Tower's Richest Player: My Coins Won't Stop Increasing
Chapter 154: Departure to the next step
CHAPTER 154: DEPARTURE TO THE NEXT STEP
"This surely is a unique creature." His Aunt was interested in the creature’s functions as she tested it with all kinds of equipment she brought back from her lab.
"Are these feathers organic? What kind of matter is this one made of?" Izzy’s mom was already testing the different features of the creature.
She had taken samples of the white crow’s body with its permission and was testing it with the various devices KiRA’s aunt had brought back with her.
The two ladies were being full on scientists with this one.
The crow was feeling very awkward with all the wires attached to its body, with all the things that were going on here, but it complied with the ladies who had been patient all this while.
KiRA was unbothered by everything they were doing as he talked business with his partner and took in all the reports carefully.
"What can this one do? Is it like the monsters found in the tower or a sentient being that we can compare to the unique races?" Even Izzy’s father was interested in the creature.
This was the first time any of the four were seeing a Luminaries, even Izzy and Ziggy were seeing one in real life for the first time.
The creature was suppressing its unique divine nature and had tower’s restrictions applied on it so it was safer for them right now.
It was perhaps their only chance to get to know as much about these creatures as possible as according to KiRA, they might never get to see another one of them anytime soon.
They were taking their time assessing the dungeon manager, and, to anyone else who understood what these beings were, this whole situation would have been repulsive, if anything.
The dungeon managers were beings that made the very dungeons that were killing tens of hundreds of people in their world each day.
They were the reason there was suffering even outside of the tower, but... this family understood the simple fact that they could not resent a merchant or artist for their art.
The humans choose to go inside the dungeons if they don’t manifest in the locations they are already in.
If not for their need, want, and greed for the rewards and resources that comes out of the dungeon, there would be far less deaths around the world.
And it’s not like this crow was making all the dungeons around the world. They cannot blame them for all the other deaths now, how could they?
"Then, is that all?" KiRA was done listening to the reports and was sure that this partner of his had done a great job with his previous projects.
The things that he was creating were all pretty good sounding. If anything, there was something unique about his works that reminded him of some of the famous dungeons from the Tower of Beginning.
He wasn’t sure if they were the same but he wanted to wait and see more. This one was still far younger compared to the snake that he had come here with.
The field experience and then the time spent working on different dungeons with different motives would decide how much they grow going forward.
{ "Yes, that should be all..." }
The profits that he made with their deal were pretty great. And considering their contract was going to last for a few years, long enough for their world to reach higher floors of the tower, KiRA wasn’t worried about losing this good business partner of his.
His initial investments had given him great results already, but there was still more to come from this deal.
And now that the creature did not have to care about his superiors or pressure from above, it could unleash its creativity.
KiRA found that better, and seeing how the elders were getting too invested in their analysis of this being, he knew it was time to part ways now.
"Fine then, we can stop here. There shouldn’t be any problems on my end now. And I’ll send you some ideas later that you can explore. See if you like something and work with it.
There are still many things you can do, even an addition to the existing project structures are possible. But that will be up to you."
The dungeon managers were not always as hard working as this one.
{ "I shall take my leave then. Ah, I shall get the next payment in a few days so you’ll get your share as soon as possible as well.
Once again, I’ll apologise for the problems you might have faced because of me. I will try to be more careful the next time." }
It’s not everyday that you see a dungeon manager bowing before a human or apologising for something.
Since they worked with the higher beings most of the time, they were much like this one’s snake senior.
They considered themselves to be above most other beings and some of them were simply too dangerous for the human kind.
This one was not harmful, and thanks to their early deal, KiRA was considering investing heavily into this guy.
He could tell the returns that he might get from this one would not be small in any manner.
"There’s no need to worry about all that too much. Don’t worry and be on your way. Though, timely payments would most certainly be a good thing from now on."
Money was always needed. With an entire guild to look after, the funds that could help them were obviously no small thing.
The money that he was earning was not for indulgence. Most of it was investment toward their future.
He would start saving up for the higher floors later on but for now, the income sources were the most important.
’I have this investment, and once I come back from the desert, I should go and look for other places as well.’
Since they had invested in the various cities on the 30th floor as well, as they move on to the following floors, their investments will start paying up as well.
The players would want to use the facilities that they had in the cities that they were now managing alongside the natives and the profits would go to them.
The first two floors also had various areas that they would gather resources from, but as they go to the higher floors and clear certain dungeons, thor income sources would increase, leading to a better money flow.
{ "I will make sure you get the share in a timely manner. And about the arrangement you talked about." }
The crow looked at the family members who were still curious about him and then at his business partner.
There was a secret exchange of words when they did that and soon after that, they both nodded mysteriously at one another.
"You know how it’s done so I’ll leave it to you." KiRA said with a little smile as she shook his head.
The rest of them were curious about this exchange but knew there would be nothing they could get out of this.
There were many things that he did not share with them and they could just tell this was one of them, so they just continued with what they were doing while they still had the chance.
"Guys, looks like you will have to finish it now."
Sadly they would have to finish now. The pretty white crow needed to go.
"Ah... is it time already?"
"I wish we should have started when that snake was still here."
"I didn’t like her from the start. She was pretty but at the same time, she had that look in her eyes..."
"Hunger."
They did not like the snake. It was obvious they did not like it because there was no way the creature was the same as the white crow.
It may not want to eat them, it was a dungeon cultivator and seeing all these people with such great potential might have triggered her innate responses.
"It’s fine. I don’t think she will come back here." KiRA knew the tower restrictions would not let the managers come outside of the tower without special circumstances.
The crow was a contractor but the snake had no relation to them. Also, he had already put a restrictive order on her.
She would not be able to harm them or investigate them further. If she does that, there will be consequences.
Above that, the god that she was working under was exposed already thanks to her good efforts.
If she or They do anything to any of his people, the ones that were after him, the ones like the Master of Lust, would not leave the higher being alone.
There will be a war, and they will not come out of it unscathed.
{ "Then I will see you all soon." }
The white crow took his leave as well after a respectful bow, vanishing into the spatial crack that it had come from.
With the creature’s departure, the family was back to their normal behaviour as well.
The ladies finished their analysis, the elders finished their work, Ziggy was chatting with his colleagues through the forum while Izzy was looking through the interesting data their mothers had collected.
It was fun, and the atmosphere seemed great.
’It should be fine.’
He was going to leave for the desert tonight itself.
And, with these recent events, he was certain there wouldn’t be any problems with leaving this cool family of his for a little while...
The destination was dangerous though. So, he was most certainly going to need their blessings.
