CHAPTER 214: CHAPTER 154: THE REAL WORLD MAP_3

They had missed an experience they could talk about for a lifetime.

After learning about these things, Jason remained confused, but he nodded to show he roughly understood and signaled Alka to continue.

Alka continued, "Today at the Archbishop’s, not only did I learn why the Treasures repulse each other, but also more about other matters."

He then shared his conversation with the Archbishop with everyone and asked if they were willing to take on this task.

"Of course, we have to accept."

"Yeah, this is definitely worth it."

"That’s right."

Seeing that everyone agreed, Alka nodded.

"I’ll go find Bobby upstairs and ask him to relay our decision tomorrow."

With that, Alka headed directly upstairs.

In a small lounge upstairs, he saw Bobby, Andre, and Vanessa.

The three of them were chatting and laughing about something.

When Alka entered, they looked at him, puzzled.

"Are you all done talking?" Bobby asked.

Alka nodded, then went over to Bobby and told him what needed to be relayed.

After listening, Bobby gave him a curious glance, then a thick briefcase appeared in his hand.

The brown briefcase had green pinstripes and the emblem of the Holy Mother Church on it.

Bobby handed the briefcase directly to Alka and said, "The Archbishop found me this afternoon and asked me to give this to you. He said you would certainly agree and mentioned he has already informed the shipyard. You can take the documents inside and sail the ship right over."

Receiving the briefcase, Alka was slightly stunned but nodded anyway.

"Thanks."

With that, he hurried downstairs, briefcase in hand.

Downstairs, the others hadn’t dispersed yet and were sitting by the sofa, sharing some of their experiences with Jason.

Seeing Alka return with the briefcase, they all looked at him in confusion.

Alka silently placed the briefcase on the coffee table and said slowly, "This is the information and documentation we need."

"The Archbishop anticipated we would agree, so he had already given these to Bobby."

They weren’t surprised by the Archbishop’s foresight. As the foremost mystic, pulling off some uncanny feats was perfectly normal for him.

Besides, he was a genuine mystic.

"Shall we open it and take a look?" Chadite asked.

Alka nodded and opened the briefcase.

Inside was a thick stack of documents, some maps, and a parchment scroll.

This scroll was likely the authorization needed to get assistance from the shipyard.

Everyone picked up the materials and began to examine them.

As they read, they all grew perplexed.

It was so vastly different from their current understanding of the world that it left them momentarily bewildered.

Alka looked at the documents in his hand.

Yet, his heart filled with excitement.

So this is what the world is really like?

It’s so vastly different from what I initially imagined.

Because this world wasn’t whole at all. It was a shattered world, barely held together by the efforts of four Divines.

Or perhaps, it had only undergone simple repairs.

According to the documents, long ago, in the Ancient Times, for reasons unknown, a massive war erupted, causing the world to shatter into fragments.

The entire world collapsed.

Some former Divines departed, and many others fell. Only four Divines, who out of love for humanity and compassion for their suffering, remained in this world.

They sought to save the peoples of the world.

Ultimately, they succeeded, but only in part.

Using the primordial Ocean as a foundation, they transformed the former continental fragments into countless islands, painstakingly piecing them together to maintain what was left.

Subsequently, the salvaged world was divided into four regions.

These four Divines were the Holy Mother, the Wise One, the Sea God, and Divine Life.

Each took charge of one region, maintaining the world’s normal functions according to their own philosophies and powers.

They were all Divines who had chosen to stay, Divines who cared deeply for their believers and their people.

This also led them to no longer trust other Divines. They maintained and shaped the world according to their own will.

The sea region they currently inhabited was called the Muhalat Homeland Sea, also known as the Northern Homeland Sea.

This was the same area marked on the world map Alka had first encountered.

It is controlled by the Holy Mother. Besides the Holy Mother, the only other divine presence of significance is the Sea God, who provides the very foundation of this sea domain.

However, the Sea God does not proselytize. Therefore, it is generally only the merfolk and inhabitants of some islands who worship the Ocean that actively revere Him.

Only some merfolk islands have sanctums dedicated to the Sea God.

This is the sea that Pororo worships. Worshiping the sea is tantamount to worshiping the Sea God, and in a world predominantly covered by seawater, such faith is hardly scarce.

Therefore, the Sea God never actively proselytizes. He provided the world’s foundation, and His followers are spread across the Four Seas.

His followers can be found in each of the other three Divines’ domains; this is inevitable, and the other Divines do not deliberately suppress this.

The other three Divines can also preach within the Sea God’s domain; He doesn’t interfere.

This is a tacit understanding among the four Divines.

And all this information was laid out plainly in the documents, with no sense that it was disrespectful to reveal such truths.

Between the domains of the four Divines lay remnants of the cataclysmic storms from the world’s shattering, making direct passage between them impossible.

This led to the current state of separation.

Moreover, the fragments of the former world hadn’t completely dispersed; instead, they were bound together by seawater.

This formed the Endless Sea, stretching eternally into the distance, even reaching towards the starry cosmos.

This resulted in the world having an exceptionally strange structure.

And one of the maps depicted the general appearance of this world.

It was this map, in particular, that delivered a profound shock to everyone.

The world was C-shaped. Upon seeing its configuration, even Alka was dumbfounded.

It wasn’t flat with a round sky, nor was it spherical—it’s C-shaped!

A C-shaped world, floating in the cosmos... how truly bizarre.

The top of the ’C,’ its northernmost point, was the region they currently occupied, also known as the Northern Homeland Sea.

Further down, separated by a rift, lay the Sea of All Beings, the domain where Lucilia and Julia resided, controlled by Divine Life.

Below that was the Wise One’s domain, the Ocean of Enlightenment, which was also where the Holy Machine Church was located.

The bottom end of the ’C,’ the southernmost part, was the Sea God’s domain: the Southern Storm Sea.

The waters of the Endless Sea were primarily supplied by the Sea God’s domain, though world rifts also acted as barriers.

This outflowing seawater cascaded downwards in a straight line.

It was like a calligraphy brush, heavily laden with ink, had drawn a ’C’ and then pressed down firmly at the end of the lower curve, causing the ink to drip straight down.

Viewed as a whole, it somewhat resembled an iron pillar topped with a ’C’.

World rifts existed between each sea domain, making interaction between them exceedingly difficult.

However, each domain also had a narrow passage connecting it to an outermost region. A single sea route linked all these domains before flowing out into the Endless Sea.

And this was their only path to the outside world.
