CHAPTER 317: CHAPTER 316: AFTER THE ATTACK OF THE BIRDS

Luciel wasn’t picky at all as long as the food was delicious, he would eat it. Even for movies, he wasn’t that picky; as long as they weren’t overly cringy love stories, he could still watch them.

"Yeah, then we’ll have to look for new movies and other fun things for Luciel again this time."

They chatted a bit while resting, and after about five minutes, they stood up and started heading to the hospital, wanting to check on the other members first and of course, Nathan’s family.

While on their way to the hospital, they saw some people coming out of their hiding places, cautiously looking around while some were already outside searching for others.

They also heard many cries which were obviously from families or friends of those who had died.

A lot of people were looking for doctors and trying to treat the injuries they had sustained.

Just five minutes after the flocks of birds were gone, people were already busy dealing with the aftermath of the attack.

When they arrived at the hospital, they saw that it had started to become busy again.

Doctors, nurses, and other personnel were working nonstop to treat those who had been injured during the bird attack.

After looking around for a while they finally saw that all the members of their team were still safe. Most of them had only suffered minor injuries, so they all decided to go back to the villa to rest.

Nathan, who had confirmed that his family was safe, was also relieved. Nathan also wanted to help the others who were injured since he was a doctor, but unfortunately, he had also suffered minor injuries and was already very tired from fighting. He wasn’t in any condition to treat others at all.

Some of the hospital staff offered to treat their injuries, but they all refused after seeing that many patients with more serious wounds were still being brought into the hospital.

They had only suffered minor injuries, so there was no need for them to stay at the hospital. They could treat their wounds by themselves, and Camille was also at their villa, so he could supervise and patch up their injuries.

After saying goodbye to Nathan’s family, they finally went back to their villa.

The area they were in before the birds left was near the military zone, so Treyton had already seen his relatives there. He knew they were safe since it had only been a few minutes between leaving the military area and when the birds finally retreated from the base.

When they arrived at the villa, they saw that the others were busy treating the minor injuries of Wes and the rest.

"Is Ciel already back?" Treyton asked after entering the villa.

"Yes, sir. He already went upstairs to rest," Nina answered.

"I see. I’ll also go and rest," Treyton said. Then, turning to everyone, he added, "After treating the injured and your own injuries, you should all rest first. As for everything else, we can discuss it later, after everyone has had some rest."

All of them really needed to rest. Even those who didn’t participate in the fight should rest as well, since they were probably very tense while the birds were still attacking the base.

After giving that instruction, Treyton also went upstairs to rest.

When he opened the door to their room, he saw Luciel already asleep on the bed, his hair still wet.

Seeing that Luciel was already asleep, Treyton quietly went to another room upstairs to take a shower so he wouldn’t disturb him.

He was also very tired, so after cleaning up, he didn’t bother drying his hair either and just went to sleep next to Luciel.

The next morning, Treyton woke up early as usual and went downstairs.

Most of the others, who were usually already in the living room by then, were still absent.

Well, considering how exhausted they had all been yesterday, it was understandable that they hadn’t shown up in the living room yet.

Even Nina and Richard seemed to have woken later than usual, as they were still just beginning to prepare breakfast. Normally, by the time Treyton came downstairs, most of the dishes were already prepared, and they were only finishing one or two last items.

"Good morning, Sir. Do you want to have some coffee and a sandwich?" Nina asked.

"Yes, prepare some for me," Treyton replied and sat on the sofa.

Most of the time, he would only have coffee in the morning, but yesterday he didn’t even eat dinner and had just gone to sleep for a long time, so he was already hungry.

Only Zam and Wes were in the living room. The two of them were both usually quiet and didn’t like to speak much, so they were just silently having their coffee and sandwiches.

They were actually the same as him, normally only having coffee in the morning, but it seemed that, like him, they were also very hungry from yesterday, so they were eating sandwiches this time.

The two simply greeted him and then continued eating. Treyton greeted them back and quietly waited for his coffee and sandwich while thinking about what had happened yesterday.

Now that he had finally rested, he had time to reflect on the events of the day before.

He had been too busy fighting the birds to think deeply about anything other than making sure that all of his relatives and team members survived, and trying to save as many people as he could.

But after getting some rest, he finally had the time to think about all the actions they took and the scenes they witnessed.

Looking back, it became even clearer that they needed more training, especially endurance training.

Their cooperation was already good since they had been working together for a long time.

They had worked for a long time together in dealing with zombies and dangers outside of the base, so they really don’t have any problems with their cooperation.
