Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas
Chapter 271: He really went crazy
CHAPTER 271: HE REALLY WENT CRAZY
The sharp sound of the impact echoed in the dusty music room, and I watched him while I heaved heavily as reality slowly began to hit me and the damage became clear to me.
I... I was the lunatic here.
How could I just slap him? And not only that, I headbutted him hard on his head.
My head was enough to give anyone a concussion, I believed.
Was I going to be all right in this school?
I doubt it.
Well, since we were already here, I’d best speak my mind. Whatever the consequences were, it wouldn’t change with just a few more words.
"I... I’m not a toy for you to play with," I said, my voice shaking with rage, fear, and... hell, I knew I was done for.
My heart thumped hard against my chest like it wanted to get out and not be a part of whatever was going to happen afterwards.
But just when I was expecting the worst, maybe a hit back or a hiss of dissatisfaction, he started laughing.
Did he really get a concussion?
His head must be more twisted than it originally was.
He laughed softly, without a hint of mockery, and then looked at me, his eyes as sharp as ever, but his lip was torn and his nose was bleeding.
Aish, I did it this time.
"You... You’re definitely unpredictable," he said, looking as if he had won the lottery.
Gosh, how bad was the concussion?
"I’ve never forced anyone past a certain point," he said. "And if this level of enticing can’t convince you to bend over..."
He stepped back, hands raised like he was giving in to a surrender.
"Then I’ll just take a step back. And watch you."
That grin that spread on his face after he said that, that slow, wild, and dangerous grin, it made my skin tingle and the feeling of danger lingered.
"I’ll see how long your walls last, Jo-Pil," he suddenly said, cleaning the blood from his nose with his sleeve, and then coolly put his hands in his pocket like nothing had happened.
Then he turned and walked towards the door.
"I think it’ll be worth the watch." With that, he whistled his way out of there like nothing had happened.
The door clicked shut, and then my knees gave in.
With my back sliding on the wall, my body crumbled to the floor and I covered my face in dismay.
What... What had just happened?
"What the hell...?" I whispered under my breath to no one, my hand over my mouth as if in disbelief. "He really went crazy," I murmured, and then dropped my head.
I pursed my lips, my eyebrows and forehead both creased with unease.
This... wasn’t gonna get me on a wanted list, was it?
I wouldn’t be surprised if I suddenly opened my locker the next day and found a red card flying out.
(F4 shit. Lol.)
I decided to get my act together and just prepare for the worst. I mean, I was already experiencing so much shit in this school ever since getting their attention, a little more wouldn’t kill me.
I managed to get to my feet and sighed, picking up my bag so I could head out.
I touched the hair in front of my face and fiddled with it a little.
"My life is ruined as it is," I exclaimed, and then headed out.
Some time passed after that... encounter.
And throughout, for fear that I would get into contact or make mere eye contact, I kept my head down.
My nerves were on full alert the whole time, but I was doing a great job pretending I was fine.
I mean, no one would care if I suddenly broke down anyway. I would be giving the Alphas a fun piece to watch, if anything.
And I didn’t want that. So I buckled up and acted like everything was nothing more than a raging wind against my ear.
And thankfully, I was able to avoid most troubles, and trouble didn’t find me either.
But of course, peace is always short-lived just when you think it’s been great.
That weekend, the elites decided to ’relax’ and let loose.
They threw a party on the rooftop of the main campus building. Of course they would.
I mean, they were literally elites who did this all the time. And it wasn’t just any party.
It was a cozy, glittering gathering under the stars, sparkling glasses of champagne, and a carefully curated orchestra.
And don’t ask me where they got the money to get that.
There was a bar serving imported drinks, and someone had hired a private chef to serve hors d’oeuvres that probably cost more than my rent, if I owned a place to myself. Just saying.
The word ’elite’ should’ve been spelled out a few times already.
It was the kind of evening that made them feel like gods above mortals, literally, with the whole city shimmering beneath them like it existed solely for their pleasure.
Just look at those fake smiles, those cackles, and those fancy and expensive outfits. So materialistic.
They were such hypocrites, acting like they were friends with everyone high up when their insides were so black, and the only thing they thought about was themselves and their own interests.
It was the kind of party that was both boring and exciting. Boring because these people had done it all before. Exciting because they were always one scandal away from making headlines in the school papers.
You should see the load of bullshit the school press drops on those cheats. And they’re literally a club who can’t be touched since their activities are being funded by Seo-Jun himself.
These sorts of dirty scandals were worth reading first thing in the morning.
You know who else loves to read about these scandals? Jin-Yeok.
The gentleman with a nice mask on and a maniacal smirk behind that mask.
Since Seo-Jun was funding the club, his own dirty deeds weren’t written down there. Not that he was trying to keep anything a secret, since he naturally loves the attention. They just do it out of fear and respect since he’s one of the four Alphas.
You’ll never see a dirty scandal in the school papers concerning the Alphas.
And that’s probably why I haven’t been on the news yet. I mean, there was something about me, but not in a bad light, since if it came out that the Alphas and I were involved, they would ruin themselves.
So the only thing about me you’d find in the papers are speculations and stuff like that.
Phew. That’s one saving grace.
Anyway, not everyone was invited to this elegantly thrown party, of course. The school liked to pretend it was inclusive and didn’t discriminate, but the welfare students knew better.
They weren’t excluded, not officially, but the invites just never reached them.
Even if they did, they knew their place and wouldn’t dare step foot on those floors, lest they be accused of dirtying the floors.
How pitiful.
Anyway, though it’s not stated that I’m a welfare student, because I apparently paid all the bills. Ahem, the Alphas’ father paid the bills on my behalf, but whatever, it still registers as me paying the bills.
But for some reason, I wasn’t invited.
No surprise there, right?
I mean, I’m literally an outcast who acts arrogantly but feels no different from the commoners.
So long as I can’t confidently state my family’s name and the businesses they own, I’m a commoner in their sight.
But then again... I was somehow standing in the midst of this party, reluctantly dressed in a white suit with a golden brooch.
Don’t ask me. I didn’t get it for myself and I don’t know who did either.
I guess the news that I wasn’t invited got out, and one of the Alphas, or all of them, since they would all very much like to watch me humiliate myself at this party, saw to that.
What’s a party without the most fun piece, right?
Ugh. So sickening.
It was like they needed something, or someone rather, to shine some light into their spoiled little gathering. Something unpredictable. A rabbit tossed into a den of wolves just to see what would happen.
And so that morning, I got a box that seemed to contain an expensive outfit and an invitation.
The butler who dropped it off, I didn’t even know they were allowed to come with their butlers, said these words to me:
"Endeavor to be there on time. It’s for your own good."
That little warning, that sounded more like a threat than a well-wish, gave me the chills and I felt cold blood run through my vein.
It didn’t indicate which of the Alphas it was, but I was sure it was one of them. If not, who else would want to see me at this party?
I gave it a hard and long thought before actually deciding to go. The Alphas were unpredictably predictable. But it was a problem if I didn’t know which of them was behind this.
So I decided to find out at the party and ask them. For whatever reason they wanted me there, whether to humiliate me or show me the difference between their worlds and mine, I would find out.
(Now, who could’ve sent it? Any guesses?)
