"Let’s find a secure place," the third man said, his voice gruff as he motioned toward the edge of the tall grass. Maddie didn’t wait, she dragged the man she was clinging to along with her, her legs wrapped tightly around his waist. The others followed, their eyes darkened, and their scents thickened with rising arousal.
The moment they were out of sight, Maddie tugged the belt off the man’s pants with shaking hands. Her mouth was dry, but her body wouldn’t stop pulsing. Everything felt too hot.
"Take them off," she said breathlessly, her voice cracking under the pressure of desire. "All of you... now."
One of the guards hesitated. "We shouldn’t..."
"I’m not asking," Maddie snapped, her hand grabbing the hem of his shirt and yanking it up roughly. "Do it!"
Something inside her snapped. The drug didn’t just fog her mind, it made her desperate, hungry in a way she couldn’t control. She kissed one of them again, biting his lip until it bled, her fingers clawing at his back like a woman possessed.
The men didn’t resist anymore. The moment her nails dug into their chests, they gave in. One knelt behind her, kissing the back of her neck while another sucked on her peaches, his hands trailing down her waist. The third pulled her against him, his hands lifting her up as she clung tighter, rocking against him like her life depended on it.
Maddie moaned low in her throat, but it wasn’t from pleasure, it was from pain too. The pressure in her belly grew unbearable. Her eyes rolled back. Even with three of them on her, it wasn’t enough. She wanted more. She needed more.
Tears rolled down her cheeks as she tilted her head back. "Why isn’t it enough?" she whispered, her voice hoarse. "Why does it still burn?"
She wanted to scream. To tear her skin off. The rough hands all over her only soothed her for a second before the hunger inside grew worse. Her wolf whimpered in her head, overwhelmed and confused. Maddie felt like she was splitting in half.
The grass rustled beneath them as their movements grew frantic. One of the men gripped her thighs tightly, his fangs dug into her skin, leaving red marks on her. Another pulled at her hair, groaning low in her ear.
"She’s going to lose it," one of them muttered.
"We have to keep going," said another. "Or she’ll lose her mind."
Their words didn’t matter to Maddie. She couldn’t even hear them anymore. All she knew was the unbearable heat, the blinding ache, the desperate friction that barely scratched the surface of what she needed. She moved like a woman dying.
And in some way, she was.
She gasped for air, her eyes wide and unblinking. Her body trembled with exhaustion, but still she begged for more, her voice nothing but a whisper. "Please... don’t stop..."
......
(Ember’s POV)
I stirred as a sharp pain exploded in my head. My eyes fluttered open, only to squeeze shut again when the sunlight pierced through the room. A groan slipped from my lips. It felt like someone had slammed a rock into my skull.
I rubbed my temples, blinking slowly until the blurry room came into focus. For a moment, I didn’t move. I just lay there, breathing through the pain.
Then, as if a dam had broken, the memories from last night came flooding through my mind. Right from Mari’s betrayal, and to Erik’s assault.
My body shuddered from the fear of almost being harassed, then I remembered Damon rescuing me, and ripping Erik apart as if he was a tree branch.
My eyes widened as everything came rushing back in sharp, vivid flashes.
But it didn’t just stop there. Our time in the bathroom flashed through my head, the way I begged for his touch, and how I shamelessly moved my body against his.
My entire face flushed, and I buried it into the pillow with a soft, muffled squeak. My heart pounded like a war drum as I remembered what happened between us. His mouth... his touch... the way he held back like he was fighting a war inside himself.
I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole.
I groaned again, pulling the blanket over my head. "I can’t believe I did that..."
’Did I really moan like that? Did I actually kiss him? Oh goddess. He must think I’m insane.’
The memory of his voice whispering near my ear made my toes curl. I smacked my pillow a few times, trying to chase the embarrassment away. Why did my body still feel so warm?
But even through my shame, I remembered the look in his eyes. The way he stared at me like I was more than just some Omega or prisoner. It made my stomach flutter in the most annoying way.
I rolled onto my side and sighed deeply, finally calming myself enough to peek out from under the blanket.
But just as I was starting to relax, a deep, low growl tore through the walls.
My body froze.
The hairs on my arms stood up as the growl grew louder, darker... and more threatening. It wasn’t just some angry grunt, it was the kind of growl that made your bones rattle. A chill ran down my spine, replacing the heat from earlier.
What was going on?
I climbed off the bed slowly, careful not to make any sound. My bare feet hit the floor, and I tiptoed to the door. I pressed my ear gently against it, holding my breath.
"...how dare you kill him without even speaking to me first. How dare you lay a hand on my son?!" A thunderous growl followed.
My heart jumped in my chest. That voice... it was familiar for me to forget it. It was the voice of the man who auctioned on behalf of my father. Beta Roy.
Then came another furious growl.
"I said speak, Damon! Why did you..."
