Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 379 - 209 Treasure: Ring of Light_3
CHAPTER 379: CHAPTER 209 TREASURE: RING OF LIGHT_3
Alka swung the Scythe, extinguished the flames on the headband, and then hung it at his waist.
A small white flame appeared in his hand, which he threw into the fire pit.
The white Holy Flame altered the surrounding orange-red fire, transforming it into a pure white Holy Fire.
Within the Holy Fire, a wisp of protein-colored soul floated out, lingered in the air for a moment, and then disappeared.
Seeing this scene, Alka nodded in satisfaction.
He had just discovered that the enemy’s movements were unusually strange, as if something was affecting this body, preventing it from launching an attack. Otherwise, Alka wouldn’t have been able to take down this zombie so easily.
Sure enough, it was the soul within the shell that hadn’t completely dissipated, praying for eternal peace.
Meanwhile, the conduits within the shell filled with Undead Energy and Black Oil forcibly controlled the shell to launch an attack.
Looking at the body in the fire, now nearly reduced to ashes, Alka turned to observe everyone’s situation.
At this moment, various incomplete corpses lay around each of them, and they were still facing a few moving zombies.
They formed a semicircle with Alka at the center.
After checking the remaining Magic Power within, Alka raised the black Scythe in his hand, and the robe of light and shadow surged into the Scythe along his hands.
Then, Alka forcefully threw the Scythe, taking with it the last thread of light and shadow from his body as well.
Now, on Alka’s body, only a large hole in his abdomen remained, with a sphere of light floating in the middle.
The spiraling black Scythe drew an arc, severing the necks of the still-living zombies one by one.
After tracing a semicircle, it shattered into a Mirror Surface and disappeared as it approached Alka.
Likewise, the hole in Alka’s waist and abdomen shattered, and the Mirror on his face sank as well.
With the enemies defeated, Jason lowered his left hand and the gun raised in his right hand.
He gave Alka a thumbs up with his left hand.
"That move was pretty cool."
"Hmph, of course it was."
The two smiled at each other, and then Alka began to check everyone’s condition.
In such a brawl, it was inevitable that everyone sustained some external injuries.
Pororo had two claw marks on his arm, currently glowing green, signaling an invasion of strange Energy.
Chadite was doing okay, but the pant leg of her right leg had completely disappeared, and the semicircular ring she had been using was now positioned on her thigh.
The uncovered skin of her lower leg and the front of her upper thigh was covered with dark green rotten flesh and some Black Oil from the conduits.
As clear water washed away the dirt, large areas of bruising could be seen on her tender white skin.
This must have been the result of using the ring multiple times for powerful attacks, causing impact injuries.
A melodic and soothing song began to play, and then two ribbons shot out, wrapping around Pororo and Chadite.
The green Energy brought by the song passed through the ribbons onto the two of them.
The claw marks on Pororo’s hands oozed green pus, and soon fresh blood began to flow.
Jason, already at his side, quickly used the bandages he had prepared to wrap Pororo’s wounds.
At the same time, the bruises on Chadite’s leg began to fade. There was also a dark green wound on her hand.
Once the wound bled fresh blood, Alka began to bandage her up too.
He then simply wrapped his left hand. The bone in his left arm wasn’t fully broken but was certainly fractured, requiring some rest.
At this time, Lucilia, on a piece of rubble, was spraying a large amount of clear water from her hands, cleaning the grime from Ling by her side.
Though small in stature, they were melee fighters, making it unavoidable for dirt to stick to them when injuring their enemies. The advantage, however, was that their puppet bodies weren’t afraid of the undead toxins of their enemies.
"Wash more. You help me wash too. It’s so smelly, I can’t stand it, and this outfit is ruined," Lucilia complained while cleaning.
The recent battle had been intense, leaving no time for the two to avoid the splatters of grime. Being small, they were quickly covered all over, and now an unavoidable stench emanated from their bodies.
As they spoke, a large amount of clean water poured from above, thoroughly scrubbing them.
It was Pororo, now bandaged on both hands, who had come over to rinse them off with a large amount of light blue water.
"This water... imbued with Magic Power? It’s so effective at cleaning!" Lucilia exclaimed in amazement.
The seemingly ordinary light blue liquid could quickly remove the filth from them and also eliminate the stench.
Watching this, Jason couldn’t resist patting Pororo’s shoulder.
"What Spell is this? Give me a rinse too."
Pororo turned to glance at Jason and then shook his head dismissively, signaling him to move aside. Jason, having been focused on long-range attacks, hadn’t been dirtied at all.
At this point, Alka and Chadite also came over to Pororo.
Pororo glanced at the two of them and, using his other hand, sprayed a large amount of blue liquid, cleaning the grime off Chadite and washing the smell off Alka.
Alka had been using a robe of light and shadow during close combat with the enemy. All the splattered filth was ultimately blocked by the robe. Therefore, he hadn’t gotten any foul residue on himself, but there was still a lingering stench.
While everyone rested, Alka went directly to the edge of the ruins and retrieved something from the back of a corpse. This body was supposed to be buried in the ruins, but Alka, on his way out, had kicked it aside.
It turned out to be a small round Shield that had been strapped to the man’s back.
Carrying the small Shield, Alka walked out to where everyone was sitting by the edge of the woods. The area where they had just fought was emitting a strong stench.
Alka walked over, letting the breeze blow the unpleasant odor away as it came towards him.
Jason saw Alka holding a Shield in one hand and a headband in the other and asked, "What nice things are those?"
Alka did not answer but instead leaned against a big tree to sit down. He then began spraying water from his hand, washing the two items he was holding.
First, he cleaned the Shield thoroughly.
The small round Shield was a bit larger than an adult’s head and meant to be equipped on the arm. It had a beautiful bronze metallic color and scale-like patterns on its surface.
Alka performed a simple test.
"It can reflect some Energy Attacks, and the Shield itself is quite sturdy—a decent piece of defensive equipment. Who wants it?"
Looking at the small round Shield in Alka’s hands, everyone looked at each other and finally shook their heads.
"Does nobody want this?"
"The Shield would affect my speed and agility," Chadite said, waving her hands.
Pororo spread his hands. "This Shield isn’t even as large as my palm."
A size mismatch.
Alka could understand why these two didn’t want it. It truly wasn’t suitable.
He turned to look at Julia and Jason.
"My ribbons can form a Shield," Julia said.
"I don’t like it," Jason replied.
Upon hearing Jason’s words, Alka couldn’t help but snort twice.
"Alright, I guess it goes into storage then."
He then picked up the now cleaned headband. The headband no longer emitted a golden glow.
Overall, it was platinum-colored, with a bright and shiny surface after cleaning. A golden line ran through it, with a triangular decoration in the middle. The triangle was made of overlapping gold and silver, with a triangular yellow crystal embedded in the center.
This was the biggest reward from their venture.
Holy Grail Level Treasure: Ring of Light.
Holding it, Dream Catcher was already starting to repel him, while Mirror didn’t seem to mind.
"What kind of equipment is this?" Lucilia, sitting beside Alka, asked.
Alka looked down at her.
Then, looking at everyone, he said with a smile, "This is a... Treasure."
