CHAPTER 417: THE HOLY DISRUPTION

[Lucy’s POV: ]

[Thus they defeated the final adversary, and stood before their final stop.]just

The viewers or the people of this world watching this stream couldn’t hear what the members of Clubs were saying since they communicated through the special device provided to them.

We were the only ones who could hear what they were saying or in how difficult of a situation they were in.

’Even the higher beings were uncertain if they were having an easy time with these creatures or not.’

They were strong enough to be difficult opponents but the special masks that everyone wore made it impossible for the others to understand their current states.

And this made things easier for me.

{ "The creature they defeated was also called the Master of strings, a creature of power, pride, and an exoskeleton so hard it was near impossible for even the Aura blades of their captain to slash through it." }

Commenting for the audience was easier when we weren’t the ones in the combat.

El could handle everything related to the system interface on her own so I was left with only the simple tasks of commenting, handling the donations, and answering to the highest paid comments.

’The cost of using my unique streaming skill was absurdly high. However, if the content was something like this with the quality we were offering, the profit we made overshadowed the losses.’

We were earning, and at the same time, with the ongoing creation of the first Epic, we were moving forward with the main project.

{ "Good work defeating the little spider. Take a short rest and get ready for the main dungeon run." }

They took their time but they managed to clear the area and even though they moved carefully as I had taught them, avoiding most of the strongest opponents, they still ended up facing a good number of strong opponents.

This last opponent they faced, a six metre tall spider that could use threads stronger than some of the hardest metals present in This world, was not something easy for even them.

’The creature was almost (Level-500) and even though it was only an A rank creature and one of the lesser versions of the real strongest of this island, the ancient creature, it was unfathomably strong.’

El and I would have had a difficult time facing that thing on our own as well, but they worked together, used artifacts that we gave them in situations like these, and managed to get past the difficulty.

The fight that went on for a little over ten minutes was one of the highlights of this ongoing stream and the response it got form the people of this world was very positive.

’They were stunned how someone could deal with an opponent like that one.’

We had done a good job showing how difficult the enemy was to deal, how it was one of the strongest creatures of this island, and how there was no way even some of the absolutes would suffer when facing something like this. So, the public anticipated the loss of her team.

Sadly, they weren’t expecting them to possess a Runebook filled with a kind of rune spell that no one in this world had ever seen.

’It was the same Runebook El gave to Anna for fun, but Anna ended up filling it with spells so powerful that the creature that they initially had great difficulty dealing with, was completely destroyed in moments after the spell hit it.’

The audience were left stunned after seeing this, they did not know how to describe this but they knew there was little to no way what they had seen was the truth.

Some argued if they had used some kind of illusion and ran away or something. Or if the creature was even real in the first place, however, the experts of this world, the absolutes like emperor, Cathy’s grandma, or even the people from the Grand magic council confirmed what they had witnessed was, in fact, what was going on this island.

’It was fascinating how people had accepted the fact that some thieves were currently trying to do something even the absolutes had given up on.’

The members of Clubs now stood before the great walls that led to one of the most difficult dungeons of this world. A dungeon that not only had strong mobs, but also possessed many mini-bosses surpassing (Level-400) and the boss monster itself should also be above (Level-500).

It was a semi-spiritual creature, almost a ghost that not just anyone could deal with so even those who had challenged it in the past, the archmage and party of the emperor that also had Pope and the masters from all over the world, were defeated miserably.

’The last hurdle thus was judged impossible to overcome, that’s why they used the other means, asked help from the strongest transcendent of this world, the Headmaster, and created a place leading to the inner parts right under the boss chambers.’

They thought if conquering this dungeon wasn’t an option, since it was practically located in a position impossible to reach, they should create a place that’s the safest in the entire world.

’Ainzcradel wasn’t only a floating island with a fortress that was a near impossible to beat dungeon, it was also a place where some of the most important ’items’ of this world were stored.’

And these ’items’ included ’seeds’ of some of the powerful beings in the world, some infants that could revitalise the world in case everything ends, as well as people who had gone into a cryogenic slumber.

This island stored things that were more important than just some artifacts and relics.

There were secrets stored here that no common person of this world could possibly fathome.

’There were even beings of other worlds stored here as ’items.’

We were going to retrieve a few of the things when we finish everything here, but to finish those things, we will first have to clear this dungeon.

{ "Alright, everyone. Get into positions." }

And to clear the dungeon, they will have to deal with the boss monster. Without our help.

[ "They have done well until now." ]

[ "They could have done much better if they were a little better. Bastards wasted too much time on a rock kitty!" ]

El wasn’t satisfied with their performance but, the spectators who were finding the protagonists of this epic fascinating would certainly disagree with her remark.

’They were doing well for their first real field misssion.’

A dungeon of this kind and creatures that they have faced until now were basic opponents that they would have to face regularly going forward.

Messing here was certainly not something that she was going to approve, certainly not when any one of them could die a worse death than AJ did.

’She liked them quite a bit. Even the dumb NNN. She cherished that dirty killer crazy for her approval.’

They were her precious ’babies’ that she had nurtured with the intention of growing.

She wanted them to make the best of the best in this world.

She wanted them to go out into the world with their heads held high even when they weren’t following our commands, so that they can see the legacy they have built.

She wanted to be strong enough to stand on their own and achieve their dreams and goals even after we were gone, and perhaps help the protagonists in our absence.

’She was harsher with them since she was actually looking after them... which was not the whole point of this whole [Fool’s gambit] thing.’

We weren’t supposed to have any kind of attachment with them since they were mostly expendables. Especially the numbers.

’Numbers were fundamentally weaker and were only useful in certain circumstances. They weren’t an all purpose solder that could be used for anything.’

Sending them to missions that required their specialisations was one thing but since we knew there would always be unexpected things happening there, they all had to go together until the mission was small and certain.

’They were a team, a house that was only dealt individually when the hands were dividing all the cards.’

They were vulnerable in missions like this one where the conditions required strong combat powers.

’Even with all the artifacts and the protection gears, there was a threat to their lives.’

They could die, and it was inevitable. That’s why having attachments was only going to bring sadness and pain.

’I avoided making anything personal with them, but even though she was harsh with them, she cared for them.’

And it was going to create some unwanted drama in the near future.

I knew something would happen to them and she would end up doing something she wasn’t supposed to.

’I will have to prevent that from happening or at least lessen the impact that would be caused by the wave of the impact.’

She was stronger now, and more dangerous than she was a few months ago.

[Standing before the towering gates of the ancient fortress, unconquered even after centuries of fighting, they stood tall with a little hesitation in their eyes. Their eyes blazing with the same confidence behind the masks that revealed their identities.]

The island was filled with unnatural greenery, creatures of old times that they couldn’t have dealt with without the help of artifacts and boosts from Friday, and there was a constant threat to their lives here.
