"Ruannuan, I’ve seen your location; wait for a minute, the flying vehicle will land in front of you."

Ruan Li hugged her arms tightly, standing in the cold wind, her gaze directed towards the city.

He gently touched Ruan Li’s cheek, "You’ve lost so much weight." Even the soft flesh on her cheeks was gone, and holding her felt like touching bone.

What used to be a soft, snug feeling now felt painfully skinny.

Ruan Li: "You guys look thinner too."

It was actually... a small warship!

The man’s black cape flapped in the fierce cold wind, rustling in the air; the golden ornaments on the black military uniform swayed gently with each step, and the leather gloves were removed from the long fingers, tipping a hat brim to reveal those dark, night-like eyes.

Lu Mufeng’s deep voice suddenly sounded in the cold wind, yet it was exceptionally reassuring.

Bai Ci released the hug but quietly took her hand, as if intentionally asserting his presence in front of the brother-in-law.

Ruan Li looked at Bai He beside her, who nodded at her.

She walked toward Lu Mufeng, calling out crisply, "Marshal Lu."

He turned around, glanced at Bai Ci standing guard by Ruan Li’s side, and then walked into the small warship.

"Get in, Marshal Lu even mobilized his personal guards to find you," Bai He explained.

Ruan Li discreetly let go of Bai Ci’s hand, walked to Bai He, and took his hand. Originally as jade-like in bone, it was now skinny to the point of being just bones, feeling like holding a stick.

Ruan Li quietly traced his hand in her palm, feeling heartbroken.

Bai He reassured her with his gaze, "Let’s go home first."

Ruan Li took a few steps but suddenly stopped.

She remembered that she still owed a debt.

"What’s wrong?" Bai He asked.

Ruan Li told him about her debt of several thousand crystal cores.

Bai He pursed his lips, "You go up to the warship first, I’ll go repay the crystal cores for you."

Bai Ci seeing the two of them whispering, not knowing what they were saying, pretended to pass by casually, ears perked as he heard Bai He mention going somewhere...

Ruan Li nodded, casually glancing outside the glass as she passed by, catching sight of something in the desert emitting a blue glow out of the corner of her eye, she momentarily thought she was mistaken, and when she looked again, the warship had already ascended high into the sky, leaving the ground as nothing more than a vague shadow below.
