Transmigrated as My Aunt in the 70s
Chapter 437 - 430: Jin Wen in Hiding
CHAPTER 437: CHAPTER 430: JIN WEN IN HIDING
The Mo Family arrived the next morning, with Mo Liu’s father Mori and grandpa Mou Ming coming to the hospital. Seeing Mo Liu wrapped on the hospital bed like a mummy, they couldn’t help but let their tears freely flow.
After learning the cause of the incident, Mou Ming was so angry that his beard trembled. He grabbed Mr. Yun and said, "Yun Po Bi, this loss that Ah Liu suffered can’t be in vain, you must seek vengeance for him."
Mr. Yun responded indifferently, "Of course, Ah Liu is also my junior, how could I just stand by and watch him be wronged?"
Mo Liu’s injuries looked serious, but since they were all external wounds and with Sisi’s previous treatment using Qiong Wine, he was recovering very quickly. Less than a week after surgery, his wounds had already started to scab, astonishing the doctors.
Sisi visited him at the hospital every day, and of course, she told Mo Liu everything about the reason he was harmed. Whether he wanted to continue being friends with Jin Yan or not was his own decision to make.
Although she truly disliked Jin Yan, Mo Liu had his own circle of life, and she was just a friend with whom he got along well; she had no right to interfere with his friendships.
"Ah Liu, rest assured, we will definitely avenge you and not let you suffer for nothing."
Sisi prepared a bowl of pork bone soup for Mo Liu, handing it to him. She had simmered the soup on low heat since last night; the bones were so tender that they melted away, with oil forming glistening patterns on the surface, exuding a delicious aroma.
Mo Liu drank a bowl of soup and then looked at Sisi in a daze, but his eyes were no longer as pure and transparent as before, now they held a hint of depth.
"Ah Liu, what’s wrong?" Sisi noticed Mo Liu’s odd behavior and couldn’t help but ask.
"Sisi, my memory has come back," Mo Liu said softly, a touch of panic in his voice.
Sisi paused for a moment, and looking at Mo Liu’s cautious demeanor, she cursed the person who once hurt Mo Liu from the bottom of her heart, yet her smile grew even brighter.
"Regaining your memory is a good thing!"
"But my memories are not all pleasant," Mo Liu seemed to recall something painful, a flash of agony crossing his eyes.
"Ah Liu, a person’s life cannot only consist of beautiful memories. Without having experienced pain, how can one appreciate the feeling of happiness? Even the phoenix has to endure the excruciating pain of rebirth to attain divinity," Sisi carefully chose her words to comfort Mo Liu, afraid that a single wrong word might upset him.
However, Mo Liu seemed to cheer up a lot. Without needing Sisi to say much, he recovered his spirits and even started to joke with her, putting her mind at ease.
It must have been the calming effect of the medicine, as before long, Mo Liu began to yawn, his eyes brimming with sleep.
"Sisi, thank you!" Mo Liu said very sincerely just before he fell asleep.
"Fool, we’re friends for a lifetime!" Sisi said with an affectionate tease. After Mo Liu fell asleep, she took her thermos and left.
The Jins
Old Sir Jin walked in with a face as dark as iron and asked Old Mrs. Jin, "Where is Jin Wen?"
Old Mrs. Jin, startled by her husband’s furious expression, didn’t dare to ask more and replied softly, "Ah Wen just came home from school and went straight to her room."
"What is it, old man? Who made you so angry?" Old Mrs. Jin couldn’t help but ask.
Old Sir Jin didn’t pay any attention to her at all and headed straight for Jin Wen’s room. The door was ajar, and without a second thought, Old Sir Jin kicked it open.
Jin Wen, who was pruning flowers inside the room, was startled. Her face darkened, and just as she was about to curse out loud, she saw it was Old Sir Jin, so she forced a smile, "Grandpa, who made you angry?"
"Jin Wen, who allowed you to lay hands on Mo Liu?" Old Sir Jin suppressed his rage, staring fiercely at his granddaughter.
This granddaughter he had waited decades for, he would gladly give her anything good this world had to offer, to let her live like a Princess.
But who would have known, as Ah Wen grew older, her temper got increasingly bizarre. Anyone slightly displeasing to her had to be wiped out. Starting with killing her first person at age twelve, she had now taken the lives of over a dozen.
Moreover, all those who died were young and pretty girls. Each time he asked her why, Ah Wen always said it was because these people were prettier than her and she couldn’t stand the sight of them.
Each time he heard this, he felt awful inside. He blamed his own ugliness for his granddaughter’s lack of good looks, knowing well that Ah Wen resembled him the most.
Burdened by this guilt, whenever Ah Wen caused trouble, he would cover for her. Fortunately, all the deceased came from ordinary families – not enough to stir even a ripple against the Jins. They just had to offer some money to scare them away and it would be settled.
But this time was different. This time, they had provoked the Mo Family. Although not fearful, behind the Mo Family stood Yun Family which was not to be trificked with. Reminiscing about the previous words spoken by Old Man Yun, the gloom on Old Sir Jin’s face became even darker.
No, he couldn’t hand his granddaughter over. Old Sir Jin, though exceedingly disappointed in his granddaughter, still cherished her after eighteen years – how could he bear to hand her over to someone else for dealing with?
Seeing the look in her own grandfather’s eyes shift between affection, anger, and regret, Jin Wen felt a bit uneasy as well. Uncle Jing had still not returned, and she didn’t know if that Mo bitch was dead or not.
"Why can’t I take action against someone surnamed Mo? Didn’t I follow your words and leave He Sisi alone?" Jin Wen retorted, neck tilted.
A breath seemed caught in Old Sir Jin’s chest, unable to go up or down. Given his age, he couldn’t even stand steady, his vision darkened, and he had to sit down with the aid of a chair beside him, sighing weakly.
It was only at this moment that Old Sir Jin felt a twinge of regret. It was all his fault for spoiling his granddaughter too much! Initially, she only targeted pretty women, but who knew that now even men could not escape her ire. Only now did Old Sir Jin realize that his granddaughter might truly have serious psychological issues.
"Pack your things right away and stay up in the mountains for a few days. Once this matter is sorted out, I will send you abroad."
Old Sir Jin didn’t want to converse anymore with Jin Wen. After saying these words, he stood up and walked out of the room, indifferent to the screams coming from Jin Wen behind him.
"I don’t want to go abroad; I’m not going anywhere!" Jin Wen cried hoarsely, but no one came to her. Everyone had received Old Sir Jin’s orders; nobody dared approach her room.
After yelling till her throat hurt, Jin Wen finally realized that her grandfather was truly angry. She drooped into the chair, swiped her hand, and with a ’crack,’ the vase on the table shattered into pieces, blood-red roses scattered over the floor, glaringly red.
Upon learning of the Jins’ plan, Mr. Yun couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh. They think they can escape after doing something wrong? It won’t be that easy!
"Datu, tell the boys that Jin Wen is up in the mountains. As long as they don’t kill her, they can do whatever they want."
"Yes," Luo Datou replied respectfully as he withdrew.
"Jin Guangrong, you truly are a hero for a lifetime, a fool for a moment!"
Mr. Yun clicked his tongue in pity and began to revel once again in the wisdom of his decision to never marry or have children. What use was it for Jin Guangrong to have so many children? One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel!
