Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing
Chapter 102: My master.
CHAPTER 102: MY MASTER.
In City 12, KiRA and Izzy were going to stay with the captain for a while and learn more about the system and everything the other players were learning.
They were going to see if there was something different about this tower that the natives knew but the players from the game weren’t aware of.
He will also test out a few things now that he is in the city so KiRA and Izzy are going to be busy for the time being.
On the other hand, in City 30, Ziggy was now facing the captain of the city that even the high-ranking officers rarely see.
She sat in her office by herself, the spacious cozy office giving her a highlighted presence.
There were many papers and books on her desk right now, most were reports of this city as well as the other cities while the others were books about different creatures found on this floor.
She was working... but even as she did, Ziggy couldn’t help remembering the time they had spent together in the past.
"You can sit down, Mister. You don’t have to keep standing like that." Her voice was feminine, but the aura in that voice was nothing less than the aura of his father’s superiors.
Her soft orange hair waved in the midday breeze with an attractive gentleness. Her slender fingers continued writing on the page with the quill while her deep reddish eyes fixed on her work.
The room was filled with the scent of old books and the few flowers that were present there, but when he sat before her, her natural fragrance was the only thing he could focus on.
"Just wait a minute. I’m almost done with this."
"Yes..."
She wasn’t looking up while talking to him so he just continued looking around as well.
He observed the familiar office, and he saw the sheathed sword resting on the other side of the room. His eyes wandered the half-open closet, but they didn’t stay there.
He looked around, saw how this place looked, saw how it was different from what he had known, and when he was doing so, the Lady before him finished her work.
"You’re a curious one, aren’t you?" Looking up at him for the first time with her reddish eyes filled with no hint of emotions, she tidied up her paperwork and placed it aside.
Then, seeing Ziggy sitting down properly, she looked at him with another curious look.
"I’ve been wondering ever since you people started appearing, but it seems like it certainly is the case." She accepted with a nod. "It seems like you outsiders do come from a world that has somehow gone through This already."
From her observations of the players that had appeared in this city until now, she was able to figure out some of them already knew about them.
She knew how some were already aware of how things worked here while some were clueless about how even the system worked, much less their society.
Some of them were used to their culture but seeing a city where the average age of marriage is at 18 years was a culture shock for the rest.
There were different kinds of players– those who knew things, those who knew more things, those who were clueless, those who were strong despite being clueless, and then there were those who knew things and were strong as well.
"You, especially, stand out among the rest of them."
Her eyes pierced through the very being of Ziggy as they analyzed everything about him possible.
Her insight, instincts, and intuition were unmatched in this city. In fact, there were few like her in this entire tower.
"It’s not surprising that you beat up that useless kid. I will deal with his father so don’t worry about them.
However, right after dealing with them, instead of being worried, you continued with your training as if you knew I was going to call for you." She found these actions especially peculiar.
No normal player or native could look away from her once they were in their presence, but he was strangely comfortable around her.
He was looking around this place as if it was familiar to him as well, so her curiosity was piqued even more.
"Zyon Flamecore, is it?" She already went through everything that was available to him, his files, and his reports.
Seeing him directly also gave her a good idea of what kind of person he was, as well as just how strong he was.
"Yes, Ma’am." His response to her was also unexpectedly polite, something that made her even more curious about her.
She had figured out the players had lived a Scenario similar to this one before as well. She was aware that every player had lived a different life here than the rest.
She was curious about these outsiders, but with Zyon, there was more than simple curiosity.
"Hmmm. Zyon... fine. Then tell me, Zyon. Tell me truthfully... just, what kind of relationship did we have?"
What was the reason he purposefully got into the fight with that arrogant vice-captain, why he was looking at her the way he did, why he was so respectful towards her, to his strengths?
He was clearly different from the rest of the players. In those blue eyes, there was something she had not seen... a kind of affection that an outsider like him should not have.
"Captain Rose..." He looked at her with a look that had expected her to figure things out on her own already.
A look that was followed by the warmest smile any living being had given her.
"You were my master." He answered her truthfully and bowed his head.
"We were... close. However-." Ziggy wanted to explain to her how he knew he would only burden her with more of his side of the story.
"I know you’re concerned about me, how you know about my curse, and how you’re being careful... but, Zyon Flamecore." She was now looking at him with a serious gaze.
"I must know everything there was to us. As well as the End that you know of."
She would force him if he wasn’t willing to tell.
A student... it was so ridiculous to her that she just couldn’t accept it unless she knew everything there was to know.
And even after that, she did not know whether the same would happen again.
She... just wasn’t capable of something like that anymore.
A physical relationship would have been much better but this? Not this... not a student. Not anymore.
