CHAPTER 103: CHAPTER 103: TRUTH OR DARE

Victoria walked with Matthias around the venue, which was attended by high-society guests. This was what made Victoria still a little nervous. Even though she had heard Matthias’ motivational speech, she still felt unworthy of attending this party. What was making her so insecure? Because she often heard the insults her stepmother often threw at her. She was fed up with her life of constant humiliation. Furthermore, now that she was friends with a perfectionist CEO, it made her feel even more stressed.

Matthias picked up a chocolate cupcake for her, making her eyes widen. "You eat this cupcake first."

Victoria also gave Matthias a strawberry cupcake. "You should eat some too."

"Thank you, Victoria. Ever since you gave me cupcakes, I’ve been loving them."

"Do you still feel awkward now after hearing what I said earlier?"

"No. I’m more confident now thanks to you. Thank you, Matthias."

"Smile, Victoria."

Victoria’s smile widened, though she felt increasingly awkward being treated so sweetly by the perfectionist CEO. She found it impossible for him to suddenly like her, even though they’d only just become friends. Besides, the perfectionist CEO had never been attracted to any woman. She wasn’t one of the women Matthias would like.

"I must smile in front of you?"

"Because you look pretty if you smile."

"Really?" Victoria tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Actually, no one has told me to smile all this time. They actually thought my smile was a fake smile."

"They’re really too much! Anyway, I want you to keep smiling to show your warm personality to everyone here."

Victoria and Matthias embarked on another adventure around the outdoor venue. They preferred staying outdoors to indoors because Matthias admitted that being indoors made his chest feel tight.

As they were wandering around enjoying the various food options, several men and women suddenly blocked their way, making Victoria feel awkward. This was especially true since the group of young men and women were much classier than her.

"Wow, Matthias! I never thought you’d get a woman to sleep with you," one of the young men drinking champagne quipped.

"Don’t just talk nonsense, Leo!" Matthias said sharply.

A sexy woman in a red dress looked at Victoria from head to toe. "You have really bad taste."

"Watch your mouth, Lise! She’s my friend!"

"Well then, how about we play a truth or dare game?" Leo suggested with a sly smile.

Matthias raised his head arrogantly. "Okay, I won’t be afraid!"

Victoria had a bad feeling while playing the dare game. She was now sitting opposite Matthias, surrounded by strange men and women. Her expression was innocent, as if she didn’t understand the purpose of the game. She just wanted to end it and go home. She was increasingly uneasy about Matthias’s purpose in inviting her here. Was he trying to use her as a tool?

Now it was Leo’s turn to spin the empty wine bottle at full speed. As the bottle focused on Lise, Lise’s expression immediately brightened.

"I’m the one who got hit this time."

"Then, do you want to do the challenge I gave you or tell the truth?"

Lise nodded. "Of course, I’m not afraid to tell the truth. Because why would I lie?"

"Then, let me ask you a question. Are you engaged?"

Lise’s gaze fell on a young man drinking alone next to Matthias. "My fiancé seems to be busy drinking champagne."

Not only Lise was focused on the young man, everyone else was doing the same, including Matthias and Victoria.

"Wow, I didn’t think you’d dare to speak so openly, Lise!"

"Because I’m going to marry Raymond soon. I don’t need to hide it from you any longer."

Leo nodded. "Okay, since you’ve come clean, I wonder who’s going to get it." He spun the empty wine bottle again, and it finally landed on Matthias. "Oh, it’s your turn, Matthias!"

Matthias smiled sarcastically at his friend. "I want to answer honestly. Can you ask me a question right now?"

"Okay then, let Lise ask you since she has already passed the hurdle."

Lise smiled slyly, crossing her legs haughtily. "Have you ever liked a woman?"

Several women also nodded in response to Lise’s question. "That’s right, we’ve never seen you dating."

"Moreover, you once said you weren’t interested in women. We even thought you were gay."

Matthias raised his right eyebrow as he looked at everyone playing the game. "You’re wrong. I actually like a woman."

Everyone who participated was immediately excited to hear the answer beyond their expectations, especially Leo and Lise.

"Who is she? Is the woman you like here?" Leo asked.

"Yes, she is here."

"How about you prove it to us? If you really like her, you should kiss her."

"Correct!"

"Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!"

Victoria didn’t want to be like the people here who kept pressuring Matthias. She preferred to remain silent and stare at him, who was watching her with an intense gaze. Her feelings were growing increasingly uneasy. Why was Matthias looking at her with such a different look than usual? Especially when he suddenly leaned his head closer to her face.

Matthias kissed her lips for a few seconds, causing everyone to scream hysterically. However, she was incredibly awkward, sharing her first kiss with a perfectionist CEO in full view of everyone. As Matthias broke the kiss, she immediately clutched her chest, feeling her heart pounding.

"I’ve already proven it. Do you still dare accuse me of being gay?" Matthias asked arrogantly.

"I’m so jealous of Victoria. Every woman in the world wants to be your girlfriend, but you chose her," Lise replied, glaring at Victoria with an annoyed look.

"If you guys are done, can you let me and Victoria go home?"

"Do you want to sleep with her now?" Leo quipped.

"You don’t need to interfere in my business!" Matthias quickly got up from the chair then grabbed Victoria’s hand tightly and left the area.

Victoria was extremely irritated by the situation. As they passed through a secluded area, Victoria abruptly released her grip. She glared at the perfectionist CEO with a grimace, as she had stained her lips.

"Did you invite me here just to use me?!"
