Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 226 - 158 Returning Home_3
CHAPTER 226: CHAPTER 158 RETURNING HOME_3
He crossed his hands and began praying for the two of them.
After finishing, he bid farewell to Parker Kqi and walked along the path towards his yard.
As he passed by Aunt Marsi’s house, the door was still closed.
He happened to see Siegert at his yard gate; Siegert seemed puzzled as to why the yard gate was open and was about to check if a thief had broken in.
"Siegert!"
Hearing a call from beside him, Siegert turned his head. His expression turned to one of pleasant surprise, and he quickly ran over to give Alka a tight hug.
"Why are you back? Long time no see! You seem taller, and definitely stronger."
"You too. How have you been?"
"How else could I be? It’s no different than usual. Quick, tell me, have you had any good treasure hunting experiences during this time?" Siegert asked with an interested expression. Alka had been away for a year; he must have had many experiences.
Alka nodded. He stood at the yard gate and chatted with him for quite a while, until dusk fell.
Looking at the sky, Alka asked, "Why haven’t I seen your mother?"
"Mom and the others went with a merchant ship to Tulan Island this time," Siegert replied. "Based on their schedule, they should return by tomorrow afternoon."
"Really? That’s a pity." Alka felt slightly regretful. It seems I won’t be able to see Aunt Marsi this time. Hopefully, she won’t complain the next time I return.
"What’s wrong? Are you leaving again today?" Siegert couldn’t help but ask.
Alka nodded. "My teammates are still waiting for me. I was just passing through, so I came to take a look."
"Is that ship at the port yours? It’s different from the last one."
"Something happened."
Then Alka waved his hand, interrupting their conversation. A book and a Golden Bracelet, adorned with two Gemstones, suddenly appeared in his hand.
"Didn’t I promise to bring you a Treasure I found last time? Here, this is it. Take it."
This Golden Bracelet was a Magic Item that didn’t require Magic Power to use. It could enhance the user’s physique and strengthen their hand power, making it very suitable for Siegert. As for the book, it simply recorded some things about the Extraordinary World. It also narrated his experiences during this period and could be considered an introductory manual—an introductory manual for a Treasure Seeker.
"Siegert," Alka said, "this book contains records of some of my experiences, and some special things about this world. I will return again before the next Harvest Day. Until then, you can think about it. I won’t bother you any longer. I’m off now. Goodbye."
With that, Alka bid farewell to Siegert and walked along the path towards the port.
Watching Alka’s back, Siegert looked at the Golden Bracelet and the small book in his hand. Though he didn’t fully understand Alka’s words, he at least knew he would see him again next year. It seems to be something very important.
But isn’t this Golden Bracelet too precious? Wouldn’t Mom give me a beating? The bracelet looked as if it were entirely made of gold, and the two Gemstones on it still sparkled in the dusk glow. The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed. He had actually accepted such a precious gift from Alka. Just as he thought of chasing after Alka, he realized Alka had already disappeared from sight.
How did he run so fast?
Shaking his head helplessly, he took the items back home and opened the book Alka had given him.
What welcomed him was a new world.
「On the other side, Alka was heading towards the port.」
Now that he possessed Treasure, Alka could naturally help those around him become Treasure Seekers. The booklet not only spoke of Extraordinary matters but also detailed some specifics. With the Golden Bracelet, Siegert would surely be able to feel the special nature of the Extraordinary, allowing him to make mental preparations.
With these thoughts, Alka returned to the ship.
"Did you finish your business?" Jason asked, sitting by the ship’s wheel as Alka returned.
Alka nodded. "Finished. Let’s set sail."
With that, he waved his hand, controlling the sailboat out of the berth and back onto their course.
Jason stood up reluctantly, taking the helm. There’s no choice. After all, this Spell Ship doesn’t have an automatic navigation function; it’s one of the more low-end types. So, they had to take turns at the helm. It won’t be long before this ship is obsolete. We’ll just have to endure for now. Buying a new ship at this point would just be wasting money.
As the ship sailed, Alka went below deck to his crafting room. The crafting room was currently piled with various dolls and puppets, and even some preserved flesh.
Doll Lucilia was in the middle of crafting something. When she saw Alka arrive, she turned her head to look at him.
"Alka, you’re back."
"Yes." Alka nodded and walked over. He took the puppet from Lucilia’s hand and began to work on it, the Hand of Precision appearing once more.
After some manipulation, the puppet seemed to be truly complete.
"Shell Puppet version 0.2. Give it a try."
Alka had crafted this using Soul-Host Puppet techniques, enhanced with knowledge gained through the Hand of Precision, and refined through research during this period. It had a customized design more suitable for Lucilia.
The puppet before them was made of an unknown wood-like material. It simulated human limbs, forming various joints, and possessed almost perfect mobility. It was capable of poses that even humans couldn’t achieve.
Looking at this new puppet, Lucilia eagerly emerged from her doll form and then entered the puppet.
Alka also watched the puppet’s changes nervously. Even though I’ve run many trials without any issues, I can’t help but feel a little tense. After all, this is my own creation.
