Transmigrated as a Rare Female: Beast Husbands Love Me Exclusively
Chapter 17: Vines... The Masked Man!
CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: VINES... THE MASKED MAN!
Ruan Li’s mind went blank for a moment. Fortunately, she was on the sofa, and she might have accidentally leaned against Shi Jue while asleep. Luckily, it wasn’t more than that.
Good thing it wasn’t on the bed!
As a beautiful girl in her twenties who loves beauty, there’s a reason why Ruan Li has been single so far (her ex-husband doesn’t count, that was a mistake every young woman makes). She’s very serious about relationships and is slow to warm up, and quite conservative.
Although these male Beastmen are nominally her husbands, she doesn’t necessarily have to be responsible for them...
As long as she eats well and lives well, that’s enough.
Ruan Li moved extremely slowly, intending to inch away from Shi Jue’s embrace. Just as she was about to succeed, the man pulled her back into his arms with one arm.
Resigning herself, she leaned against his shoulder, clearly feeling the well-toned body beneath his clothes.
Ruan Li’s mind began to wander.
She hadn’t touched a six-pack before... She hadn’t touched them enough, those hardly counted.
Warm breaths brushed her neck like a feather, sometimes sweeping over, causing a shivering tickle.
The man’s Adam’s apple moved up and down, and his emerald eyes slowly opened, revealing a ferocious wildness.
His beast-like tiger eyes stared at the delicious little female so close, like prey.
A faint fragrance, like a barely-there breeze, gently brushed against his face, digging into his nose with impudence, making him want to take a bite in his mind.
Ruan Li had never seen this side of Shi Jue, wild and unrestrained.
She held her breath slightly, nervously watching Shi Jue, her hands tightly clutching his shoulder’s clothing.
As the face came closer, Ruan Li instinctively refused, "Don’t..." come closer.
A feather-light kiss landed on her forehead, so quick she almost didn’t feel it. If not for the remaining warmth on her skin, Ruan Li wouldn’t have known anything touched her forehead.
Shi Jue leaned back, sitting up straight.
Ruan Li looked up to see his emerald eyes, like a clear spring.
The breeze rippled across the lake, dancing circles of ripples.
"You"
Ruan Li wanted to say something, but as the words reached her mouth, she didn’t know what to say.
Very different, her heartbeat slowed.
Shi Jue smiled, blinked, and leaned close to her ear, whispering, "What are you thinking? I’m not a bad Beastman."
He released Ruan Li, stood up, and looked up to see the second floor almost restored to its original state, "This little robot’s speed is pretty good."
Ruan Li felt her face begin to blush belatedly, reassuring herself for a moment, and also looked towards the second floor, "Wow, it’s almost identical!"
Her exclamation came from the heart.
If she hadn’t experienced her home being blown up herself, she might think nothing had happened.
"There are probably some home appliances that still need to be bought, I’ll go up and take a look first."
Shi Jue’s figure disappeared on the second floor.
As Ruan Li turned her head, she met Xu Mo’s seemingly smiling gaze for a few seconds before quickly averting her eyes, murmuring to herself, "I’ll go upstairs and take a look too."
They calculated what needs to be bought, and it was already evening.
Ruan Li’s stomach growled with hunger, and she planned to order takeout to be delivered, after all, she had money.
This time, she chose a different place, thinking to change the taste.
The meal was delivered to the door.
"Strange, Bai He seems to have stayed in the room for a long time, should I go call him?" Ruan Li asked.
Xu Mo watched Ruan Li’s figure going upstairs, his red eyes lowered slightly.
Knock knock knock.
No response.
Ruan Li asked softly, "Bai He, are you coming down to eat?"
There was still no response.
Ruan Li knocked on the door again.
She thought of how Bai He’s face hadn’t looked right since last night, and her heart was filled with doubt. Could he be injured but, for some reason, can’t say?
The door wasn’t locked. She pushed it open a crack, and the room was pitch black.
Ruan Li tentatively asked, "Bai He, are you in here?"
It seemed like no one was inside. Ruan Li was about to leave when she suddenly heard a very faint moan.
"Bai He, is that you?"
In the darkness, a pair of eyes with a white glow suddenly opened. As soon as Ruan Li met those eyes, her wrist was silently wrapped by something and pulled into the darkness.
The soft yet rough thing wrapped around her wrist and climbed upward, binding her hands firmly and encircling her neck.
Ruan Li panicked and tried to grab at it, but the more she struggled, the tighter it became, not even allowing her to cry for help.
The silver-white eyes approached her quietly.
Tears spilled from her eyes, sliding down her cheeks.
A rough texture brushed against her tear-streaked face.
A low and mysterious voice said, "Don’t cry."
"Mmm-mmm!" Ruan Li struggled again, trying to make a sound, but it was all muffled.
"Don’t move."
The man’s voice sounded as if a bit displeased.
Ruan Li suddenly stopped all her actions.
Her moist eyes opened wide, pitiful and yet enticing.
[No, no, let me go...]
All her words turned into mumbled sounds, muffled and indistinct.
A chilling touch pressed against her soft waist.
Warmth and icy cold clashed, a shiver resonating as if from the depths of her soul.
Is it blood?
The cold had blurred her senses, tears soaking her face.
A sigh, seemingly softened by empathy.
But his actions showed no empathy at all.
Extreme cold ruthlessly stripped away her body warmth, her consciousness muddled like a small boat capsized in a stormy night.
A strange, bewitching fragrance of blood and cold scent thwarted her ability to think.
Who is he?
What is he doing?
A coarse finger gently traced over her soft lips, lingering as if reluctant to part.
"Thank you, I’ll repay you."
A cool voice rang out as her consciousness faded, like a dream blown away by the wind.
The last scene lingered in her view.
The cold white moonlight appeared suddenly, revealing a silver mask under the bright moon. The man’s jawline was like the exquisite lines on an artist’s canvas, his pale lips pressed into a thin line. As gentle eyes under the moonlight turned soft, his long silver hair flowed with the wind, a pure white outfit accentuating every line of his body, a white rose pinned to his chest.
He noticed Ruan Li had seen him and placed a finger to his lips.
"Don’t make a sound, or he’ll hear."
Confusion flashed through Ruan Li’s mind, but then the force holding her suddenly withdrew. She was about to slump to the floor but was caught by the man.
"Sleep, when you wake up, you’ll forget all about this."
Sleepiness washed over her like a tide, the cool scent thick at first then gradually faded away.
...Suddenly there was a commotion at the door.
"No way, I have to see what’s happening!"
"Idiot, are you going to interrupt someone’s business?"
"Stupid fox! Stop saying nonsense!"
"What do you think a female and a male have been doing in a room for so long, huh?"
The voices at the door fell silent.
Ruan Li blinked, slowly bringing her eyes into focus.
