CHAPTER 119: THE GUILD BASE

Lia and Logan helped Izzy handle the items while the rest of them handled the customers.

The entire group was stunned to see crates full of potions, especially the variety of the potions that they had on them.

There were so many items in this small shop that they had never even thought they would see something like that outside of the tower.

"Huu..."

"Finally we’re done."

With the help of the party, Izzy was soon done with the sales for the day. There were a lot more people today so it seems like the word about this ’secret’ place was spreading already.

The people that were here to buy the items and consumables weren’t exactly the reguler neighbors but representatives of different guilds and parties that had heard about them in passing.

They only sold these items on a random day of the week. The announcement was made on a general forum and the ones that came first got the goods.

There was no limit to how much one could purchase, but the rule was simple: the more you get, the higher the prices.

There was nothing like an auction system here either. The price increase was already decided, so as long as the guild representatives possessed the money, they were given the goods.

There was always a battle for the goods among these guild representatives, but however much they tried, there was more than enough things here for most of them.

They just never really had the money to purchase the kind of amount they were going to require.

"Guildmaster... just what was that?" Lia was already tired after all that.

Those guild members were so troublesome to handle that she had to shout at most of them multiple times.

Thankfully, after Izzy decided that they wouldn’t sell anything to the one Lia doesn’t like, all of them started behaving.

"Just simple sales? Well, we are primarily a production guild so selling goods is a part of the job. Ah, if you’re talking about the items we have here, they aren’t our products. We have yet to start the production process."

Izzy tidied up the place and counted the profits right before them.

"Hmm... 542,133 IX is a good profit." Instead of using the system interface, they were using a dedicated item for money collection that the players might have seen in the tower’s different associations that managed money and resources.

Banks, different guilds for natives, associations for certain classes used these items resembling a Cash counter machine.

"Nice. We should be good for a few days now." Izzy nodded and simply chuckled at the stunned look of the group before finishing things here and handing all of them a glass of homemade potion.

"That one’s made by Ziggy and my mom. Hmm, you people know Ziggy, right?" Izzy led the group inside the house after that.

The group was confused why they were going inside the house when they should be going to where the inauguration was supposed to be held, but they simply followed their guildmaster.

For the time being, they had understood this place was pretty different from what they had expected.

"Come here and be careful. We’re still finishing the lift." When they were inside the house, in the innermost room of the ground floor, standing before an empty wall, Izzy placed her hand on the wall and channeled her Mana.

-Zaaaaaaa...

The group heard a strange sound of mechanical gears moving, something that surprised them even more.

-Tha!

Following that, the wall that they were seeing before them lifted up and vanished, revealing a metallic hollow place with light on three sides as well as a platform that resembled a modern elevator.

"I was right..." Lia gasped as soon as she saw this. It was merely a joke when she said they would have an underground secret base, but seeing her words become reality made her heart race faster.

"Lia, you were right." Even their captain could not help his surprise at what was happening here.

They were inside an elevator that was going down right now, with their guildmaster acting as if this was the most normal thing for her.

"You’re the last ones here so I can understand the surprise. You’ll get used to this though so don’t think too much about this.

Just enjoy what you’re about to see, hehe."

-Thaa.

When the lift stopped and the mechanical door opened, the world that appeared before them was exactly what they weren’t expecting.

"There’s only a few hours left, let’s go let’s go!"

"Moving left. Moving left. Watch out everyone."

"Did you see the plants in that lab up ahead? I heard the guildmaster’s mom grew them."

"I can’t wait, haha~. I wanna start working here as soon as possible~."

They knew about various underground bunkers that were made in old times to shelter people in case of emergencies.

The tower’s appearance was the kind of emergency that these underground bunkers were created for, however, this place wasn’t as simple as the ones these people might have seen in books and online.

The interior was modern with modern and futuristic glowing walls that seemed to be data processing units.

The entire place inside was illuminated well. The people here were either working, moving up large stuff, or were chatting leisurely.

Many of them seemed like common people that they believed to be their fellow guild members.

The players here were not wearing any gears, but the non player members that seemed to be in a uniform were all wearing different items that Captain Logan could tell apart instantly.

The Mana in this place was regulated, as he looked around, he could see different items that were channeling Mana as if they were air purifiers for Mana.

There were so many items around him that he could not believe they were in the same old neighborhood that they had seen when they came here.

The things present in this bunker divided into different sections with large paths and different artificial helpers around the place were not something they would see even in the A2P2 offices, much less in a normal guild’s base.

"We will get you an ID later. Let’s go in first. Mom and others had been wanting to see you for a while now." Izzy was delighted to see this reaction once again.

Today was their guild’s opening and they were going to start working soon as well.

They had already begun training a few lifestyle players a few days ago, but with the arrival of this last party, they now had everyone present in their base.

"Izzy, did you–, oh. You’re all here." KiRA came looking for Izzy from the front when he noticed the group that was walking behind her.

He was not in the professional, intimidating clothing that many people here had feared during their interview. He was wearing casual clothes that caught the eye of the group.

"Hello and welcome to Trailblaze once again~. We look forward to working with you all." KiRA greeted them with a welcoming smile that almost made Lia and the swordsman lady blush for a moment.

Something about him was different. He seemed... more attractive for some reason.

"Captain Logan, please look after your group while you’re here." His strange charm did not spare even the men in the group, they continued staring at him blankly.

His attractive face, those red eyes, that black shirt and pants that went perfectly with it gave him a simple yet charming look.

He wasn’t wearing any items like they were inside of the tower, so this drastic difference was baffling to the group.

"See? They’re like this as well! What the hell are you doing to the guild members, Kai?" Izzy was upset that he was going around charming everyone around the base.

His Desire stat was going out of control and he needed to control it better, but then again, she understood the workload might be affecting his focus.

Thankfully the stat value was pretty low right now. She did not want to see indecent scenes around this sacred guild base.

"I’ll see you all later. Oh, Izzy, make sure to visit Miss Moon in the north office. She needs help with a few things there."

"Sure thing~."

Only after he said his goodbye and left the place, did the group regain their senses.

They knew that was a strange experience, but knowing how unique that person was, they knew this much must have been another one of his special traits.

He had performed a complicated operation that saved their captain in the tower, an encounter like that was at least understandable.

It was still strange though. They couldn’t understand why they were having such thoughts about someone with a partner...

"Get out of the clouds, everyone. You might crash into a wall if you keep being dazed like that." Izzy could only shake her head at the bunch.

They were being funny right now, but then again, this wasn’t the first time something like this was happening today.

KiRA was to blame for many incidents that were happening around their base today. And when all of this is over, she was going to give him a proper Scolding.

"Let’s go. We don’t really have much time left." For now, Izzy continued guiding the group and the group, still surprised by everything around them, continued following their guildmaster.
