Twin Reincarnation: Epics Of The Worldline
Chapter 410 Three Questions
CHAPTER 410: 410 THREE QUESTIONS
[OP: ]
{ "Will he make it?" }
I have no idea, nya!
{ "Believe in him, ptsss! He can do it~!" }
He was standing down, his entire body covered in a colorless energy.
There was something about him that did not make sense right now.
-Oooooooooong!
Despite having gained divinity through the creation of the myth, his current body did not look as unique as it should.
He was no normal mortal anymore. He had transcended into the realm of the divine already, though there were still some elements of him that bound him to the world.
He was not a god, he was a mortal. A transcended, living myth.
A swordsman that had slain demons and divine. He had fought against those that did not stand in the realm of the mortals, and yet he had come out victorious.
Not only had he mastered the sword the second time, he had achieved a high mastery of magic and elements, something not all swordsmen could possess.
There was something about him that made him different from the others.
And, at this moment, he was on the verge of achieving something unfathomable.
-Ooooooooooong!
{ "That’s the final phase." }
How can you tell, nya?
{ "I can’t. I..." }
The primordial dragon looked at the black kitten with a concerned expression, as well as hopeful eyes.
{ "I can sense certain death approaching him so... if he cannot overcome this trial, then... he would..." }
The colorless energy that was covering him was so unique that just being near it was making the three unique cosmic creatures weaker.
It was not just about the pressure that was generated due to the energy, it was more about the nature of this unique energy of wills that were different from the worldly energies like Mana or Aura.
The three creatures were unique in their own rights. One possessed divinity and was a primordial being, the other was a celestial merchant of darkness, the last of its kind, and the third... well, the third was the child of a being that even the gods around the Worldline feared.
There was concern on one, the other was uncertain about the result, while Silver, the last of them, was simply hoping that the contractor that was the only friend of his dear contractor would finish what they were up to.
"Huuuuu..."
Lucy did not know what was happening around him since all his attention was focused on the things that were happening inside of him.
The Aur was the power that filled the world from within, the Mana inside of him calmed the base, and the divine power that was only in its fragmented state was resonating with the worldly power that of will that was gathering inside of him.
He had processed the energies with elixirs, he was starting to fill the an empty void, which he created in the centre of his body to accommodate the new kind of energy that he was gathering, and was now purifying the energies under the restriction negating effects of the dragon’s authority.
As a mortal, even while possessing an epic, he should not have been able to do what he was doing right now.
He was going around the simple path to make it possible but it was still not something a mortal should have been able to do...
He was dying with each passing moment. The pain born from each moment that this energy of will stayed inside of him brought him the greatest horror that he had not even felt during his fight against the emperor.
He was not weak. To defeat a being that had become a divine apostle was not something just anyone could do, and yet he had somehow accomplished that.
He was a swordmaster now, he had achieved unison with his unique red sword. There were few mortals on this planet that would have been able to go against him even in this weakened state.
Yet, even while having a strong body of transident, he was suffering great pain.
[{( Why do you seek power? )}]
Perhaps he was hallucinating, but, when he approached the last stage where he had to solidify all the energy into the vessel that he created inside of him, he heard a strange voice.
Something familiar, yet something that he had not come across previously in either of his lives.
But, it was also the question the answer to which he knew the best.
’Because I promised her...’
The answer to something that did not need much explanation was a simple wish. A shared wish that they both held above everything else.
[{( Should a wish be more important than the world? )}]
At first, he thought it actually was all just his mind playing tricks on him, but while creating the innermost surface of the core, he realised it was not an illusion.
A voice was actually asking him something.
Something the answer to which he already knew about.
’It should... this wish, at least... should be more important than this world.’
They were the creators of this world.
They created this, tested this, made this the way it was before they came here.
It was not just about them having a stake in the existence of this world, it was all about a wish that they had when they were creating this world.
When they reincarnated here, when they felt their existence as babies, they knew even the world could not take their wish away from them.
So... yes it was.
This wish of theirs... their wish to make a world of their own and have happiness, have a happy life together the way they wanted.
That was all that they wanted, and the existing world did not stand any meaning if this wish of theirs was not fulfilled.
[{( Will this power help you achieve your wish? )}]
’It will. Undoubtedly.’
He knew he was going to get yelled at as soon as El came here. He knew he was going to get beaten up like a dog, he knew he was not supposed to do this... he knew it all and yet he was doing it.
The reason?
He knew if he couldn’t have this power, then the power would simply be wasted. And, if he could have this power, then the next fight, the next war that they are going to fight would be much easier than what they had predicted previously.
So, he wanted this power-. No. he needed this power.
[{( Then you shall have it. )}]
He did not know what this voice was, who it belonged to, why he was hearing it at that moment or what authority it had for it to allow a power of this scale to a human like him... if it was the one allowing it to him that is... he did not know or understand it.
But one thing was for sure.
-OOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!
He felt the pain that he was feeling since the last few hours concentrating in the core area that he was making for the energy of wills.
-ZAAAAAAAAA...!
The core that he was trying so hard to create since the last few hours got solidified in an instant.
All the energies in his body suddenly found harmony as if they were helped by a higher power.
Even the Mana and Aura in his body worked in order to create the new core that was about to form in his body... and the core would be complete in a moment as well.
Just...
"AGHHHHHH...!"
If he could just endure this one last surge of intense excruciating pain resembling giving birth ten times at once... then he would achieve something impossible.
{ "He did it?" }
Nyaaaaaa...! What the hell!
{ "Yeiii~! You did it~!" }
"Haaa... Haaa..."
Pain was just an emotion.
[Ding!]
If it was something of this degree, he would happily endure even the worst of the pains.
"See? Haaa... haaaa... it was possible."
He knew he would lose his consciousness for the time being when he did achieve that, but that was beside the point.
[You have achieved something incredible!]
There was a smile on his face, fresh boiling blood present all around him.
There were all kinds of impurities mixed within this blood, and along with those impurities, there was also something strange...
Nya...?
They did not expect to see something like this here.
But, to the eyes that had seen more of the world than most others of the worldline, this ’entity’ was no laughing matter.
{ "W-what is that thing doing here!" }
{ "Whaaaa! Ptssss! A parasite!!" }
Even Cary dragon was shocked at this. It simply was unbelievable...
