CHAPTER 78: MOVING TO THE VALLEY

The energy that KiRA was detecting all this time was closer to the special energies of the fairies, one of the most prominent races of the Tower.

The fairies, possessing powers beyond anything any other species possessed, were beings that stood at the pinnacle of mortals along with the [Dragons] and the [Undying].

The fairies were some of the most skillful beings as well. Meeting a fairy in real life was the same as meeting a mythical creature... so, even meeting a being of the same bloodline as the fairies was considered to be a special occasion for any players, especially in the lower floors where beings like them are much rarer.

"It’s just like a leaf, you know? If it wasn’t for the faint special energy, this thing would forever go unnoticed by anyone." Izzy was holding the leaf that did not look anything special.

They collected the leaf from one of the lower branches of a tall tree. The tree itself wasn’t anything special either.

This leaf did not have any special indication of being special aside from the faint energy that the two of them could feel, that KiRA could see in a bright green form of a dense kind of Mana.

"That’s how it’s supposed to be, you know? If they were easy to find, then people wouldn’t call them descendants of the mythical race."

The leaf was a simple element, however the leaf itself wasn’t what KiRA was after. It was the being that was residing within it.

"You have seen them before, right?" Taking the leaf from Izzy, and holding it gently, KiRA infused a little of his Holy power inside of it.

"I have. But you shouldn’t do that, you know?" Though simple soundling, the action was the same as intruding into someone else’s house. An action that the house owner would obviously not like.

-Oooooooooooooooong!"

The leaf that looked as simple as any other leaf on the trees around them, glowed with a bright green light that only KiRA could see.

But then from inside of this leaf, something that all of them could see flew out.

"Guuuuu!"

Resembling a glowing ball of green light, the being resembled the fireflies seen from afar. One cannot make out the actual form of the creature unless one looks closer.

"Guuuuu!"

The others would have missed it from how the ball of light came out and started buzzing before their faces, but KiRA could see it clearly with his sensitive eyes.

This being before him, this special being that was perhaps only one of its kind on the lower floors, resembled a humanoid being.

It had a body entirely green. There was something special about this being as well... while its entire body was green, it had eyes that resembled actual diamonds.

They were shiny and transparent. They looked like the finest form of jewel that one could craft.

The creature seemed angry that they were disturbing its sweet sleep, however, the little being didn’t stay angry at them for long.

"Guuu? Guu!"

The moment the little ball of light spotted Unity sitting on KiRA’s head, the shiny diamonds in its eyes glowed. It seemed to have found something very precious.

"Guuu!" It went straight to Unity and settled down on her feathers.

The little ball of light was even smaller than Unity so it sat down on the little bird, and seeing this scene, KiRA was reminded of the times when he had to play countless tricks to befriend this little guy in the game.

Having Unity from the start was the biggest advantage that he had. It was unfair gameplay wise, however the advantage was helpful to him in countless ways.

"Well, that was easy." Seeing this being happy was all that he needed for now. "Being the only one here must have been lonely as usual."

They were called Fay, a direct blood descendant of the fairies.

While the energy they possessed wasn’t as pure as the fairies’, it was pretty similar.

"What do you want to do now? It’s been more than a month since we’ve been here. Should we go back now that you got that little guy?"

This Fay was specifically a [Leaf Fay] that lived inside a leaf. They slept for a long, long time and only moved when they woke up from their sleep.

They changed their houses when the previous ones started feeling too boring for them, and while this poor one lived here alone, they were mainly residents of the middle floors.

There weren’t many since they were creatures of nature, beings very close to nature, but they were still not as rare as the fairies that moved throughout the tower freely and were famous for being mischievous.

"It’s going to sleep most of the time anyway so that’s that. But while we got this guy, since we’re here anyway, we might as well go to the valley, what do you think?"

The first and most important hidden piece was obtained. The second one wasn’t something they would be able to find so easily.

They wouldn’t have to search the entire forest, but finding that thing was the same as looking for a needle in a needle factory.

They wouldn’t even have a direction like they did with the special energy of the Fay. They would be diving in completely cluelessly.

In fact, the chances were greater that someone else would find that before them. It was all based on luck... but then again, it was truly a hidden piece. Whoever gets their hands on it will have a smoother time going forward.

"You wanna go see the little ones?" Izzy knew why KiRA wanted to go to the valley. Well, since they couldn’t look for the second hidden piece, he was going to move to the last one directly.

They were going to have quite some fun though, so she didn’t mind.

They had stayed in the tower for a month already. A few more days won’t hurt.

"Yup. Why don’t we have fun and finish the quest while we’re at it? It’s not like there’s anything fun back home.

Aunt and your mom should be taking care of all of the technical things related to the guild anyway."

The guild was established but the initial steps were pretty complicated. Creating an actual company, establishing rules, and drafting the different departments, there were so many things to do that they were better off leaving that stuff in the hands of the experts.

They were better at those things so when they got back, they were going to focus completely on the new recruits.

"That sounds fair. Spending a few more days would actually be fun." Izzy had a smile on her face once again.

This forest had become a little too familiar to her now. She didn’t just want to leave it behind.

Besides, their quest was still not complete yet.

They were goofing around for many days these past few days, so she was behind on many things.

She wanted to say a proper goodbye to this place. However, before they do that, it is best to finish the floor quest.

’What better way to end the quest than fighting a hidden boss?’

It wasn’t the same as the demoness but this thing was still pretty different from the other creatures of this floor.

In theory, it was connected to this little friend they just met as well.

But the truth of how it got here or why it was here has remained a mystery to even KiRA... perhaps, their encounter this time will shed some fresh light on it.
