Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations
Chapter 24: Get the Divorce
CHAPTER 24: CHAPTER 24: GET THE DIVORCE
In the evening, the Lamborghini headed towards Emerald Cove.
Justin Kingston sat in the back seat, his silhouette highlighted by the sunset. His thick and handsome eyebrows slightly frowned as his mind flashed back to the night seven years ago with Mia Lane, followed by the scenes from meeting the children for the first time a few days ago...
It felt unreal, leaving him in a bit of a daze.
There was some traffic ahead, so the car wasn’t moving fast.
Turning his gaze inadvertently, he saw a father and son walk out of a toy store by the roadside. The little boy held a blue robot lovingly, and the smile on the boy’s face when the man picked him up deeply touched him.
"Stop the car," Justin Kingston said to the driver, "let’s go to that toy store."
The driver quickly parked the car next to the store. Before he could get out, CEO Kingston headed to the toy store.
The store was large, spanning six floors, all selling children’s toys.
As Justin Kingston walked through the entrance, the young and beautiful guide stared at him in surprise, "CEO Kingston??"
"Do you have more of the same blue robot that the little boy just bought?" Justin Kingston’s lips parted slightly, carrying an innate nobility. He was calm and distant.
The guide nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, yes, I’ll get it for you right away!" Her infatuated heart was about to jump out!
"Do you have it in pink?" he added, "I want two."
"Okay, okay, okay." According to the news, CEO Kingston has two children! Didn’t expect such a high and mighty man to have a kind side.
After paying, the store clerk handed him a bouquet of flowers, "CEO Kingston, our store is having an anniversary celebration today. Buy two robots and get a bouquet, just right for your wife."
"..." Justin Kingston looked at the bouquet of roses in front of him, hesitated for three seconds before reaching out to take it.
As soon as he walked out, holding the toys and flowers, he was caught by a journalist’s camera.
The afternoon sun shone over Emerald Cove, dazzlingly warm in yellow.
The Lamborghini drove into the yard, stopping in front of the villa.
Mia Lane, dressed in a blue and white outfit, stood at the living room door and watched as Justin Kingston got out of the car holding two robots and a bouquet of roses, slightly surprised.
Buying gifts for the children was normal, but him buying flowers for her?
Justin Kingston walked towards her, and her sense of style gave him a fresh and gentle feeling.
For her taste in fashion, and her judgment of what to wear on which occasion, Justin Kingston admired her deeply.
As he passed by her, he smoothly handed the bouquet of roses into her arms and walked into the living room without looking back.
The rich fragrance of flowers filled the air, and Mia Lane came to her senses and followed him inside.
"These are gifts for Gigi and Dolly." Justin Kingston handed the robots to the butler, "We’re going to Clearwater Bay now, we will be back soon, you can prepare dinner."
"Okay, Mr. Kingston."
Justin Kingston turned, his gaze landing on the woman standing dumbfounded with the roses, "Put down the flowers, let’s go." After speaking, he walked towards the entrance.
Mia Lane quickly placed the roses on the coffee table and turned to follow him.
In the departing Lamborghini, Mia Lane sat next to Justin Kingston. Since he did not speak, the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
She had to look at the scenery outside the window, and the car was silent for about five minutes.
"Who exactly are you?"
Justin Kingston felt that this aesthetic wasn’t typical of a village leader’s insight.
Mia Lane turned her gaze to meet his, remaining calm, "You should trust your judgment, I am the children’s mother, it’s impossible for me to be a threat to you."
Their gazes met, the woman’s eyes steady.
Justin Kingston didn’t pursue further questions, he would continue his investigation.
After a while, Mia Lane spoke, "I really didn’t expect you to be 12 years older than me." No wonder you seem so steady, "By the way, how do you maintain your skin? You don’t look your age at all."
"Naturally." The man answered calmly.
Mia Lane couldn’t help but smile and continued to admire the scenery outside, truly a mysterious confidence.
The Lamborghini stopped in front of a villa at Clearwater Bay, and Mia Lane recovered and followed him out of the car.
Unexpectedly, Justin Kingston took her hand and led her towards the living room.
So today would he stand by her?
Kristina Kingston, wearing long sleeves and half an exquisite mask, stood in front of the sofa. Mia Lane couldn’t detect her emotions but felt an unmistakable pressure in the air.
His mother was very unhappy.
"I just wanted to see her, didn’t expect you to come too, fine, you have three days, get this marriage annulled." Kristina Kingston went straight to the point, her cold eyes fixed on Mia Lane, "Even if you dress well, you’re still but a village woman, what secret marriage for seven years? This may fool the media, but not me."
