Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline
Chapter 386 Messengers of divinities
CHAPTER 386: 386 MESSENGERS OF DIVINITIES
[OP: ]
-Ooooooooooooooooong!
The moment a purple light exploded from the island in the sky and covered the entire battlefield, a crack in reality had broken out a distance away from this battlefield.
[{( Hoho? Someone in this small world can cast a magic of this level? )}]
[{( Ummm. Ummm? I’m shivering! )}]
[{( You little girl. Don’t get too excited over this small magic. I sense the presence of two divinities, a pseudo celestial, and many strong inhuman individuals. )}]
[{( Aiyoo gramps! Don’t be so humble! We’re here to give L’s. Not to take F’s from these tiny mortals~! )}]
Three creatures had arrived in the physical world. Three creatures that should not have existed in this world.
They were here as a mercenary hired by the one leading the group in their left hand they had to fight the opponents on their right.
They were standing quite some distance away from the battlefields, however, their humongous sizes were so grand that not only did they seem like a humongous mountain, the moment they had appeared, the entire environment around them had started changing.
The sky above their heads had cleared up and the sunlight of the bright morning sun was gracing them, washing their pure white bodies with their greetings.
There was a unique smile on three of their places, however, all three of them were just observing the light that was covering the battlefield right before them.
-Ooooooooooooooooooooong!
Created by El with the help of the core of the fortress, many of the high level spells that she had prepared beforehand, and with the unlimited pool of her Cary’s Mana.
[{( Both of them are on that island, however, the fake celestial is somewhere in that big crowd. )}]
[{( Then why ’we just standin here!? Seems to me like thy have nyot even started yet. )}]
They were a part of the reinforcements that the emperor had hired with the money that he possessed and he knew even though there might be no force that could deal with that floating fortress or this big ghost knight in their world, there certainly were many individuals in this world that could deal with something as small as this.
As both El and Lucy knew well, there were countless forces that were much stronger than them in this Worldline. They were practically at the bottom of strength rankings in this world, and there were hardly any powers that they could deal with on the higher realm with the powers, authorities, skills, and knowledge that they possessed.
Of course, they were certain that they would win in any circumstances, however, getting the kind of perfect victory that they aim for was not something simple in the normal circumstances.
However, the situation is different now.
[{( We were paid to fight in this battle, we weren’t instructed when we will have to fight. Besides, this is so fun~! Hehehe! )}]
The three of them watched as the purple light somehow devoured every single soldier, knight, creature and living being.
Not all of them could see it, but there were original rules floating all around the sky, making up a magic circle that was the one to actually cover the entire battlefield.
The ones who got in contact with this spell did not understand what was going on and even the emperor who had just returned to his rank was stunned at this new sight.
He was one of the few who could see the things in the sky, and he was not expecting them to forcefully remove all these people from this battlefield all at once.
He was not expecting them to be capable of that level of magic, in fact, he himself knew just how difficult a mass teleportation of this level was or how even some spell masters were incapable of teleporting so many people.
However, he also knew that losing all of them right now would not be a good thing for their side as even the six commanders including the sword saint had been caught up in this spell.
Everything except their own army was getting transported to somewhere even the best mage of the emperor could not understand.
It was a sudden and strange occurrence, and he knew there was only one person on their side who could have actually been able to cast a spell of this level.
However, if they were using such a powerful weapon so early, he knew they were putting themselves in harm’s way.
He knew by now that the two of them, the twin siblings, were only in their perfect state when they were doing things together.
He can use magic, the emperor knew it, however, he knew the person he had spoken with just a moment ago was no mage.
He was merely a sword wielder so when it comes to actual true magic of this scale, only his other part was capable of something so grand...
However, he knew the mortal limits. And he knew the kind of strength it required to cast something of this scale.
She might have done it with some tricks, but even her own body wasn’t strong enough to function well after doing something like that.
She was most probably going to be incapacitated for the rest of the day, which meant he was sacrificing his other half just to clear out these useless minions...
"Going to such lengths..."
He had perhaps underestimated that masked fool.
There was something more to him than just the strengths, powers, and those eyes.
He was also ready to sacrifice even his own other half for his purposes.
-Oooooooooooooooong!
He can block a few of their teleportations with his authority and he did it, however, he couldn’t block all of them vanishing from right in front of his eyes.
There was no way to turn this around anymore since he had failed to foresee this situation in the first place.
Things turned out to be just the way He wanted them to be.
At the end, the useless forces were gone and all that remained of the emperor’s forces was his few elites, the six commanders, and the reinforcements that had just arrived on the battlefield.
"Those useless things..."
He had paired a hefty sum to get them here.
There were going to be consequences of their presence in this world as well, but if they were here, his chances of victory had already increased significantly.
And, as the emperor had already figured out, the enemy general’s goal was a simple one on one duel with him.
Something he knew he had a better chance at winning, however, doing so would have put the rest of his force into an isolated situation.
However, that was a matter of before things had come to this.
[ "Lucy..." ]
[ "I know. I sense them clearly. There are three of them. All seems to be the lowest ranked messengers." ]
[ "I’ll-." ]
[ "You’ll do nothing. Just rest until she is done." ]
He had already made preparations for this situation. He was not going to let her suffer right after using something like that and he already knew what kind of reinforcements he had bought with all the money that he had.
And truthfully, both of them knew he was not just a dumb bastard.
[ "I’ll rest, but if things go south-." ]
[ "Let them go wherever they want to go. South, north, west, east. Don’t care about that, and just recover. Chug down those expensive potions and use those items." ]
On the battlefield, the role of a general was very crucial to the entire flow of the battle as well as to the progression of that battle.
The emperor was a capable general who knew how to use his troops so even with what he had left, Lucy knew that dealing with him would be a difficult task.
And now that the three of them had arrived on the battlefield, he knew it would be even more difficult to deal with these forces.
{{ "Do not fear, everyone! Charge forward!!!" }}
Now that the did not have the numerical advantage, the emperor knew that he had to use the other means.
This was a war of honour and his place as the emperor but more than a war it was a battle for his life.
He was someone that knew the meaning of authority and understood strength.
Even if his subjects might be nothing less than tools for him, he was someone that ruled with not force but diplomacy.
{ "All front forces! Block! Back line! Evacuate to the fortress along with the third unit!" }
Both generals had issued their orderers to their forces.
Lucy’s side and the crown prince did not understand why he was being taken to the fortress by Mister Friday and Miss Eva but he knew that if he was issuing that order, there must be some concrete reason for it.
-Oooooooooooooooooooong!
And, when they were floating through the air to be transported to the fortress in the sky, they, for the first time in their lives, witnessed something that they had only ever read from the scriptures.
"That..."
"Is that...?"
"Yes."
"The messengers of divinities."
Some call them angels, some demon spawns, some call them divine messengers, some call them Hermiris, while some know them as the Muniradas.
The beings who possess divinities, the beings that similar to the fairies could cross the dimensions and realms at will, and beings that were depicted very vividly in various texts.
Though...
"They will fight those things?"
The most common depiction of these beings was given as: mountainous terrors covered in countless eyes and ears, possessing numerous hands and limbs, and beings that did not possess a certain form.
"Yes..."
Just looking at them can kill some normal human beings with weak mental fortitude.
And, since they were covered in eyes... when one looked at them, the many eyes on their materialised physical bodies looked back into their eyes.
Looking at not just their physical bodies, but their entire soul or the mental body as well.
