CHAPTER 105: CHAPTER 105: HAVING FUN WITH PERFECTIONIST CEO

Because Victoria managed to finish her work on time, Matthias had promised to take her out for some fun. She really liked the way Matthias treated her with affection, even though he always abused her about work. She admitted that Matthias deliberately abused her so they could stay together no matter what.

Now Matthias is taking her to a theme park for fun. However, Matthias’s goal isn’t to play; he wants to enjoy the beautiful night sky from the Ferris wheel.

Victoria, on the other hand, didn’t want to ride the Ferris wheel just yet. She preferred to take her husband on the carousel first while waiting for the line to thin out. She knew Matthias had never been on a carousel before, given his perfectionist and arrogant personality. Now she wanted to give him a taste of the fun of riding a carousel at a theme park.

Matthias looked awkward as he tried to mount one of the horses. He was especially surprised to see the children eager to play. His cheeks were flushed, as he wasn’t used to playing with children.

Meanwhile, Victoria laughed at him, waving her hand. "Matthias, don’t tell me you’ve never been on a merry-go-round."

"I’ve never been on a merry-go-round. I’m being honest now."

"I thought you were a CEO as cold as a refrigerator, there’s no way you’d want to play on a kiddie ride. You will hate it."

As the merry-go-round spun around, Victoria waved and smiled brightly at Matthias. "Matthias, this is so much fun!"

Matthias also smiled brightly, gripping Victoria’s hand tightly. "I love playing with you too, it’s so much fun. Of course, I don’t hate it, you’re wrong."

Victoria’s heart skipped a beat as she was met with Matthias’s loving gaze. Although what they were doing now seemed simple, she truly enjoyed playing with him. She hoped they could maintain their friendship like this. She didn’t expect him to like her, as he had such high standards that women in this world had always failed to win her heart.

Now they moved up the Ferris wheel to enjoy the night sky dotted with twinkling stars. They sat facing each other in the small room. Victoria didn’t feel awkward, as she loved seeing the stars clearly without being disturbed.

"Do you really like looking at the stars?" Matthias asked with a beaming smile.

"Of course. But it’s a shame it’s a bit difficult to enjoy the stars before sleep because of the air pollution in this city."

"Therefore, I invite you to ride the Ferris wheel to see the stars."

"Matthias, do you like stargazing too?"

"Of course I really like it. Especially if I see it with you."

Victoria’s heart skipped a beat as Matthias directly confessed his love to her. Her smile widened as she heard it. Her right hand gripped Matthias’s hand tightly.

"I also like looking at the stars with you."

"Do you know the reason I chose you when playing the challenge game?"

Victoria laughed awkwardly. "It was so long ago, though. I didn’t expect you to still be so over it."

"How could I forget that easily, when I’ve liked you since then. That’s why I chose you out of all the women."

"Matthias..."

Matthias kissed the back of Victoria’s hand for a few seconds. "It was the first time I fell in love with a woman without thinking twice. I kissed you then because you were the woman worthy of being my girlfriend."

"But, I was just an ordinary woman compared to all the women at the party that time."

"It’s precisely because you’re an ordinary woman that I like you so much. I once told you that I like women who treat me sincerely. Rather than those who always give me things only to take advantage of me."

"I like you too because you’re the only man who’s been truly kind to me. I’m sorry I thought of you as a jerk back then."

Matthias shook his head quickly. "It’s okay. I’m not mad about it. I know you were shocked when I kissed you so suddenly."

"Because it was my first kiss."

"Really? Does that mean you’ve never dated anyone?"

Victoria nodded. "I’ve always kept my lips clean. But I never expected a prince to kiss me for the first time."

Hearing those sweet words, Matthias immediately kissed her red lips as the Ferris wheel stopped at the top. The beautiful night sky, dotted with twinkling stars, added to the romantic atmosphere of the couple. They kissed for a long time, channeling their love for each other, before Matthias finished by kissing his lover’s forehead.

Now Victoria shifted her position, sitting next to her lover. She rested her head on his shoulder.

"Victoria, I’m sorry I’ve been torturing you lately by working at my house. I’ve actually been doing this so I can see you as much as I want."

"Actually, I’ve been missing you a lot lately. I even made a special plan just so I could see you."

"Really?"

"I’ve been having trouble finding time lately because I have so many clients meeting with me. But don’t worry, to meet you, I’ll devise a strategy to stop you from hating me." Victoria kissed her lover deeply on the lips.

"Hearing you speak honestly, I understand how you feel and I never hated you."

Back in the present, Victoria remembers all the sweet moments she’s had with Matthias, leading up to her visit to the theme park. She shared many beautiful memories with Matthias in the past, but she quickly forgot them due to the accident. She blames herself, causing her tears to increase every time she remembers her past.

"Matthias, I miss you so much. How stupid of me to forget all those beautiful memories."

In fact, from a distance, Matthias had also been secretly monitoring his wife. He had suspected she would visit all the places they had visited in the past. Watching her sobbing broke his heart. He wanted to comfort her, but now wasn’t the time to be so obvious.
