CHAPTER 305: THE INFIMARY INCIDENT.

Morning sunlight leaked through the infirmary windows, soft and warm, casting long lines across the room.

The faint scent of disinfectant and healing herbs hovered in the air, mixing with the gentle sound of rustling sheets as patients shifted in their sleep.

Kael’s eyes slowly fluttered open.

For a few seconds, his vision blurred. Then he blinked several times, trying to steady his spinning head.

"...Where...?" he whispered.

"Ohh—good morning, first year," an infirmary maid said with a cheerful smile.

She had short brown hair, bright eyes, and an energy that did not belong to someone who worked night shifts.

Kael turned his head, still groggy. "Good... morning. H-How long was I in this infirmary?"

The woman giggled lightly. "Oh, you were just admitted yesterday evening. It hasn’t even been a full day."

Yesterday.

Flashbacks hit him immediately — the fight, the demon, the collapse, Cecelia screaming his name, then complete darkness.

Kael exhaled deeply.

He slowly sat up, rubbing the side of his head. "I see..."

As his eyes adjusted, he looked around the room — and froze.

On the bed right next to him lay Edwin, unconscious, with thick bandages wrapped across his chest and arm.

His face was pale, and his hair messy, but his breathing was stable.

"Huh... Edwin too..." Kael said.

The infirmary maid nodded. "You boys caused a lot of trouble yesterday. You’re lucky the professors arrived in time."

Kael frowned.

"Lucky...?"

No. If anything, they barely survived.

He swung his legs off the bed and stood up.

Instantly, the infirmary maid hurried forward. "H-Hey—hey! You’re not alright yet. Stay here until you recover!"

"I’m alright," Kael replied calmly, stepping away.

"No, no, no!" she insisted dramatically, almost throwing herself in front of him.

She grabbed his arm with both hands, clinging to it tightly like a child hugging a toy.

Her grip was surprisingly strong.

"Stay. Here." she said with puffed cheeks, glaring up at him like an angry squirrel.

Kael sighed. "Leave me. I said I’m alright."

He gently pried her hands off, but she grabbed again — this time linking both arms around his.

"NOOO—patients must not leave until the nurse says so!! That’s the rule!"

"...Ma’am, please," Kael muttered, embarrassed.

"You’re being clingy."

She puffed her cheeks even more. "I am NOT clingy! I’m RESPONSIBLE!"

"You’re definitely clingy."

"I AM RESPONSIBLE!" she repeated, hugging his arm tighter.

They stared at each other for a moment.

Kael, with a deadpan face.

The nurse, holding his arm hostage like a leech refusing to detach.

"...I’m going," Kael said firmly.

"Noooo—!" she whined, grabbing onto him again, almost hanging from his arm.

Kael finally slipped away from her grasp and rushed out of the room before she latched onto him again.

Behind him, the maid stomped her foot.

"Hmph! Stubborn boy!"

Kael didn’t look back. His mind was already elsewhere.

Cecelia.

The instant her name surfaced in his thoughts, his chest tightened. Her injuries... her eyes... the way she fell...

Without hesitation, he went straight toward the female infirmary wing.

The hallway was quiet. The morning shift had just begun, and many students were still resting after yesterday’s chaos.

He reached the doorway of the female ward.

Kael paused.

He swallowed.

"...Just checking on her condition," he whispered to himself.

"It’s not weird... right?"

He took a slow breath and gently pushed open the door.

The hinges creaked softly.

The room was silent — too silent.

Rows of beds lined up neatly, blankets folded, pillows perfectly arranged — empty.

No nurses.

No students.

No one.

Kael stepped in, frowning.

"...Strange."

He walked between the rows, scanning for familiar faces.

Then, at the far end, he saw it — a tuft of soft silver hair peeking above a blanket.

Cecelia.

Kael’s heart skipped.

He walked closer, each step quieter than the last.

When he reached her bed, his eyes widened.

Cecelia lay unconscious.

Her cheeks were soft and flushed, lips slightly parted as she breathed gently.

But—

Her blanket had slipped down to her waist sometime.

Kael froze.

"What... the..." he whispered, face burning instantly.

Cecelia was half naked and her half lower body was wrapped in white medical bandages, covering everything important except for the upper body that he can completely see the shape of a big breast.

His eyes were locked particularly on the big breast shape.

He can clearly see her pink nipples just like a red cherry on a big cake.

Then his main part was slowly rising.

The bandages clung to her soft skin in a way that left too little to the imagination.

Kael’s face turned crimson.

"Oh—nope—nope—nope—"

He slapped a hand over his nose.

He could feel it.

The heat.

The pressure.

"N-No... no nosebleeds... c’mon..." he whispered desperately, tilting his head back.

But fate didn’t care.

A violent burst—

"GAHHHHHHH—!"

BLOOSH!

His nose erupted like a fountain.

Panicking, Kael spun around to escape the room before she woke up—

Only to bump into someone at the doorway.

Footsteps echoed from the small bathroom inside the infirmary.

The door swung open.

Elysia stepped out.

Her hair was tied up, damp from washing her face. She looked refreshed — until her eyes landed on Kael.

Her expression froze.

Her pupils shrank.

Then—

"Kael..." she said in a low, dangerous tone.

Kael stiffened.

"E-Elysia...?"

Her fingers curled slowly into a fist.

"You. Little. FUCKING. BRAT."

Before Kael could defend himself—

FWOOOSH—THUD!

Her kick slammed straight into his stomach, sending him flying backward like a sack of potatoes.

"GAH—! HKKK—!"

Kael crashed into the wall, gasping, his entire body trembling. He couldn’t even breathe properly for a few seconds.

"You perverted bastard!!" Elysia screamed, pointing at him with fiery eyes. "Why are you here!? Why is your nose bleeding!? What were you doing near Cecelia!?"

"W-Wait—Let me... explain—!" Kael coughed, covering his stomach. "I-I wasn’t doing anything weird—"

"LIAR!"

She stormed toward him.

Kael shielded his head with his arms. "I swear I wasn’t looking—!!"

"Oh, so you admit you were looking!?"

"I—I mean—NO—! I didn’t—! I mean I did, but I didn’t mean to—"

"That makes no sense!"

As they argued, Cecelia slowly stirred on the bed.

Her fingers twitched.

Her eyelids fluttered.

She grimaced weakly.

"Mmm..."

Kael and Elysia didn’t notice her waking until her voice rose.

"Hey... what are you two doing...?" Cecelia whispered, half-sitting up, rubbing her eyes.

Kael and Elysia froze mid-motion.

Elysia had her fist raised.

Kael had both hands up defensively.

Both turned slowly toward Cecelia like two guilty children caught fighting in class.

Cecelia blinked at them — then at Kael — then she tilted her head innocently.

"...Kael... why is your nose bleeding?"

Kael, flustered, tried to speak.

"I—uh—well—"

Then he instinctively glanced at her.

And made a terrible mistake.

Her blanket had slipped again — slightly.

Her bandaged upper body was exposed, the shape of her chest very prominent.

Kael’s brain completely shut down.

His eyes widened.

Steam practically shot out of his ears.

BLOOOOOOOOSH—!!

Another nosebleed erupted like an exploding geyser.

"Ah—Kael!?" Cecelia panicked. "W-Wait! Don’t look! Don’t—!!"

But Kael didn’t hear anything.

He staggered once—

Then collapsed onto the floor like a dead log.

"KAEL!" Cecelia cried.

Elysia facepalmed so hard the sound echoed.

She marched straight to Cecelia’s bedside.

"Cecelia," she said coldly. "Cover your body."

Cecelia blinked, cheeks flushing bright red. "...I-It’s okay if Kael sees..."

Elysia stopped.

Turned slowly.

"...What did you just say?"

Cecelia clasped her hands, lowering her head shyly. "I-It’s okay... since... since it’s Kael..."

Elysia’s eyebrow twitched violently.

Then—

TOOOOOOOKKK!

She delivered a perfectly executed knuckle punch onto Cecelia’s forehead.

"Awawawawa—!" Cecelia yelped, grabbing her head. "W-Why!? That hurt!"

"COVER. YOUR. BODY." Elysia ordered.

Cecelia, flustered and teary-eyed, immediately pulled the blanket up to her neck like a turtle retreating into its shell.

"H-Happy now...?" she muttered.

Elysia ignored her and dragged Kael’s unconscious body closer by the collar, dropping him at the foot of Cecelia’s bed like a sack of laundry.

Cecelia peeked at him, her face still red. "B-By the way... um... why did he come to the ladies’ infirmary room...?"

Elysia crossed her arms, looked down at Kael, then sighed exaggeratedly.

"He probably wanted to see naked women. That brat."

Cecelia cupped her cheeks with both hands, shy.

"...If it’s Kael, I don’t mind..."

Elysia’s head snapped around again.

"What did you say!?"

"E-Eh!? N-Nothing!"

Elysia grabbed her by the cheeks and squished them.

"Oh you LITTLE—!"

"Awwwaaawaaah! My faaaceee!" Cecelia cried.

Kael, still unconscious, twitched.

Kael’s POV – Half-conscious

Darkness.

Then faint voices.

"Myaaa facee— stop pulling—!"

"Stop talking nonsense and cover yourself!"

"I-I am covered—!"

"Not mentally, you’re not!"

Kael’s soul hovered between life and embarrassment.

"...Am I dead...? Is this hell...?" he murmured.

His ears faintly heard footsteps of approaching nurses.

"Oh dear—what happened here? Why is that boy dead on the floor!?"

"He’s not dead—just stupid!" Elysia shouted.

"Hey! Don’t call Kael stupid!" Cecelia protested.

"I CALL HIM WHAT HE IS!"

Kael groaned.

His suffering had only begun.

Back to Full Scene

The female infirmary was now filled with chaos.

Two nurses rushed over with towels and herbal patches.

Elysia stood with arms crossed, tapping her foot in irritation.

Cecelia hugged her blanket to her chest, cheeks pink and eyes worried.

Kael lay flat on the floor, looking like a man who had fought a thousand battles—and lost.

A nurse knelt beside him. "Is he breathing?"

"Yes," Elysia replied. "Unfortunately."

The nurse checked his pulse. "He fainted because of blood loss... from the nose?"

Elysia nodded. "Yep."

Cecelia shyly raised a finger. "Um... maybe it’s because of me—"

"YES. It is because of you," Elysia said immediately.

"H-Hey!" Cecelia puffed her cheeks. "It’s not my fault if Kael reacted like that..."

Elysia glared at her.

Cecelia shrank. "...Probably..."

The nurse helped Kael sit up.

His eyes opened slightly.
