softness, "If you're sleepy, keep sleeping. Don't sleep on the sofa during special times in the future. The weather is cold now; don't turn on the air conditioning either. Today, sleep under a quilt - I'll find you a lighter one, hmm?"
"Mason Nightshade?" Aurelia Shaw came to her senses, "Why are you here?"
She turned to look at Ursa Miller, the meaning in her eyes clear: You opened the door for him?
Little innocent Ursa truly felt she was innocent.
She didn't know she couldn't open the door either, boohoo, the thoughts of Young Master and Young Madam are so hard to guess.
Mason Nightshade placed Aurelia Shaw on the bed, "Do you have a heating pad or something?"
"No!" Aurelia Shaw frowned, displeased at his uninvited visit.
In response, Mason Nightshade rose, searched everywhere, found a hot water bottle, boiled some water, filled it, and placed it on her belly.
"Keep it there for a while. I'll make you a cup of brown sugar water, and after you drink it, you can sleep."
After speaking, Mason Nightshade turned and went out, finding brown sugar in the kitchen and brewing it with hot water.
Ursa Miller watched beside him, fearful and amazed. Although she had long known that the Young Master was a different person in front of the Young Madam compared to others, it was the first time she saw Young Master personally take care of someone. How envious she was of the Young Madam.
Mason Nightshade returned with the brown sugar water and handed it to Aurelia Shaw, "Drink it first."
Aurelia Shaw sat up and took the cup. The temperature was just perfect, a bit warm but not cold, allowing her to drink it immediately. She held the cup, blew on the steam, and drank it all.
Mason Nightshade naturally took the empty cup from her hands.
"Lie down and rest," Mason Nightshade said in a commanding voice.
Aurelia Shaw complied, her body weak and powerless from pain, too lazy to argue with him. She had initially wanted the two of them to be distant for a while, but looking at Mason Nightshade's demeanor, it seemed they wouldn't be able to distance themselves so quickly.
