Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas
Chapter 295: I commend you all for your ’services’
CHAPTER 295: I COMMEND YOU ALL FOR YOUR ’SERVICES’
I leaned a little to the side, peeking at them from behind Hae-Jin’s shoulder, and let my smile curve wider in a sharp grin.
"My! You’re all so noisy. Is this what you do in your free time in the office? I think I might have to tell Seo-Jun about this, haha."
This caused them to snap.
"You...! How dare you call the boss by his name?" Someone asked while the poised red lipstick lady stared in shock.
"Why not? Seo-Jun insisted I call him that way." I said and shrugged my shoulders. "He gets so touchy when he gets clingy and pleads so I had to agree."
They were dumbstruck.
Seo-Jun... pleaded?
Surely, they didn’t expect that. They just found out that the mighty Seo-Jun, who never looked back at a partner and only saw them as a tool to vent his sexual frustration, of course, they would be baffled.
"You..." The guy from earlier, the one who spoke after the red lipstick lady pointed his finger at me, but I was half hidden behind Hae-Jin, so there was no issue. "How dare you make up nonsense?"
Ah, so they think I’m talking nonsense.
"Well, you can believe whatever you want to," I said. "It’s not like it’ll take anything out of me if you doubt me to the ends of the Earth."
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
And in a company filled with Shameless employees, and operated by a shameless leader, one has to be shameless to get through it.
"But are you sure you’ll be okay, though?" I asked, folding my arms. "You’re all circling around like you’re entitled to know what happens between me and him instead of working like you’re being paid to." That should sting. "I know a few of you must’ve had a taste of the forbidden fruit and couldn’t get over it, so you’re now feeling a sense of danger knowing someone has come to claim the entire tree, but tell me..." My eyes sharpened as I looked at them like a viper ready to strike. "Do you think that there was ever a second option after you followed or rather, lured Seo-Jun into bed? Did you think you’d gain some sort of power and control just because he spread your legs a couple of times? Or..." I stifled a laugh. "...did you just take the crumbs he offered and call it affection?"
My words had broken as well as angered most of them. The reality must’ve set in a long time ago but they were all too stubborn to accept it
Knowing they were nothing but fish in a pond taken out when needed and out back when useless, they wanted to do more to be noticed by the owner. They wanted to catch his attention through any means.
Seeing as no one was saying anything, I pressed on, enjoying the way they twisted their lips and twitched. I was able to tell among them who had spread their legs for Seo-Jun with their movements and to be honest, there were a ton of them.
And this made me even angrier.
"I commend you all for your ’services’. I mean, it was really a nice sacrifice. And he’ll probably come back to you sometime in the future but that’s that. That’s where you’ll ever belong. In the shadow of his bedroom."
Maybe not the bedroom in his home but it was still his bedroom if that was where he took his partners often.
A low hiss came from someone at the back. The tension coiled tighter.
"You’re one to talk." They spoke up and then pushed through the crowd to show themselves.
It was a male. He was an Omega. I could tell that much. But not the kind that had a high affinity with Alphas and could bear a child.
How’d I know that?
Seo-Jun might’ve already taken him for himself if he were someone who could at least bear a child for him.
This guy was recessive.
I tilted my head, smirking as I ducked back behind Hae-Jin, perfectly shielded.
"And why so?"
"You’re yapping non-stop, calling the Boss by his name, and calling the rest of us side pieces. But then what are you?" He asked, his fists clenched. "Aren’t you very much a side piece who climbed his way to the top?"
Oh my, would you look at this?
"Just because the boss favors you now, it doesn’t mean you won’t lose favor soon. Stop making a big deal out of it and stay in your place, you whore! You’re just like the rest of us."
Wow, oh wow. This was the second time I was being called a whore today.
I looked at Hae-Jin who looked red in the face, like he was holding his breath. He probably got triggered by the word ’whore’ haha.
"You," I decided to get out of the protection and stood in front of Hae-Jin.
"It’s dangerous," Hae-Jin said but I shook my head.
"No, it’s fine." I’m confident I can at least take down one flimsy Omega.
We’re both frail creatures, but there was a clear distinction between the two of us.
"You," I stood in front of him. "What’s your name?"
"I won’t tell you." He said, and I grinned. How smart of you.
"Well, Mister I won’t tell you, do you want to know something?" I asked and then brushed his shoulder as if there was dust. "I know you’ve slept with Seo-Jun," I said over a wide grin that didn’t seem like I was offended and he didn’t hide the fact either.
"Yeah, so what?"
I don’t know why but I’m having so much fun toying with them.
"There are so many differences between you and me. One, I’m so much prettier than you," I laughed. "Two, Seo-Jun walked in with me, hand in hand. Not you. So maybe take the hint and know the difference between being in favor and being special."
"That’s because..."
"Oh, and don’t come up with a tale that says it’s because you’re an Employee and Seo-Jun probably didn’t want to ruin the balance in the office because that would just be you deceiving yourself to the bitter end," I said and dropped my hands on his shoulders. "You know it too, don’t you?" I leaned closer and whispered. "You’re not the only one who thinks their special in this place. There are over five more who spend at least five nights with Seo-Jun here."
My words dripped with venom, reckless and cutting, but I felt untouchable. Not just because Hae-Jin was behind me. But because most of the things I said were so true that it paralyzed them.
The truth stung them like a bee and bit them like a mosquito.
I inched back and smiled at him.
"Do you finally get it? The one who stands beside Seo-Jun even in public will end up being the final victor."
My words held a bitter truth that made this guy tremble in front of me.
I almost felt sorry for him.
Well, almost.
Instead, I decided to fan the flame a bit more.
"And do you know? One more thing that makes both our attempts so different," I leaned in and whispered. "Unlike you, I’ve never spread my legs for Seo-Jun."
His eyes widened, and his reaction was definitely the cherry on the cake.
I felt so satisfied and felt this should be enough for today.
But as I turned around to leave, the enraged and shameful group surged forward again. It was as if they wanted to throw out the truth by hurting me.
If they hurt me, if they could even lay a finger on me, then they would feel better. It would be as if none of this ever happened and they could continue to shoot their shots at Seo-Jun, but Hae-Jin shifted, shielding me with his hardened stance.
He spoke with a voice that was like a cold blade, much different from what he sounded like until now.
"Try it," he warned, his dark eyes getting ready to break something. "Take one step closer and see what happens."
Ah, I guess that ends this episode.
It felt so refreshing talking trash to a bunch of nobodies who think they’re entitled to my man.
Oops, did I say ’my’ man?
No one heard that, right?
Anyway, time to go get that coffee.
They could only watch with gritted teeth and trembling bodies as I walked away with Hae-Jin behind me.
’This was so fun. I should probably come out more often.’ I thought and waved my hand as the elevator door closed.
In no less than an hour, the news of my confrontation had circulated the entire company.
It was no news that Seo-Jun had several flings among his employees, and they all threw themselves at him. Everyone wanted to become the mistress of the Sun family and have Seo-Jun all to themselves.
But for someone who never picked favorites among the thousands of people who threw themselves on him, they found it difficult to advance forward.
And yet... Here was someone claiming to be his special one. He appeared out of nowhere.
I was the center of all of this and while Hae-Jin read them to me, I couldn’t stop laughing.
It was hilarious.
It was like reading a novel and I couldn’t wait for the next part.
