CHAPTER 439: CHAPTER 250 MOTHER

Shu Wan turned her head, and the hair on her forehead brushed against Fu Siyu’s chin, causing the hand Fu Siyu had placed on her waist to tighten slightly.

"Why did you come over?"

Accustomed to Fu Siyu’s embrace, Shu Wan naturally snuggled into his arms, and she even adjusted to a more comfortable position.

Sensing Shu Wan’s movement, a hint of a smile flashed in Fu Siyu’s eyes. He leaned down and planted a kiss on the side of Shu Wan’s temple. "I had a meeting this afternoon, and I suddenly missed you, so I came to pick you up."

The conference room of Guangyu Group faced a building with Shu Wan’s newly replaced poster.

Whenever Fu Siyu looked up during the meeting, he could see Shu Wan, which easily gave rise to the desire to come and find her.

Shu Wan had a strong capacity for tolerance, but her long-established habit of being reserved still made her heart palpitate whenever she heard Fu Siyu express himself so directly.

"Oh."

Shu Wan’s eyelashes trembled as she didn’t know how to continue the conversation.

"Li Si mentioned that the new show is getting ready to start filming," Fu Siyu timely introduced a topic.

"Yeah," Shu Wan nodded. "Thank you for lending Li Si to me; he’s quite capable."

Shu Wan had now started her own pharmaceutical company, and she obviously couldn’t handle everything personally. Li Si had been a great help to her.

"He will be very happy to receive your approval."

Fu Siyu spoke as he tore open a piece of chocolate and handed it to Shu Wan, "I’ve seen a lot of young girls eating this; you should try it too."

However, Shu Wan’s focus skewed a little, "Young girls?"

Fu Siyu paused, unable to hold back a laugh, "Are you jealous?"

Of course, Shu Wan would never admit it. She coughed lightly, "No."

"Alright." The corners of Fu Siyu’s mouth lifted, "It’s a bit of a pity; I actually hoped you were."

After speaking, Fu Siyu explained, "Today I saw the company staff eating this, so I bought it for you to try."

Fu Siyu didn’t have the habit of eating snacks, and he had only learned about this chocolate because he saw staff eating it at work. On his way over, he specially bought it after asking for its brand.

However, what Fu Siyu didn’t know was that when he stood in front of the staff with a cold face, indifferently asking what she was eating, it had nearly given the employees a heart attack.

Shu Wan took the chocolate and, even though she hadn’t eaten it yet, a smile already appeared on her face.

She liked the feeling of being thought about at any given moment.

Shu Wan took a bite, and it was a bit sweet.

After eating half, the remaining chocolate felt too rich; Shu Wan found it hard to eat, "It’s a bit sweet."

"Is it? Let me try."

Fu Siyu spoke and, following Shu Wan’s lead, bit off the half piece of chocolate directly.

Then, Shu Wan just watched as Fu Siyu chewed it twice and then swallowed the chocolate.

"This is from my mouth."

"We’ve been in contact before, haven’t we?"

Fu Siyu spoke, his gaze falling on Shu Wan’s lips, the insinuation clear as day.

Shu Wan’s cheeks flared up with a blush, recognising the familiar intimacy, but his brazen verbalisation was quite another matter.

Instinctively avoiding Fu Siyu’s warm gaze, Shu Wan ended up snuggling deeper into Fu Siyu’s embrace.

Fu Siyu’s jaw tightened slightly as he lowered his head.

As Fu Siyu’s face drew closer, Shu Wan unconsciously tightened her grip on the hem of his clothes and gradually closed her eyes.

Just as the scent of sandalwood was about to envelop her, the car window was abruptly knocked on twice.

The next second, the car door was pulled open, and Fu Yang seated himself inside.

Fu Yang moved quickly, and it wasn’t until after he had closed the door and seated himself on the sofa that he noticed the two people close together, wrapped in an embrace.

With Fu Yang’s rather extensive theories, he could probably guess what Shu Wan and Fu Siyu had been about to do before he got into the car.

Fu Yang frowned, looking at them with an odd expression, "Can’t you two be a little more aware of your surroundings?"

Shu Wan pushed Fu Siyu away, trying to sit up properly, but after a couple of attempts, Fu Siyu remained unmovable.

"Don’t mind him."

Fu Siyu was remarkably composed, still maintaining his embrace around Shu Wan, though he made no further moves.

Fu Yang didn’t enjoy being fed this "dog food," so he pouted, put on his headphones, and treated Shu Wan and Fu Siyu like strangers.

But Shu Wan couldn’t just ignore Fu Yang’s presence as if he didn’t exist. She glanced at Fu Siyu, who immediately let go. Shu Wan straightened her clothes and resettled into her seat.

With Fu Yang’s arrival, the originally hazy atmosphere in the car dissipated, and Fu Siyu began to read a document, while Shu Wan studied her script.

Fu Yang relaxed as he listened to music, glancing at the chocolates by Fu Siyu’s side. Just as he was about to ask Fu Siyu for one, he suddenly received a message.

It was from an unfamiliar number. Fu Yang thought it was spam at first and was ready to delete it.

But, with a slip of his finger, he opened the message instead.

Reading the content, Fu Yang’s eyes stalled.

"Do you want to know who your biological parents are? Do you know why Fu Siyu has always kept these things from you?"

Fu Yang was startled. Biological parents? What did that mean — wasn’t Fu Siyu his father?

Fu Yang looked at Fu Siyu subconsciously, then replied to the message, "What kind of scam is this, why should I believe you?"

"Do you really think someone with Fu Siyu’s character would have had you at the age of 14?"

This question had crossed Fu Yang’s mind before, but since everyone around him, including the Fu Mansion, had assured him that he was Fu Siyu’s son, he had dismissed his doubts.

Seeing the message now reawakened those long-buried suspicions. "Who are my biological parents? Why should I trust you?"

"Call me before midnight tonight if you want to know. If you don’t believe it, you don’t have to call, but after today, I’ll disappear forever."

After sending that message, the sender seemed to vanish, never sending another message to Fu Yang.

Fu Yang stared at the message for a long while, his gaze shifting. Eventually, he deleted the message from his phone and acted as if nothing had happened.

At this moment, the car passed by the Film and Television City. Shu Wan needed to get out and pick up something, while Fu Siyu and Fu Yang waited for her in the car.

The cold wind howled outside, brushing the edges of the window and making odd noises, just like Fu Yang’s heartbeat — erratic and jumbled.

He looked at Fu Siyu and suddenly asked, "Dad, am I really your child? Did you have me at 14?"

Fu Siyu paused his document review, lifted his head, and looked deeply into Fu Yang’s eyes, "Why do you ask all of a sudden? Did someone say something to you?"

Fu Yang raised an eyebrow, "You’re always chasing your wife, so what’s wrong with me doubting whether I’m really your child?"

Fu Siyu’s eyes narrowed, fixing on Fu Yang for a moment, but seeing Fu Yang act as though he was merely making a jibe, Fu Siyu lowered his gaze back to the document, "You are my own."

"Oh," Fu Yang replied, asking for the first time in many years, "Then who is my mother?"
