Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas
Chapter 381: A letter?
CHAPTER 381: A LETTER?
"Atta girl," I clasped my hands together.
Turns out, she’s not too bad. And we seem to have a great affinity. If things go well, we might be able to become friends. Well, with no external interruption, that is.
I have a few big babies who’d like to keep me to themselves, so I’ll need to ’breastfeed’ them till they actually feel good enough to let me have someone so close and not get jealous.
As if that’s even possible.
Well, I’ll figure it out along the way.
"Anyway, you said Jin-Yeok sent you on an errand? What is it?" I asked, and she snapped, feeling flustered that it had completely slipped her mind.
"Ah, right. I apologize. I was getting way over my head just now."
Jie-Yu picked up her purse, and her little fluttering attitude caused me to smile. She wasn’t the cold-hearted matriarch who was out to ruin the four great families.
But really, what did they do to her?
I didn’t know much of the details since I wasn’t too interested in the livelihood of my abusers, but I do know she gave them quite the headache. They were able to wear her down in the end.
Even if it was their win, she had left a mark. Truly remarkable.
Anyway, she was quite cute when flustered too. Like a cartoon character, I could draw with sweats and flustered lines across her face. She’ll definitely be fun to play with.
As soon as that thought crossed my mind, I snapped.
That train of thought... Was it actually Min-Cheol corrupting me and not the other way around? Ngh!
"He gave me a letter to give to you," she said, taking the letter out of her purse and stretching it towards me.
A letter? That’s quite old-fashioned, Jin-Yeok, but I’ll take it regardless.
I accepted the letter and opened it.
I can tell it’s not a forged letter since it had Jin-Yeok’s seal: an eagle with both wings spread and then two sabres crossed over it.
Even the seal looked Mafia-like, haha.
The letter read:
"To my darling Jo-Pil," How flashy. "Since I discarded my phone a while back, I’ve decided to communicate with you this way. Don’t worry, I’ll pick it up soon, and then you can call me as much as you want."
Hm, as if I had that in mind from the start.
"Anyway, in one night, I found a settlement area where the slaves you bought can settle while I bring in others from across the country."
He’s working hard, but he seems to be forgetting he used ’his’ own money to pay. Well, whatever. His money is mine anyway.
"I will meticulously carry out the task you gave me and yield the desired results. But even at this point, I miss the softness of your lips, the sweet scent emanating from your body, and how your words curled into my heart as you spoke the words, ’Daddy’. It causes my soul to rage and—"
I dropped the letter for a bit, covering my face as heat rushed up, causing me to feel both embarrassment and shame.
This man... could he not act like a helpless romantic from the sixties?
But even when I felt this stream of shame and embarrassment, I couldn’t help but feel my racing heart at the theme he was setting.
Reminds me of a novel I read.
I... I always wondered what it felt like to receive a love letter. This is too cute.
"Is something wrong?" Jie-Yu asked.
She didn’t know if to speak since I was reading a letter from my lover, but the way I covered my face and...
I slowly dropped my hands, taking in deep breaths to calm my heart.
"It’s nice," I said, smiling at her, and a Cupid’s arrow shot at her heart right at that moment.
Ah, wait, no. That was not my intention. I just look pretty when I smile, that’s all.
I continued to read the letter.
"I might not be done by next week, but I’ll be able to return, because it is essential that I attend the cooperation between the brat and Ki-Hoon."
Oh my, that’s quite harsh. But this means I’ll see him then, right? Thank God.
"With love, Jin-Yeok." He concluded.
It surprised me that he didn’t leave anything about the massage oil. Then, it only means he didn’t think I would find out so soon. Or maybe he wants to explain in person?
Well, I’ll ask him when I get the chance.
I was about to fold the letter when I saw a little writing at the bottom corner:
"P.S., I’ll take care of things concerning the girl that saved you. I am in her debt, after all."
Wow, this means her issue is more or less settled.
"Did he tell you?" I asked her, but she looked at me, puzzled.
"What? Tell me what?"
"Jin-Yeok plans to take care of your issue," I announced, waving the letter quite proudly. "So you have little to nothing more to worry about."
She covered her mouth, speechless.
"Is that true?" she asked, and I folded my arms, feeling proud. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
I don’t know what her issue is, but it seemed like it was a big mess for her to be this touched and weeping once again. Well, it’s settled now.
I should take this chance to be connected with her so I can know more about what’s going on in the outside world.
"Anyway, do you have urgent things to take care of?" I asked, and she once again looked at me, confused. "Why don’t you stay here for a couple of days?"
Her eyes widened.
"Are you being serious?"
"Well, I’ll have to ask permission first, but I think it should be fine," I said, and then someone snatched my letter from behind.
"Permission for what? Let me see." It was Seo-Jun, the troublemaker.
Had he recovered enough to come mess with me already?
"Hey, that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s my letter," I said, kneeling on the couch and stretching my arm to take it, but he simply stretched his arms higher while reading it.
"Wow, it’s a love letter," he said, looking in awe. "Been a long time since I got one of these."
"No one’s sending you love letters if you’re going to act like a pervert all the time," I said, and he sniggered at me.
"Are you sure you won’t send me love letters, Jo-Pil?" he asked, but then his eyes caught the word I was hoping he wouldn’t find out.
