CHAPTER 301: CHAPTER 300: THE BIRDS HUNT ON THE BASE 2

They could immediately hear the sounds of guns and some shouts from the base.

"F*ck! They are really attacking the base!" Nathan said.

After seeing that the birds are really attacking the people in the base, Treyton swiftly ordered, "Wes, Mia, you guys and some others will stay in the villa and protect everyone. I and the rest will go out to other areas to help the others."

Those who had very low fighting ability, like the kids and the teens, were required to stay in the villa. While Wes and Mia were in charge of leading those with weaker abilities to protect all the others in the villa.

They were ordered not to go out and proactively fight those birds. They only had to fight any bird that really wanted to get in the villa.

There are still a lot of members that couldn’t really fight on their own and had weaker or unsuitable abilities, so Treyton could only lead 15 members outside.

Treyton immediately instructed them to prepare their weapons. He also asked Theo to bring out a large number of zombie crystals and then distributed them to everyone who would be accompanying him.

Treyton and the others quickly left, leaving Luciel and the others in the villa.

When Treyton and the others left, Wes and Mia immediately asked the others to prepare the weapons that they could use to fight those birds.

The others, especially the kids, were obviously very nervous because it was the first time that the base was attacked, but they still followed the orders of Wes and Mia.

Afterwards, Wes and Mia started arranging the combination of people who would be going out of the villa to solve problems while still leaving enough people to stay inside to act as guards and take away the others if they really couldn’t stay in the villa anymore.

As for Luciel, he didn’t interfere with Wes and Mia’s arrangements because he knew that they could arrange everything well.

Luciel just continued looking at the scene outside of the villa.

The sky above the base was already filled with birds, and Luciel could see them clearly.

He didn’t know where the flocks of hawks had come from, but many of them were enormous.

Most of them had already evolved to about half a meter in size, with wingspans ranging from 2 to 3 meters. From a distance, some were even larger, with body sizes of over a meter.

There were still some that had retained their original size, but even those posed a problem because of their numbers.

If there were only a hundred birds, the base could certainly handle them more easily. However, the real issue was that the number of birds was in the thousands.

Luciel couldn’t count them precisely, but with how dark the sky was, filled with birds, the number couldn’t be less than 5,000.

He could already hear distant gunshots and the frantic shouts of people calling for help, their voices full of fear.

Even though the base had issued a warning, there hadn’t been enough time for everyone outside to return and seek shelter.

The birds were already enormous, so their strength had likely increased as well. Given their size, they could easily break through many structures.

Even if people had made it to their houses, if those homes weren’t sturdy enough, the birds could still damage them and get inside.

Luciel also saw that when Treyton and the others went out, some birds immediately swooped down and attacked them.

Fortunately, their powers were still very lethal to the birds outside. Treyton also built a metal shield for them while they hurriedly moved away so that they wouldn’t be surrounded by the attacking birds.

After a few minutes, Treyton and the others came back again, and Luciel could see that their shields were even upgraded, as Treyton even surrounded them with lightning so the birds couldn’t easily approach them.

They hurried to the villa, and Luciel saw that they had protected Aunt Cana and the housekeeper at Treyton’s grandpa’s place.

Treyton had indeed gone to his grandpa’s place first to bring Aunt Cana to their villa.

Fortunately, Aunt Cana had been sticking to her schedule, so Treyton and the others were able to bring her to their villa.

They did have guards at the villa, but there were only three during the day and just one assigned to follow Aunt Cana while she worked.

Although these guards were experienced, most had sustained injuries during their time as soldiers, so they couldn’t fight for long periods anymore. However, they were still capable of acting as guards, which is why Treyton’s family had arranged for them to watch over the villa and Aunt Cana instead of joining the other soldiers in combat.

Aunt Cana only went to the military logistics area, which was relatively safe, so she didn’t require more than one guard. She avoided dangerous places entirely.

As for the other members of Treyton’s family, they had their subordinates, so they no longer needed guards. Most of the time, there were only three or four guards at Treyton’s grandfather’s villa.

Those four guards were also with Treyton and the others this time.

"Aunt Cana, you and the others should stay here for now. We’ll head to the hospital first to check on Nathan’s family, then we’ll go help others in the surrounding areas," Treyton said.

"I know. Just be careful," Aunt Cana replied, her voice filled with worry. Though she was concerned, she obviously understood that they had no choice but to go out, even with the danger outside.

Afterwards, Treyton and the others didn’t say anything else and hurried out of the villa again just after bringing Aunt Cana and the four guards.

The four guards couldn’t accompany Treyton and the others, but they still asked Wes and Mia to arrange for them to help defend the villa.

Aunt Cana also requested a decent weapon she could use in case they were forced to fight later.
