Chapter 466 - 238 Construct Attack_3
CHAPTER 466: CHAPTER 238 CONSTRUCT ATTACK_3
He then immediately launched an attack towards Alka and the others above.
The surface of the Teleportation Gate was still fluctuating as conical constructs, identical to the one that had just attacked, flew out one after another.
However, these objects appeared shaky; some had exposed parts without shells, and others were even missing components.
Based on their appearance, these clearly couldn’t match the power of the first construct that had emerged.
The only flawless one was the one directly in front of them.
A flame-like Energy Bullet shot over, and Alka quickly rolled to the side.
The red Energy Bullet burned a deep pit into the ground, the earth crystallizing from the immense Energy.
Better not get hit.
Getting hit by this meant death or dismemberment; fortunately, the attack didn’t seem too fast.
More flying machines emerged.
They began to launch attacks, surrounding everyone.
Alka threw out several blue cards.
These cards exploded in mid-air, ejecting aqua-blue chains one after another, binding the flying machines suspended in the air.
As everyone dodged swiftly, the flying machines changed their Energy Bullet attacks into some sort of beam.
A penetrating Energy Bullet flew out and, with Jason’s precise shot, downed a flying construct.
More and more orange-red energy beams were fired, forcing everyone to scatter and evade the various attacks.
Alka finally understood why the Difficulty was Second Stage: all the flying constructs floating above attacked with Second Stage power.
Without Second Stage capabilities, even dodging would be strenuous.
BOOM!
Thunder roared.
Pororo, wreathed in lightning, began to wave his hands from a distance.
Bolt after bolt of lightning transformed into arrow-like attacks and shot out.
But clearly, his aim wasn’t good; none of them hit. However, the lightning bursts created weak electrical currents in the surroundings.
These currents were very effective at slowing down the flying machines.
While rolling to dodge, Alka threw out a Silver Card, slicing a flying machine in half.
A Mirror Surface appeared on his face.
Mirrors resembling cards appeared all around. They were engraved with unknown Spells and then attached themselves to everyone’s bodies.
As the Mirrors shattered, a Shield formed on each person.
Julia sang loudly while dodging. Ribbons shot out from behind her, autonomously attacking the flying machines in the sky.
Her song, as soft and free as the wind, quickened everyone’s speed once more, allowing them to dodge more skillfully and avoid looking too disheveled.
Alka suddenly transformed into the Dream Death God and quickly reached Juanlu’s side.
He swung his Scythe, destroying the flying constructs near Juanlu, then dragged him to safety some distance away.
Then he shouted loudly to Pororo, "Spread the Thunder out! Stop their advance!"
As he finished speaking, the Dream Catcher emerged from his chest, and a large amount of pink mist billowed out.
This time, it didn’t stay on the ground but enveloped everyone.
Dense electrical currents spread through the area. Then, the machines in the sky suddenly began to shake.
This was especially true for the constructs with exposed internal components; they started smoking in mid-air, and some even exploded outright.
"AH!"
Hearing a scream, Alka disappeared again, instantly using the Dream Death God’s blink ability to reappear beside Matilda.
He swung his Scythe, destroying the nearby flying machines, and immediately dragged her to Juanlu’s side.
"Sorry, I didn’t know..." Matilda began.
"It’s okay. It’s my weakness that held everyone back," Matilda said softly.
Alka had never imagined that the powerful Matilda was actually not very skilled in combat. She seemed to have never dealt with attacks descending from the sky and appeared somewhat flustered. Thinking about the region Matilda came from and where she grew up, Alka understood, yet he also felt annoyed with himself for never having considered it. In such a place, the mere presence of living beings was remarkable, let alone engaging in combat. She had probably only ever practiced fighting against her own kin. Alka realized he had been too careless.
Numerous golden beams of light began to rain down from the sky, disrupting the attacks of the surrounding flying machines.
"How much longer for Simon?" Chadite shouted. She saw more and more flying machines pouring out of the Teleportation Gate, as if their numbers were endless.
By now, many of them were injured. The enemy was too numerous, and they could fly.
A construct floated between Simon’s hands; he was rapidly analyzing it, seeking a definitive solution.
"Soon! Just buy me a little more time!" Simon shouted back. "These flying machines rely on visual detection for enemies, not Magic Power scanning!"
He loudly announced his discovery.
Hearing this, the Triangular Gem on the Ring of Light on Chadite’s forehead spun rapidly.
She reached out and clenched her fist.
The entire area immediately plunged into darkness.
