Chapter 171 Abducted
CHAPTER 171: CHAPTER 171 ABDUCTED
(Aeris POV)
You know those moments when you have a strong intuition that was the moment you have been waiting for all your life... that special moment a man walked towards you through the crowd with a strong aura to save you from your evil stepmother... I mean evil uncle.
Every nerve inside screamed that he was going to save me, his silvery grey eyes looked so intimidating but I thought it was cute.
I had all the urge to run towards him, and then he would take me out of this mess. My heart skittered in my chest with a newfound hope.
As he walked closer to me, the world seemed to still and everyone in the hall began to disappear from my line of sight. He was the only one in the hall, and a small smile unknowingly formed on my lips.
Thump. Thump. Thump.
Just then, like music abruptly going off track before coming to a stop, the illusion broke as a hand appeared behind and struck him from behind.
My moment was gone... my knight slumped to the ground.
My eyes widened in disbelief. The perpetrators were two men, one with green eyes and golden blonde hair, and the other with hazel eyes had glasses on.
’Are they trying to abduct him?’ I took a step forward before coming to a halt again. ’But aren’t they his friends?’
I turned to the king. I gave him a small bow. "Excuse me, your majesty."
I didn’t wait for him to answer before I turned around and followed after them.
The crowds parted ways for me. I ran across the hall when I got to the exit. I looked around, but they were nowhere to be found.
I ran into the open space but I couldn’t see them. ’Where are they?’
I caught some movement from the corner of my eye. I spun around, and three men were walking towards the northern wall. The one in the middle looked unconscious.
It was them.
Without wasting any more time, I dashed towards them. ’What an annoying dress!’ I held it from both sides, pulling it slightly up.
It wasn’t long before I caught up to them, and as if they knew someone was coming after them, they turned around. Their eyes widened in horror, and I had already leaped into the air, crashing onto them.
Before they could process what had just happened, I pulled their hair. They groaned as I pulled harder.
The one with the green eyes was groaning dramatically?
’Why does it feel like they are only pretending to feel pain?’
The other man with hazel eyes... Glared at me so hard that I felt fear skittering down my spine. But it wasn’t the time to be scared.
"Why are you abducting him?" My voice turned cold as steel.
"And what made you think we are abducting him? You might not know if it was a plan to lure you out." The man with the green eyes smiled so sweetly at me.
I scoffed. "Liars!" I pulled their hair harder.
"Get your hands off my gorgeous hair, or I’ll break... I’ll pull yours too." His hand flew to my hair and began to yank it.
A cry tore from my throat, I let go of Mr. Green eyes’ hair and pulled the hair of the man with the hazel eyes with both hands.
He groaned in pain, and he pushed back his glasses with one of his hands. "Let go of me."
"No! How dare you pull a princess’s hair? Do you know how much this hair is worth? It can buy your full generation!"
"Insolent! You look nothing but a being that has escaped being a skeleton." He spat out angrily, trying to stand on his feet.
My nose flared. "Did you just call me a skeleton?!"
"I said you managed to bypass it."
"You... you... Mr. Four eyes. So ugly!" I spat out in anger.
"What did you just call me? Mr. Four eyes?!"
We got to our feet but our hands were still tangled in each other’s hair. "Are you deaf too?"
"Theo... you wouldn’t want him to see you doing that... but you guys can continue for one minute more... he wouldn’t wake up until then." Mr. Green eyes sounded like he was enjoying the fight.
We both turned to face him. And I wasn’t lying, he lay down on the grass with his head resting on his hand, propped up by his elbow. His eyes glinted as if he were watching an interesting show.
"Are you serious right now, Allaric? Get this SKELETON off me!"
I pulled his hair harder, earning a grimace from him. "Mr. Four eyes... watch how you talk to me, I am your princess. I can have your head this instant."
He scoffed. "You wouldn’t dare! I am royal too!"
I paused, my chest heaving heavily. "You are a royal?"
"Yes, I am. How dare you treat me this low? You are lucky I am generous and kind, I would have ripped your head right now..."
A growl that sent fear spiralling down my spine echoed through the air, and in the blink of an eye, Mr. Four eyes removed his hand from my hair.
As if a bucket of water had been poured on me, I slowly turned to my right, and... he stood only a few inches from me. His black eyes stared intently at me.
He unclamped my fingers buried in Mr. Green eyes’ hair.
My hands fell to my side. I leaned closer to him, tilting my head to my side wondering why his eyes were black again, they were just silvery grey before he was knocked out.
"Are you a royal too?" I blinked innocently at him.
Damon raised his hand, then his fingers gently pushed back a strand of hair from my face. The moment his hand touched my skin, I felt shivers down my spine.
"You look like a mess... but you are still ethereal." His hoarse voice was like music to my ears. However, my heart felt a little hollow... maybe it was because everything happened too fast.
