CHAPTER 374: CHAPTER 206 JEALOUSY

"What’s wrong?"

You’re asking me what’s wrong? Lin Man was about to be infuriated by Shu Wan.

Spent over three billion on her in half a year, so wealthy and still willing to spend time taking care of her, where could she find a man like that? Lin Man had never seen such a thing in her life.

And Shu Wan even had the nerve to ask what was wrong! Lin Man was almost at her breaking point.

Oh, wait, Lin Man reconsidered, Shu Wan was married, she couldn’t outright mention the affair, so, "This man you mentioned, he isn’t your husband, is he?"

"Um."

"...."

This... Although Shu Wan described him as quite romantic and willing to spend money, but an old man that age, with a son too, if he wasn’t clever, how could he possibly fool Shu Wan?

Lin Man was about to say the man seemed reliable, but her attitude shifted abruptly, "If he didn’t conquer you with money and emotional value, how could he have possibly won you over? I think you should consider this carefully, this man might not truly like you, he might just be after your beauty."

Shu Wan hadn’t responded yet when Lin Man added, "It’s the modern era, can’t we be independent women, make our own money, and isn’t it nicer to keep a young handsome guy later? Why hang on a single tree?"

Lin Man was worried that being too blunt might embarrass Shu Wan, so she softened her words a lot, which is perhaps why Shu Wan didn’t quite understand.

Shu Wan was still pondering over Lin Man’s comment about Fu Siyu not being good enough, could there be many people who are better than Fu Siyu?

"His conditions are actually quite good."

"??" Lin Man didn’t understand, "He’s just a bit richer, more experienced, but you have money too, if the man isn’t handsome, his value is reduced by 99%, can’t you see that clearly?"

Lin Man was speechless, how had she not noticed that Shu Wan was still so lovestruck.

No matter how handsome, what could he look like at that age? He couldn’t compare to the young hunks, and even breaking the sky couldn’t make him as handsome as Fu Siyu.

"As handsome as Fu Siyu, does that count as handsome?"

Shu Wan hinted.

However, how could Lin Man believe that this man was as handsome as Fu Siyu—she just thought that Shu Wan had really lost her mind.

"Don’t kid yourself," Lin Man ultimately couldn’t help but speak the harsh truth to Shu Wan, "If he were really a super handsome guy like Fu Siyu, would he need to spend money? Would he need to take such meticulous care of you? He would just need to stand there quietly, and there would be countless people dying to live for him, you know?"

"What if Fu Siyu did these things for you?"

"Then I’d go back to my ancestral hometown with thirty million."

"??" Lin Man’s thought process was too fast, and Shu Wan didn’t catch up for a moment.

"Go back and offer incense to my ancestors up to the eighteenth generation, thank them for blessing me with such good fortune."

"......"

"I can’t help it, I’m just obsessed with looks, you say if your husband were Fu Siyu, I’d support you 100%, but look what you ended up with, I’m too lazy to say anything about it."

Lin Man’s filter for Fu Siyu was incredibly strong, Shu Wan figured asking her further would be pointless, "You go ahead and get busy, I’ll take a nap."

"Alright, I won’t say much more, just one last thing, asking others is useless, you need to ask yourself, what do you feel?"

Seeing Lin Man suddenly getting serious, Shu Wan pondered for a moment, then responded to Lin Man, "Okay, thank you."

"Don’t thank me, just owe me a photoshoot."

"Okay."

After ending her conversation with Lin Man, Shu Wan leaned back on her bed, reflecting on Lin Man’s last words.

What was she feeling?

At this moment, in the bedroom next door, Fu Yang was having a standoff with Fu Siyu.

"Have you been taking the wrong medication lately? If you have too much energy, go find Shu Wan, but why are you putting on this father-son love act with me?"

Fu Yang tried to appear cold and heartless, but having caught a cold recently, his voice sounded nasally and he couldn’t raise it, making him sound more like a whiny little lion, fearsome only on the surface.

Fu Siyu ignored Fu Yang’s words, placing a cup of hot water and a pill on the table. "I’ll watch you take this, or else I’m not leaving."

"..."

Fu Yang felt the world, and Fu Siyu, had gone insane.

Despite not wanting to acknowledge Fu Siyu, the latter, true to his word, did not leave. Eventually, under Fu Siyu’s gaze, Fu Yang finished the medicine.

"Are you satisfied now? Can you leave?"

"Mm," Fu Siyu nodded. "Make sure to cover yourself with the blanket tonight, don’t catch a cold."

"..."

These past few days, this was how Fu Siyu spoke to Fu Yang, but Fu Yang still hadn’t gotten used to it; it made his skin crawl. "What’s gotten into you these past few days? Can you not be so cheesy?"

"It’s my first time being a father. I have many shortcomings, I’m just trying to correct my previous mistakes."

Fu Yang was taken aback, utterly unprepared for Fu Siyu’s response.

Under Fu Siyu’s intense gaze, Fu Yang uncomfortably looked away. "What could Mr. Fu possibly do wrong? Who would dare refute anything Mr. Fu does?"

Fu Siyu didn’t get angry but chuckled lightly instead. "Go to sleep, I’ll leave now. I’ll take you to school tomorrow morning."

"Who needs you to take them!" Fu Yang protested from behind. "Can you stop assuming things?!"

However, Fu Yang’s protests were futile for Fu Siyu, who simply pretended not to hear and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"He must be crazy."

Fu Yang wore a bewildered expression, utterly at a loss as to what had transpired over the past few days that had seemingly changed Fu Siyu.

Meanwhile downstairs, Fu Siyu was directing the servants on the dinner preparations for both Shu Wan and Fu Yang.

Knowing Fu Yang usually disliked milk, a servant was about to set aside his portion, yet Fu Siyu stopped them. "Leave it there, take it back if he doesn’t drink it."

"Alright."

These past two evenings, Fu Siyu had taken some time to make sweet soup, one for Fu Yang and one for Shu Wan.

Tonight’s sweet soup was ready too; Fu Siyu divided it into two bowls, adding equal types and amounts of fruit to each.

Watching from the side, the servant couldn’t help admiring how seriously and meticulously Fu Siyu made even just sweet soup.

But when the servant brought the dishes into Fu Yang’s bedroom, he seemed to understand a bit of Fu Siyu’s intention.

"I’m not eating this, it’s disgusting."

Fu Yang glanced dismissively at the dishes on the table and snorted.

Hmm, the servant thought to himself, if it’s so disgusting, why do you finish it every time?

"Who prepared this? What is Shu Wan eating?"

"The young master had us prepare it; both you and the Young Madam have identical portions."

"Oh, it looks disgusting," Fu Yang responded indifferently, then waved his hand dismissively. "No wonder, if it was prepared by him."
