CHAPTER 421: CHAPTER 421; HONEYMOON PHASE 3 (G)

Huo Qi waved him back down, dropping onto the couch with a heavy sigh. "Hehe... You are not needed. Just make sure the security level is maximized around the perimeter. No interruptions whatsoever."

"So they’re... fine?" Huo Shen asked with a knowing grin spreading across his face.

"They’re more than fine," Huo Qi replied, running a hand over his face. "Trust me."

Huo Zhen leaned forward, his usually stern expression cracking with curiosity. "Did you actually go in? Did you see anything? How did Master look?"

"I knocked," Huo Qi admitted. "Master answered the door himself."

All three men immediately sat forward, their attention riveted.

"And?" Huo Yu prompted eagerly.

"And he was wearing nothing but a short covering his lower body," Huo Qi said, shaking his head with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. "His hair was completely disheveled, and he had scratches, visible scratches, all down his back and shoulders."

"Scratches?" Huo Shen’s grin widened impossibly further. "Like... nail marks?"

"Exactly like nail marks," Huo Qi confirmed. "Deep ones. Mrs. Huo doesn’t hold back, apparently. Hehehe..."

The room erupted in barely suppressed laughter and knowing looks.

"What did he say?" Huo Zhen asked, trying to maintain some semblance of professionalism but failing.

"He said, and I quote, ’We don’t need anything. Don’t disturb us again until we call.’ Then he just closed the door in my face." Huo Qi shook his head. "But before he did, I caught a glimpse behind him."

"What did you see?" Huo Yu asked, leaning in.

"The entire suite was... well, let’s say they made use of every surface," Huo Qi said diplomatically. "Pillows on the floor, sheets everywhere, furniture moved around. And I could hear Mrs. Huo laughing in the background, that kind of satisfied, happy laugh."

"Was he smiling?" Huo Shen asked eagerly. "Master never smiles."

"He wasn’t just smiling," Huo Qi replied. "He looked... content. Satisfied. Almost smug, actually. Like a cat that caught the canary and then some."

"I told you they wouldn’t come out until lunch time," Huo Zhen said triumphantly. "I knew it. Master’s been restrained for too long. Now he’s got her alone in paradise? He’s making up for lost time."

"Making up for it and then some, apparently," Huo Yu said with a laugh. "Poor Mrs. Huo. I don’t think she could barely walk. So, no going out today!"

" The next time we see her, she will be glowing..."

"That’s what good loving does," Huo Zhen said sagely. "Makes people glow."

"You would know this how?" Huo Yu teased. "When’s the last time you went on a date?"

"Shut up," Huo Zhen muttered, but there was no real heat in it.

Huo Qi pulled out his phone and checked the surveillance feeds, not of the indoors, which had no cameras for privacy reasons, but of the outside. "No movement... They’re definitely lazing in there."

"Doing what, we can only imagine," Huo Shen said with a theatrical sigh. "Meanwhile, we’re out here eating protein bars and drinking bad coffee."

"Such is the life of security detail," Huo Yu said philosophically. "We protect, we serve, we don’t ask questions."

"But we can speculate," Huo Shen insisted. "Come on, you saw the scratches. What else did you notice?"

Huo Qi hesitated, then admitted, "He had a bite mark on his shoulder. Pretty deep one. And what looked like hickeys on his neck."

The room erupted again.

"Mrs. Huo is fierce," Huo Yu said admiringly. "I always knew she had it in her. You don’t survive what she’s survived by being gentle."

"Master probably loves it," Huo Zhen observed. "Man like that, with all his power and control? He probably needs someone who can push back, who can match his intensity."

"More than match it, apparently," Huo Qi said. "The way he looked this morning? Like he’d been thoroughly conquered and loved every second of it."

"Good for them," Huo Shen said, his grin finally fading into something more genuine. "They deserve happiness. Both of them. After everything they’ve been through."

The others nodded in agreement, the mood shifting from playful teasing to real affection for their employers.

"How long do you think before they emerge?" Huo Yu asked.

Huo Qi checked his watch. "It’s ten AM now. I’m betting we don’t see them until at least three or four this afternoon. Maybe later."

"Should we prepare food to have ready?" Huo Zhen asked practically.

"Already arranged," Huo Qi confirmed. "Kitchen staff know to have a full meal ready whenever they call. Could be lunch, could be dinner, could be a midnight snack. We’re prepared for anything."

"Except interrupting them again," Huo Shen said with a laugh. "You learned that lesson."

"Very quickly," Huo Qi agreed ruefully. "Master’s expression when I knocked was... let’s say he was not pleased about the interruption."

"He was probably in the middle of...." Huo Shen began.

"We don’t need details," Huo Zhen interrupted quickly. "Professional boundaries, remember?"

"You’re the one who asked if he was smiling," Huo Shen protested.

"Smiling is different from... that."

"Is it though?" Huo Yu mused. "If the man’s smiling after what’s clearly been an athletic night, we can connect the dots without getting explicit."

"Can we change the subject?" Huo Qi asked, though he was smiling. "I still have to face Master later today. I’d prefer not to have... images in my head."

"Too late," Huo Shen said cheerfully. "We all have images now."

"You’re terrible," Huo Yu told him.

"I’m honest," Huo Shen corrected. "There’s a difference."

Huo Qi’s phone buzzed, and he checked it quickly. "Update from the mansion. Children are fine, Nanny Yun has everything under control, no issues to report."

"Good," Huo Zhen said. "At least something is going smoothly."

"Everything’s going smoothly," Huo Qi corrected. "Master and Mrs. Huo are having their honeymoon, the children are safe and cared for, security is tight, and no threats have emerged. This is exactly what we wanted."

"True," Huo Yu agreed. "It’s just weird seeing Master so... human. So happy. So willing to just... let go and be with someone."
