CHAPTER 478: CHAPTER 242: MUSEUM_3
In the past, without this information, it was naturally impossible to ask specific questions. Now that he knew, he could obtain accurate answers through specific inquiries within the Dream Realm. He could also discern the accuracy of this information. After a round of questioning, he confirmed that the information he had learned that day was correct and had no issues. Balazs had not deceived them in these matters either.
The people living in this Endless Sea indeed improved rapidly in the first two stages; their Magic Power was turbulent and not calm. This meant that Alka and his companions were indeed very conspicuous. Although Balazs harbored no ill intentions toward them this time, they couldn’t expect everyone to be so benign. Not to mention, other strangers would occasionally land on the island, and Alka and his companions wouldn’t be leaving this place for some time. As Balazs had said, if just one or two people had stable Magic Power, it wouldn’t be surprising; there were always exceptions in the world. But if a large group of people were like this, it would inevitably make others suspicious. Balazs would also be leaving in a few days. As a traveling merchant, he couldn’t stay long, or he would struggle to return to the Southern Cross if the island drifted too far.
This matter needs careful consideration, as it concerned their safety.
Thinking of this, Alka returned to his own Dream Realm. Along the way, he cleared out some of the surrounding Dream Realm creatures.
Not long after Alka woke from the Dream Realm, day broke. However, today was intended for rest, so the group didn’t leave the ship and continued to relax on deck.
Just after they finished breakfast, Simon excitedly pulled Alka onto the deck.
"What’s the hurry?" Alka asked.
"What else could it be? We haven’t tested that Cannon yet!" Simon said impatiently.
Hearing this, Alka then remembered.
On deck, they retrieved the Cannon parts from their Pocket Rings, and Alka watched as Simon reassembled them. Looking at the Cannon before them, its overall design was very simple, aside from the intricate patterns covering its surface.
"How does this thing work?" Alka, who hadn’t studied the Cannon, turned to Simon and asked.
To Alka’s surprise, Simon also shook his head. "I don’t know. I didn’t have much time yesterday, so I only gave it a quick look."
With that, he began examining it again. He fumbled with the entire Cannon for a good while before he seemed to understand how it operated.
A few Energy Stones appeared in his hand. He opened the breech of the Cannon, revealing a small, square compartment surrounded by dense inscriptions. He tossed the Energy Stones inside and then pushed the compartment closed.
Jason’s hands surged with Magic Power as he pressed them against both sides of the Cannon’s rear. As the Magic Power flowed in, patterns lit up across the entire Cannon. Three Spell Arrays appeared at the Cannon’s muzzle, overlapping each other.
"Wait, wait! Are you planning to fire it here?" Alka quickly interrupted.
Seeing Simon’s slightly puzzled expression, Alka realized he genuinely intended to fire it.
He really wants to fire it here! Alka thought.
He quickly waved his hand and commanded, "Sound of Dawn, take us one kilometer away from the island’s shore!"
Only then did he turn to Simon. "Where do you think you are? You can’t just fire a Cannon in someone else’s harbor!"
Hearing this, Simon realized he had gotten carried away and quickly released his hands.
Once the Sound of Dawn reached the waters near the island’s cliffs and stopped, Alka said, "Alright, pick a target."
Hearing this, Simon eagerly rubbed his hands. Jason, standing beside him, watched with keen anticipation.
That Cannon looks incredibly powerful, I want to fire it too! Jason thought.
Simon rotated the Cannon barrel, aiming it at the top of the cliff. As he manipulated the controls, Magic Power surged towards the Cannon. The Triple Array floating at the muzzle began to rotate.
BOOM!
The entire Sound of Dawn dipped slightly into the sea; the Cannon’s recoil was incredibly powerful. An Energy Cannonball shot out from the muzzle.
The cone-shaped, light-gray Energy Cannonball struck the clifftop Simon had aimed at in the blink of an eye. A dazzling light flared, making everyone squint. The Energy Cannonball exploded in a spherical shape, the blast radius approximately three meters in diameter. There was no shrapnel, only pure Energy diffusing into a sphere.
When the spherical Energy dissipated, a remarkably clean, arc-shaped, deep indentation appeared on the clifftop, as if a hot spoon had scooped out a piece of butter.
"So, is it powerful or not?" Matilda asked quietly when no one else spoke.
Simon pondered for a moment. "It should be very powerful. Look at how smooth that notch is. If this Energy Cannonball hit the Sound of Dawn, the damage would be just as clean."
But what’s the maximum damage this Energy Cannonball can inflict? We can’t tell for now. Regardless, its power is certainly immense. Simon mused.
Just then, Julia remarked, "The Energy sphere created by that Energy Cannonball is similar to spatial cutting. That section of earth was spatially severed, not blasted away."
"Huh? It’s that powerful?" Even Simon hadn’t expected the Cannon to be this potent.
It actually possesses a spatial-type attack!
Hearing this, Alka patted the Destruction of Azula beside him.
"This thing might be the most powerful weapon on our ship. So, where should we put it?" Alka mused aloud.
It isn’t feasible to carry it around all the time; it’s clearly meant to be mounted somewhere.
"Let me see, let me find a good spot," Simon said.
He planned to mount it on the ship. I definitely need to maximize its wide firing arc. Moreover, it needs to be connected to the Sound of Dawn’s automated systems so the ship can control and fire it autonomously. Simon thought.
