Chapter 267; Thank you Doctor
CHAPTER 267: CHAPTER 267; THANK YOU DOCTOR
They felt lucky that they had their family together.
"For those young kids, I will make arrangements for them to be absorbed into the orphanage we have just left; we just need to work on the place and put enough security measures on it." From that sigh, he knew Tang Fei was sad about their entire situation but she was powerless, and if she had the capabilities, she would handle them all.
"Thank you." Tang Fei was glad that they could work in that orphanage and handle more kids.
"I will donate too." Xu Xie had money, too; donating a billion wasn’t going to bankrupt her, and a billion was a huge amount of money to handle so many things if managed well.
"You don’t have to give them money; they won’t be able to manage it that well, what you do, every end month, purchase a lot of foodstuffs, clothes, and other educational materials, get two or three teachers you can pay them to teach them while I handle the infrastructure." It is normal human nature to be greedy, and if they received that amount of money, they wouldn’t be able to handle and manage it the way it was supposed to be.
"All right, I will do that, I will let my secretary handle that!" Xu Xie actually didn’t know much when it came to orphanages; she came from a rich family, and her parents adored her. She may not be able to understand their predicament, but she can see the situation they are in and sympathize with them.
"Thank you, Xu Xie... No wonder you are my best friend!" How could Tang Fei’s friend not be kindhearted just like her?
"Hehe..." The atmosphere around them eased a little, Anran was no longer crying and was getting better and better.
The van hummed steadily along the road, headed over to the hospital for her check-up and then distributed the fruits later on that was nestled in boxes marked for the different wards.
Sooner, the van pulled up to the rear entrance of Polaris Medical Pavilion, a private clinic nestled discreetly behind a curtain of bamboo and flowering magnolias.
The facility was known only to those with power and connections, its existence hidden in plain sight. No one of lower social status would get in there or make an appointment.
Huo Wu stepped out first, scanning the area before motioning for the others to get off. Huo Ting Cheng parked the van as Tang Fei alighted and held her hand, still bundled in Minghao’s arms, as she clung silently to her rabbit.
Feihao, Tinghao, and Zhihao trailed behind them with the guards. Their minds were on the tablet. Qin Xinyu and Twilight were checking the place out while Xu Xie just lazied around.
With carefulness, they walked through the pavement over to the building. Others settled down on the lounge while others went over to the reception desk.
The staff greeted them with quiet professionalism. A nurse, who had been already informed and under strict confidentiality, led them through a private corridor into Dr. Lin Qiao’s consultation room.
The doctor who had been notified was already waiting, tall, composed, and his presence reassuring. "Mr. Huo, Mrs Huo... Welcome to my clinic." he greeted them calmly while checking Tang Fei up and down, truly surprised; it was rare to see her; even though he knew Huo Ting Cheng and associated with him closely, he rarely saw his wife. "I have already been briefed about the situation."
He gazed over and looked at the other kids, who resembled each other and had already settled down on the couch. Their facial features were so delicate and beautiful, like their mother, and the only genes they had inherited from their father were those blue eyes that would turn from light to dark, but also their chins and noses.
Huo Ting Cheng nodded once, acknowledging him, "Her safety and comfort are the top-notch priorities at the moment. Just give her face minimal changes that are enough to buy her anonymity. Probably adding a mole or something to her face..."
"All right, let me see what you do!"
Dr. Lin knelt gently in front of Aryana coming face to face with her on the same level, offering her a soft smile to calm her. "Hello there, Anran. May I call you that?"
She hesitated, a minute, two minutes... then gave the smallest nod.
"I’m going to check a few things, just to make sure you are healthy and strong, okay? I promise nothing will hurt in the entire procedure."
To everyone’s quiet surprise, she didn’t resist. Maybe it was the softness of his voice and his safe aura. Or maybe it was Minghao’s hand never leaving hers that gave her some confidence.
Over the next hour, Dr. Lin conducted a thorough but gentle evaluation of her entire body. He spoke softly, explaining each step. He didn’t wear a white coat, just a soft sweater and warm expression making him look cool and approachable.
"No signs of malnutrition or trauma to the skull or face, only a few wounds and bruises.." he stated finally, standing. "She’s in excellent physical condition, considering all health aspects. We will proceed with facial mapping and hair consultation tomorrow. It will be just something minor. She won’t lose her sense of self." He was done conducting an assessment of her.
Tang Fei smiled, visibly relieved. "Thank you, Doctor. We truly appreciate it!"
"All right Li Qiao, she will be brought over tomorrow and make the arrangements." Huo Ting Cheng nodded at him as they left the facility.
"All right, see you tomorrow." He bid them goodbye, and they all left and went over to the lounge, picking others up before exiting the building.
Dr. Lin Qiao leaned back in his leather chair once the consultation room emptied, the subtle echo of their footsteps fading into the quiet hum of the private wing.
He exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair as he picked up his mobile phone, dialed a number he was familiar with, and made a video call.
