The man sat behind the computer, his posture relaxed, a faint smile playing at his lips. The light cast him in a golden glow, attracting any woman who saw him.

This was a demon.

Aurelia Shaw silently chanted in her heart.

Mason Nightshade noticed the bloodshot eyes, his brow furrowed, "Who made you angry again?"

"In this family, there are only a few people who can anger me and dare to do so," Aurelia chuckled.

Mason glanced at the photo in her hand. He knew the woman in the picture and had some guesses, "Clara Philips is courting death again?" His tone was displeased.

For someone to provoke to the point of losing control, it must be Clara Philips who meddled with these photos.

Ha, they really are a mother-daughter pair.

"Do you need me to come over?"

"Why would you come over?" Aurelia raised her eyebrows, "In what capacity? Don't forget we're already divorced."

She found it puzzling how this man always seemed to forget they were divorced.

Mason's expression darkened, "Even if we're divorced, can't an ex-son-in-law visit his former father-in-law?"

Aurelia's smile grew bolder, "Since when did my dad and you become so close? Every time he sees you, he's always trembling in fear."

Speaking of which, Aurelia squinted her eyes, "Mason, what exactly happened between you and my dad before?"

She observed a fleeting expression on Mason's face, quickly concealed by his handsome yet indifferent facade, "What could have happened? In business, it's common to encounter fears when one isn't as capable."

Aurelia narrowed her eyes.

Then she chuckled softly, "Have you forgotten how you lost to me a few days ago? From what I know, the Nightshade Corporation hasn't bounced back yet, right? Has the guy who embezzled and fled been caught? Even if he has been, he must've squandered all the money by now."

Everything she said hit the mark.

Sometimes he really thought, her little brain was surprisingly smart.

In the past, she probably hadn't experienced much of the treacherous human nature, which made her overly trusting and led to her misfortune. After going through all that, she no longer believed anything, and no one could overshadow her brilliance.

"How did you get onto that guy?" Mason suddenly showed some interest, actually wondering when she started plotting this, or rather... when she was reborn.

Aurelia narrowed her eyes, aware that Mason was deliberately trying to get something out of her.

"I'd been watching for a long time, but if you'd agreed to the divorce obediently, I wouldn't have had to go this far."

Staring at her beautiful face, Mason's heart skipped a beat, and his lips involuntarily curved into a smile.

Then, in the background of the video call, Aurelia heard Grayson Quinn's furious voice:

"Listen to what she's saying! Clearly no sign of reflection at all. Why do you insist on sticking to her? There are so many beauties in the world, just by curling your finger, any kind of woman will come to you."

"If the brothers from the squad find out, they surely won't accept that their leader forgives a betrayal he despises."

Aurelia raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Any kind of woman will come to you?"

Mason's heart skipped a beat, his face changed slightly, "Don't listen to Grayson talking nonsense, I couldn't possibly..." Halfway through his sentence, the video call ended abruptly.
