Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 377 - 209 Treasure: Ring of Light
CHAPTER 377: CHAPTER 209 TREASURE: RING OF LIGHT
The instant he saw this enemy, Alka was certain. This must be the previous owner of the Treasure mentioned in the Treasure Information—Simon’s captain. So this is the only Six Spirals enemy. Just as I thought.
Alka immediately ordered, "Julia, support us. I’ll deal with the one wearing the headband; the rest of you, clear out the other undead."
He took a moment to roughly assess the surroundings. None of them exude a dangerously threatening aura. This means these undead are at most Four Spirals, mostly between Two and Three Spirals. The strongest one is this creature in front of me, wearing the Treasure on its head. Good thing it’s already an undead and can’t use the Treasure’s power.
With Alka’s command, everyone immediately began to disperse and take action.
Julia began to sing aloud. Her spirited song, filled with strong battle intent, washed over everyone.
Alka instantly felt strength surging through his limbs. Even his Magic Power began to boil, becoming easier to control and more concentrated. Using Magic Power like this to cast offensive Spells will result in even stronger attacks.
As the song rang out, all the undead paused for a moment before resuming their advance.
This song of war was mainly aimed at intelligent enemies, greatly demoralizing them and causing them slight pressure. When used on these brainless, unintelligent undead, it merely shocked their shattered souls and put slight pressure on their bodies.
The reason Julia sang this war song was that they were surrounded, and such a song could greatly enhance their combat effectiveness.
Facing the enemy’s encirclement, a vast amount of pink mist spread from under Alka’s feet, sweeping out like a tide across the ground. This layer of thick fog covered the ground up to their ankles.
All the undead touched by the pink mist instantly slowed down. Their already sluggish movements now resembled those of elderly people on the brink of death.
A shattered Mirror Surface appeared on Alka’s face, and a figure holding a Shadow Scythe and wearing a Cloak of Light and Shadow emerged from it. This figure was the Dream Death God—the only intelligent creature Alka had seen in the Dream Realm.
Alka attached a circle of Mirror to his waist and abdomen. It then shattered, and the broken pieces converged into a black and white sphere of light and shadow. The sphere instantly surged with a massive amount of light and shadow Energy, suddenly forming a cloak that completely enveloped Alka.
At this moment, Alka’s appearance resembled the Dream Death God, only he appeared more robust. His cloaked figure concealed his face and limbs. The color of his skin and flesh was only gradually revealed from beneath his slightly raised, drooping sleeves.
An enormous Shadow Scythe appeared in Alka’s hands as well.
This wasn’t the first time he had used the Dream Death God form in the outside world. Beyond the Dream Realm, he had already used and trained with it numerous times in reality. Only in this way can I better exert my due strength in battle.
When he used it in the outside world, the experience was completely different from that within the Dream Realm. Without the strong support of the Dream Realm’s pink mist, the Energy consumption increased dramatically.
This state can’t last long. According to my prior tests, with my Four Spirals strength, I can maintain this state for about 20 minutes. But to ensure safety, I’ll only use half my Magic Power to sustain this state. The consumption is vast, but correspondingly, the boost in strength is surprising!
From within the Cloak of Light and Shadow, two Blue Cards flew out. Yet Alka’s hands did not move. He still held the Scythe firmly.
The Blue Cards rushed towards the enemy. The two Blue Cards first streaked past the enemy, exploding on either side of it. Ten chains shot out from the explosions, tightly binding the creature.
Alka had already raised his Scythe and, in an instant, slashed towards the enemy.
With a CLANG, a sharp screech of metal followed, exceptionally jarring.
Alka’s Scythe had already cut into the enemy’s waist, but only as deep as the blade’s edge. As he exerted more force, it continued to slowly slice through the enemy. The enemy’s body was too resilient; its form, composed of metal and flesh, offered strong resistance to the Scythe’s slash.
An undead lunged at Alka from the side. Its hand had just been raised when it was pierced through. An Ice Bullet pinned it in place.
A ribbon shot over, shattering the frozen undead into pieces.
The enemy in front of Alka had also broken free from the Water Chain’s restraint. Dense, dark-green Energy appeared in both its hands as it rapidly swung at Alka. Just as it was about to strike Alka, light and shadow pulsed, and Alka’s figure immediately vanished from before it. The Scythe’s blade vanished along with him.
A large amount of black liquid quickly flowed from the gash in its waist. A small flame then appeared there, instantly igniting the Black Oil.
A flicker of light and shadow, and Alka reappeared behind the enemy. A sliver of white light now edged the blade of the Shadow Scythe in his hand.
Raising the Scythe high, he fiercely slashed down again.
The blade slashed diagonally downward from the enemy’s neck. This time, the Scythe’s edge was even sharper.
